This has been a very stressful time in my life, I'm 43 with a family, very expensive rent in Southern California and paying my way through college, I have almost zero free time. This is why I have appreciated so much your videos. As I am massively overburdened, it is nice to take a 10-15 minute coffee break between all the things I have to get done between work and school and just have a little relaxing reset. This channel for me, as for so many others, is more than just a TH-cam Channel. It's sort of helping me keep sane! I know I comment all the time but that's a little about me and why I appreciate this channel.
This is my favourite video of yours. It is one of the first I've watched and I simply love how calm these central streets are under the early morning light. It's uplifting!
I have never seen that amount of trash laying around in Japan until now at the beginning of this video. Everything has always been so tidy. I guess all night parties in Tokyo have that leftover though.
Yeah, I was just about to write the same thing. First time I've seen trash on the streets. But you do see people out and sweeping up. You rarely see a broom on the streets of NYC lol.
I'm in New York on business once a month and yes its a filthy place. Even in midtown where the money is located it's still filled with garbage, bums, and the smell of urination to be had everywhere...not to mention the incessant sound of horns blaring from the most impatient drivers.
Most probably because the garbage truck hasn't made its round yet and shops are not yet open since it's early in the morning. They surely can get dirty after a night drinking heh.
Ive lived in manhattan on the upper east side all my life. It is dirty in midtown but if you think midtown is filled with people who actually live in ny then you must not be from ny. It really depends where you are in the city. Up by me things are generally clean and safe. Pretty much everywhere between 59th and 96th on the east side and between 59th and 116th on the west side is overall clean. Dirtier places are midtown, chinatown, some parts of the east village, east harlem, harlem. Basically if you live in a poor or minority area the city gives less of a fuck about your living conditions
The first time I went to Tokyo I took airport bus headed for Shinjuku station. I took off right in shinjuku around 2am and walked to shinjuku east exit, and I could not believe I was in Tokyo when I saw overwhelming trash and homeless people lying next to it...
A City cleaning up after itself. An eye-opening experience. Bet the happiest things there are the crows, all that garbage. Great educational walk. Thanks.
I so love watching these. Shibuya was always one of my favorite places to just walk around. Between Tokyu hands and Don quixote stores, I could always find everything I needed without fail.
Amazing, but I guess this proves we all have trash. Thanks for "keeping it real" and showing a side of Japan that we never see from other videos on TH-cam. As usual your video was excellent. Thanks for sharing with us.
Those garbage bags on the “Center Gai” street come from commercial stores, mostly the food service-related. They are put at every “specified place” after closing, which are supposed to be collected by garbage trucks next morning. I used to work near there Oftenly, the clever Urban Crow Gangs sniff attractive baits to break the bags, resulting in the mess! Or, some individuals would leave trashes around garbage bags, knowing that all of those will be removed together anyway soon.Because of its limited space, using huge garbage containers is not a good idea. Some scattered trash will be removed by employees before opening the stores. And then, a new fresh day will start!!
Hachiko-loyalty and compassion.Shibuya-a place that generates more for younger people. Many familiar eateries are on the move.Loved the artistic akira graphics and the glass display aquarium.🐟🐠!!!
Now that early morning video is the way I remember walking around .Thankyou so much!I enjoy revisiting Tokyo and Subuya though your wonderful videos😊🙈Greetings from Honolulu🌴
04:00 must have been a big party the night before, all that trash in the streets - remembers me just a little to sunday mornings on Hamburgs Reeperbahn ;) Thank You for the video!
Rambalac asusual i give you 5 stars for this interesting video because the night we went on shibuya was so really crowded but full of excitement i didnt know that there is a beautiful or cute flagship store of disney around shibuya and the murals on wall its so cool to see thanks very much again looking forward to see more of your videos
Thank you for the sharing. Although Kyoto's alleys are more pleasant, 涉谷's lanes are exciting . I cannot afford the trip to Tokyo, but your video fulfilled my dreams. I certainly will visit 涉谷 someday. I even noticed a Taiwanese restaurant, 小肥羊. Amazing!
Bonjour Rambalac!
I never remember seeing this much garbage on the street in the four years I lived in Japan and the two years working in Shibuya. This really brings back memories. I miss Japan.
Considering how packed and overrun Shibuya now is in the night time, it’s remarkable how clean it still is. I can’t imagine many locals leaving garbage like this though.
Popular scenario. In contrast to the other video`s.Impossible to have a society here, and it is visible in some of your videos to.There lives solitary people, inside heritated family houses. That is a wierd mystic,a brutal nature force.Unreal to build so much, very talented builders.Insane mystic these beings around in different jobs.
Two surprises here: 1) This is not the tidy, pristinely clean Tokyo we have come to expect from your (and others') videos. 2) Very few remarks about this in the Comments, suggesting that for most of the world there's nothing unusual about it! Thank you for this "alternate" view of Japan that we don't often see.
It is very difficult to see garbage in other cities of Japan, you generally see garbage in times like hanami, halloween party and shibuya as it was shown, this is because times are attracting many foreign tourists, shibuya circulate daily more than 200 thousand foreign tourists, they are not used to taking the trash home like the Japanese do. . . . as I said, it is very rare to see garbage in other Japanese cities.
I believe that this place in Japan must be what I know the most for your videos. You have walked through Shibuya countless times, and I always recognize the streets you have passed!
Wow Rambalac , this brings up memories. Waking up in a Shibuya love hotel very hung over... and seeing the streets in the cruel light of day. These are very ugly streets, that is just my feeling, with not a tree in sight. Thanks again for showing us all sides of Japan.
It's amazing seeing all that trash (and how it will summarily disappear during the day if you've seen Ram's other videos from this area). I wonder how much of it is from tourism? I got a kick out of 39:00. Right across from a 7-Eleven and a Taco Bell. So one could get a Slurpee, a Crunchy Taco Supreme and a sex toy all in one shot. lol
One of the best Shibuya crossing videos I’ve ever seen. Yes!!! AKIRA at 9:40. What is that about? 2019? That was my anime growing up. That and Macross/Robotech series. I know you never talk in your videos but if you could visually show what that’s all about, I’d be very greatful. Thanks.
Hi, you should put a video of you and why you do this etc, where you stay, your life as well...would be interesting to see the man behind the camera.....we enjoy watching all the shops etc although you do walk so fast it's hard to see the shops detail etc and the long walks through the underground tunnels not so much for us....but still interesting...keep it up..!!
I have video recording start time in the description. It's not that great because me personally and other people do not want to see anything distracting unrelated to video. It's easier to add current play time to start time than remove that clock.
Do you ninja walk or hold steadily with both hands your gimbal during all the time of your walks? Or is the beholder ec1 ok without special caution while walking? Thanks!

To the viewers that say they were surprised by the garbage and trash. You have to remember that the train station next to these crosswalks service 2 million people a day and 2,500 people cross at once when the light changes and 45,000 people cross in a half hour! The amount of trash is tiny compared to the amount of people crossing. If 45,000 people in the US crosses in a half hour, you'd be up to your knees in trash!
marimo chan not to mention that it must be really early in the morning and the trash collection service hasn’t run yet. That’s how it always looks that early in the morning. No one is awake to clean up in front of their shops just yet. It quite the party area and I thought it didn’t look bad for a weekend.
This has been a very stressful time in my life, I'm 43 with a family, very expensive rent in Southern California and paying my way through college, I have almost zero free time. We don't have a crystal ball, but two years before. be very patience the worse is yet to come.
This is my favourite video of yours. It is one of the first I've watched and I simply love how calm these central streets are under the early morning light. It's uplifting!
Almost feels like a “behind the scenes” video of the night walks, lol
I have never seen that amount of trash laying around in Japan until now at the beginning of this video. Everything has always been so tidy. I guess all night parties in Tokyo have that leftover though.

早朝の街って良いですよね✨空気も澄んでるし、雰囲気が好きです😊
Morning walks are very refreshing. Please continue and thank you.
I love the Akira mural at 10:04. Nice to see this city is 'real' & not squeaky clean all the time like I thought.

Thank you Rambalac, it's great video again! ☺
Man! all those trash trucks japan sanitation has it under control, they'll have Shibuya nice and clean in no time.
Thumbs up for showing the A.D. 2019 Akira poster Ramblanc.

Thankyou.
Merci
So crazy to see Hachicko without a MILLION people around him.

Always love you video
Hearing crows and seeing trash bags torn open by them always reminds me of Japan.
Awesome stuff, keep up the good work....maybe my wife and I will bump into you when we are there next month!
After much consideration, this is my favorite Rambalac video of all time. It just has everything I love. Thank you sir. And stay dry. :-)
Glad you could get up early to do this, while under the effects of a cold! :' )
So much to explore too little time but thank you rambalac

Love your content, thanks for uploading ❤️
nice ideo, Shibuya is wonderfull. Well done!
See you in a few weeks Shibuya !
This place is fn awesome.
Seems like a lot more graffiti now compared to when I was hanging out in Shibuya back in the 90's.
WOW! Tower Records is still operating in JAPAN? I totally miss that place :( The Akira wall graphics were amazing.
I believe that this place in Japan must be what I know the most for your videos. You have walked through Shibuya countless times, and I always recognize the streets you have passed!
The mic you're using is pretty good. I can just "feel" the sounds on the street listening to it on headphones.
Yeah, current mic is more stereo. Unfortunately it's catching my breath too easily.
Why do some people walk around with a suitcase? Thank you for another awesome video!
Thank you Rambalac, nice video. I mis the crowd.😅
the most beautiful country, love japan from indonesia
Is there a story behind the dog statue at the beginning of the video where people left flowers?
Yes, it's loyal dog Hachiko
Sigrid en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachikō
Oh my, that is a sad story. I can see why Hachiko earned his statue.
Whatever you do, prepare the Kleenex if you see the movie, "Hachi," based on the story of Hachiko.
That was really great! Thank you.
If I had to guess, the unusual amount of trash is because of foreigners visiting for hanami. Japan is usually so much cleaner.
Most of Shibuya visitors are still Japanese.
very beautiful video! i never saw this clearly sibuya morning ,thank you wake up early shoot !ごくろさまでした
this and a treadmill = ultimate cardio
Watching this while playing " Sweet Soul Revue " on loop.
Wow Rambalac , this brings up memories. Waking up in a Shibuya love hotel very hung over... and seeing the streets in the cruel light of day. These are very ugly streets, that is just my feeling, with not a tree in sight. Thanks again for showing us all sides of Japan.

10:02 !! Damn- that’s amazing!
Akira is set in 2019. I'm guessing that building will be finished in 2019 before Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Rambalac San, Arigatto Gosaimasu 💜
aaaannd I watched it all the way to the end.
19:20 love her happy face.
It's amazing seeing all that trash (and how it will summarily disappear during the day if you've seen Ram's other videos from this area). I wonder how much of it is from tourism?

Hi Rambalac your video is awsome

I just hold it in one hand and walk or run normally.
12:10 A wild Gundam SEED Destiny opening theme song appears! :D
26:23 The almost illusive Tokyo homeless. :/ Also, what time was this Rambalac-san?
7am

24:00. At your shadow. Is it a handheld gimbal or the action camera gimbal? Looks like it’s mounted to your head but still guess it’s handheld.
Handheld gimbal.
Rambalac nice. I thought so. Thank you 😊
good job👌👍 😎
Aw, shibuya looks like one of a scene in Crow Zero..
Trash day huh?? Thank again rambalac.. watch out for those crows lol btw you should go HDR in your filming now that TH-cam support it..
Unfortunately my camera can take either HDR or 60p, not both. I decided 60p is more available and important.
shoot i was just wondering what it look like knowing
ух ты Акира на стенах, что это за экспозиция такая 😀
Wow seems a bit dirty.
