Who actually has this system already? & Who has used or is currently using this system?
I got this system a couple a months ago and I must say they are the best! They seem like they'd be to fragile to stay on but a month later and I am SHOOKETH!! So amazed by this product! I just want to compare with other nail techs using Gel-X on how much is a Gel-X full set priced at?
Xenia Madrid my sister has hyperhidrosis ( extremely sweaty hands) this is the only product I can use for her for that reason. I have used this system for about 6 months and I charge $40 for a simple set ( just polish)

Hello! We recommend to start Gel-X pricing at $65 for a full set (short) with 1 gel color. Price increases incrementally for longer lengths and nail art and design is always extra!

You would use Size 0 which is currently our largest size. If Size 0 still doesn't fit, you can manually flex the Gel-X tip wider.

Hello Apres Nail Official i saw the first extension being done on the Wah London TH-cam page.It looks so light.
Is there anything done to the natural nail itself before you put the pH Bonder? Is the natural nail buffed to take away the natural shine. Like how you would do before any gel or acrylic service?
The prep would be a gel manicure prep!
You do not need to buff away the shine like with gel or acrylic. Gel-X tips are made from soft gel so it will bond with gel polish without roughing up the surface or needing base coat.

Jayleen * yes the can be shaped, like you would do acrylics. You just have to let your nail tech know

Does any one know how I can prevent my nails from bending. I love this nail kit system but I keep having them bend on me. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Help !
Hello ❤️If you are experiencing bending with our tips, I would suggest to use our sculpted line of tips which have a more pronounced c-curve and more strength for longer nails since the apex of the nail is higher. If the bending still occurs, I suggest doing a soft gel overlay on top with the Iconic Gel. Hope this helps! 😊
What type of polish should be used on the tips?
gel polish. or you can apply regular nail polish too
does the Apres nail need to be buffed to remove the shine before gel polish is applied?
I noticed in the video that once the white colored polish was applied, it cut directly to the No Wipe top coat. Was there a curing step omitted? I can't seem to get audio on this video, my volume is up all the way, but it's not putting out anything.
How do you clean your gel brush and keep it in good shape?

Layla Galarza you can always try buffing the number out. That’s what I do or you can polish the nail with colour and you won’t see the numbers.

For temporary extensions these look like the best thing ever :D
Bobbie-Sue Pocock they aren’t temporary, we have been testing these on other nail techs in our salon and they are durable just as strong as sns
Aprés, are you supposed to cure whole hand for 30 secs under lamp after applying the to the full hand? The step is omitted here, but in your demo video at IBD, your rep says to do this. Thank you

How do you encapsulate glitter and flowers using this product?
I saw another video that did it underneath the nail. Not on top. They applied the gel, then glitter, then cured, and then added another layer of gel. The only problem was she did not apply anything around the cuticle. There are TH-cam videos of it. I am no professional but I watch a lot of videos
Is it necessary to use your “apres nails” tips or I can use normal tips for the gel x technique?
This set is special because the tips are made of soft gel. They’ll completely soak off.
I tried them and they fell off in one hour why won’t they stay on?!
I have dry, extremely brittle nails that have broken and chipped after months of gels. Can I still use this while caring for my natural nails? How is this product safe for my natural nails?
Shannon S Aprés Gel-X is a very good product to use while trying to grow out your natural nails! There is very minimal filing/buffing needed on natural nails in order to use Gel-X and that in turns protects your natural nails from unnecessary filing which leads to damage!
Please make the nails in a color similar to Valentino Beauty perfect nude….the only issue I have with them is being clear certain nail polishes aren’t ideal. Other than that they’re amazing!
Y’all say don’t cure after applying each nut y’all show the person curing after each nail in the video @2:31! Which is it??
Hello! We recommend flash curing each individual nail after application and then curing your whole hand in a full size led lamp for the final cure ✨

I’ve been had the gelx nails for about 6 weeks. Only had one fill getting a fresh set on Friday. I love these! I’ve had acrylic, poly gel and gelx. Gelx is by far my favorite. I was worried about the strength at first too. But i can assure you they are very strong. I’m a makeup artist and im pretty hard on my nails. Mine are quite long and I haven’t lost one yet!

You can do fills with Ionic Gel, but we do not recommend doing fills. Gel-X is so fast and easy to apply that it takes longer to do fills than to do a new set each time! Soak off in acetone 15 minutes and do a new set every time.

Hello ❤️ It was a color gel. After applying gel polish, cure under a large led lamp for the final cure.
So idk what am doing wrong? So i follow the instructions and after a few day 1 or 2 nails fall off. i have even taken the time do not be in a rush. could it be maybe that i am using a lamp that has led and uv light on it. Also i saw this video step 6 is confusing because it says to aplly all extension on led lamp the it says do not cure on led lamp. can anyone help
I think they mean that when you’re doing a flash cure on one nail, only put that nail under the lamp, not the other nails. Only after all nails have been individually flash cured do you put the whole hand under the lamp for the full time cure.

I just bought these. They feel, look, and smell just like plastic tips. I'm not sold that these are actually gel. I want proof.
Hello! Please bend and flex them. They do not leave a white crease like plastic tips do. And after bending them, they do not have the same plastic odor as when you bend regular, ABS plastic tips. We hoped this helped!

Yes ...I do and it works fine
Can this product be used on nail biters?
Yes! This system works rather well on small nail beds or nail biter nail beds!
Love the system. I use dip powder and that really works great.

I thought we couldn’t use acetone to clean up the nails. I had heard to use alcohol?
Hello! Either or can do but we do advise using acetone with caution because it can damage the nail if too much is used.
Wow i've missed that the tips are made of gel, sure i didn't read it properly. So the revolution is the tip itself not the gel that is basically a soak off one. Am i right? Thanks
Benedetta Borri the revolution is the marriage of both our custom molded soft gel tips (regular tips are made of ABS plastic) and our Extend Gel!

I’ve tried 3 times but they keep coming off. I place enough gel but when I flash cute and let go, the nail extension pops up and off. What am I doing wrong?
Are you pushing up toward the cuticle while gradually pushing down to get the bubbles out and secure the nail? You also may need a little more adhesive.

Thank you again and you're welcome! I know most of the damage to the nail comes from filing, which is why your system comes out as ideal, I just wondered about the soaking on/off with acetone damage each time. I will research some more and keep an eye out for more videos!
I would say be careful with soaking every time and will depend on the person's nails. I wouldn't want to use this system because of that. I have a hard time even getting gel polish off soak for over an hours and still have to scrap and file to get the last of it off. It has ruined my nails and I look forward to buying an efile to remove gel polish from my nails. I don't have this problem with other people.

Jill Thomas no need! Simply wipe off the surface of the Gel-X tip with acetone and you’re ready to apply your gel polish!
