AUCA Mini Marathon

On June 4, 2017, the Adventist University of Central Africa held a Mini Marathon to promote Wholistic Education for Success. Students, faculty, alumni and the community were joined by honored guests Uwacu Julienne, Minister of Sports and Culture and Kaboneka Francis, Minister of Local Government.
After vigorous stretching, runners began the route from the AUCA Gishushu Campus to the Masoro campus at 7:30 a.m. The event was sponsored by Unguka Bank Ltd., Goshen Finance, I&M Bank Limited, Trevo, and ADRA Rwanda. T-shirts were sold and water as well as corn and bananas were provided to runners.
The ministers delivered an encouraging message to the participants and helped to plant a tree on campus to remember the victims of the Genocide.
The event proved to be a great opportunity to bring the community together and recognize the value of “Wholistic Education.”
