Hi Sir, Thank you very much I learned a lot from your videos, As per your earlier videos if we do "git add" we will move the files to the staging area, and if you do git commit we will move the files from the staging area to the local repo, In the branching and merging video you didn't do git push which means the branches are part of the local repo,If so how we will then move to remote repo

Wonder video... Question - why do we need master branch ? When we release, we shall tag in git release summary and then later when incident happens, again we shall create a hot fix branch from release tag.
Hi selva it's very informative and knowledgeable. But in bitbukcet we don't have an option to merge. Can you please explain briefly how to resolve from local to bitbukcet and merging two branches in bitbukcet with conflicts. It's very time consuming to take back up and merging those files
Hii brother I have one doubt namma master ku oru branch create pannum pothu master oda all files um copy aidumma illa master la erukkura files mattum kattuma...pls explain thank you..

Yes, we must restrict not to allow merging for all and also not all branches. there will be settings like merge strategy settings for each branches where you can define the users.
@@SELVATechITOps how to avoid checkout and merging from branch to others. And also please tell how to provide Restriction for branches ( I mean just like user permissions and authorization)

Hi I have a doubt selva, being a Devops engineers what will be our role on Git to work? What all the things we do apart from a developer
As per your diagram, After merging, the master branch has all the different versions?
thank you sir
Wonder video... Question - why do we need master branch ? When we release, we shall tag in git release summary and then later when incident happens, again we shall create a hot fix branch from release tag.
Master branch is the default one where you can keep your stable releases. if you want, you can use it or you can create any other branch.
Hi bro, how publish master branch finally in iis server

Is there any restrictions for merging - to avoid unauthorized merge
