Learn to find the seams in the current. Thats where the fish sit waiting for food to come to them
@@naplesluck thanks ,so just fish what i would anywhere else ? like a texas rig or small swimbait and top water and fluke ?
Dude I’m struggling at my home lake. It’s getting so much pressure anymore it’s next to impossible to catch a fish. The lake is only 1400 acres. Everyday there is at least 100-150 boats out there fishing the same spots over and over again. It’s discouraging
That is brutal! We've lived it!! Your very best bet is to do something different. Ignore every other boat and just go fishing. Maybe night fish? Swimbait while they finesse or finesse while they swimbait. Whatever it takes to be different.
@@tacticalbassin thanks guys. Yeah I’ve tried it all. It’s just tough with that many boats. I also think the pandemic and the fact they sprayed the weeds a year ago didn’t help. Boat sales in my area went through the roof.
@@Hiei1029 they should outlaw electronics on that lake sounds like to me. Also maybe trolling motor only. Limit the amount of boats on the lake. We have lakes in Texas that only allow so many boats per day. You better get in line before sunup if you want to fish.
I live in Florida should I be flipping right now and if so what’s the best rod for that
Search "Tacticalbassin flipping" or "tacticalbassin punching" for some detailed info. But our favorite rod, hands down at ANY price, is the Expride 7'11" XH. Here it is --> bit.ly/2nTq9FL
@@tacticalbassin quick question. Is 7'11" too long a rod for bank pitching and flipping? Thanks
6'10" med rod to throw that 1 oz dera coup? Why not a heavier rod?
It's a small single Treble, that rod does a Greta job of loading up and keeping them pinned.
@@tacticalbassin thanks for the info.
You can tell it’s shallow when you see the bottom of the water on a little phone screen
When I use a walk the dog top water my catch percentage is like 30%
Really? Wow... I struggle with the frog sometimes(like a lot) but it's rare that I miss a bite on a spook.
Too bad TW is so slow on processing orders. Two weeks out for "in stock" items.
We've been using the 2nd day air option this entire time and getting them right on time 👍 But the chatter online is that the lead times are wayyy better now for regular orders too. 🎣
Tell me about it man- I've gotten where I only order form them when I have to- which is when they're the only place I can find whatever I'm looking for. I just had to buy a P71 pop-r from them because no one else had it and it took them 15 days to process it and put it on a truck- pathetic.
@@tacticalbassin just placed an order yesterday for 5 lures (in stock) and the order said July 16th delivery.
@@stoneysdead689 yeah. went to local shop first, then ordered.
@@rrrr635 I try other online sources to before I go with TW- it's not that I'm really that angry with them or anything or that I dislike them- but when I order something I want to get it in time to be able to still use it. Right now it takes on average 20+ days to get something from TW- by then chances are conditions are different and I no longer even need it. I'll use it next year I guess.
Matt, I didn't get the invite :(
Why am I missing so may fish on frogs
Many
Try slow counting to three after the blowup, then hit it hard!
If you are not fishing heavy, dense cover then bend the hook tips out just a bit (ever so slightly) it will improve hookup ratio
@@mattseifert also very good advice.
I'm going to go see if the bass here in California will eat a showerblows today.
They will 😉
@@tacticalbassin they did 👍
How to guarantee a no watch?? Use the word "epic" and long-arm fish..
Dudes, last time I was at Chick, I seen a deer swimming the river to an island…..I heard they have their babies on the island to keep away from predators……??
Predators can swim as well, the likelihood of them going out is smaller I guess. Coming from a person who has seen a coyote swimming in equally as deep water.
