Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Stunning video again Starlife!! Never seen such heavy rain in a trains at but it definitely added to the atmosphere of the video!! Good to see so many 465s going strong!! What a brilliant catch of the 2 convoys going side by side!!
Thanks Jacob! I did contemplate halting the video but I was fortunate to still be covered by a canopy so the rain’s effect was limited. The 465s are the mainstay of the Southeastern fleet, it’s great to see so many even if they are common. Glad I caught that double double, especially with 69009 😃👍🏻

Catch them while you can.. I've heard that the GN 387s will eventually cascade to SN and then that *could* push the 465/9s out of SE. Watch this space.

Hi, I Would like to request if you could go to the least used station in the county of Tyne and Wear, Manors (Ecml) Just North of Newcastle station literally a 2 minute train between them!

I think that Southeastern are to retain the Class 465 and Class 466 Networkers for at least another decade before they are replaced by new trains.
As they still are reliable trains. And Southeastern to inherit the last remaining Class 707s from SWR.

I’m sure like you, I’ve spent my fair amount of time in the pouring rain waiting for trains! I was fortunate that the canopy wasn’t that bad of a position to stand in to capture what I needed to. Since the 465/9s were declassified, there seems to be a lot more of these strange 466 combinations - it’s great to see though! 😃

As I have said before, I’d love to. Last time I tried to film at Barking (2021), I was told to leave since it’s not in C2Cs policy to allow trainspotters. If anyone can assist me with this, I would like to retry.

All in a days work Jonathan. You dont get to choose what weather you get but I can absolutely put my all into making the best of the circumstances. There was meant to be Network Rail test train in this video as well.. but it was cancelled!

Thanks TheTrainiac, I dont mind the rain on my person too much, there are ways of not getting completely soaked. However, the camera lens is another story! I think its fair to admit that I cleaned the lens after every clip in this video 😃
@@StarlifeStudios I don’t mind the rain myself, gives some nice shots and stuff, the only thing I worry about with that is my phone getting damaged while recording with it. But other than that, quite nice
I agree, sometimes the rain gives you some sparks too! Damage is a risk with this hobby, all you can do is decide what you think your device can take.

I didnt go to Edinburgh Waverley (not to film anyway!) in 2023 but I plan to hopefully the next time I go to Scotland. I expect this will be 2025 now. Sorry to disappoint you, Scotland is veryyy far from home and requires a lot of planning tigeyy.
Class 465s and 466s are the *BEST*
Unusual to have so many 10-car consists with the 466 in the middle, though!

hi , can you get access to the platforms without paying? Reason is I'm hopefully down that way in the summer and a mate of mine drives the C700 through Dartford so was going to have a quick meet up while he was at the station

At 31:33 906 motor was not working. Is that normal? Or did southeastern just disable it
I didnt notice it at the time! I'm not sure on the specifics of this unit but I filmed it in the other direction at 20:00 as well and had the motors isolated there too. I'm told some of the 465/9s (BREL Motors) are struggling for parts and this one of the reasons SE wants to withdraw all the 465/9s and 466s.
