This massive event, which was also live broadcasted on Radio 538 all through the night (which I recorded from digital satellite on a hifi VHS tape and later transferred to MiniDisc, which I still have and occasionally listen to) marks probably the first time Tiësto played his famous remix of Paul Oakenfold's 'Southern Sun'. I would become *the* track of the year and is still my all-time favourite trance tune ever. I remember the good people at the Tranceaddict forum went completely nuts over it. Fun Fact: Saturday February 2nd, 2002 was also the day Dutch crown prince (now King) Willem-Alexander married his now Queen Maximá. That might very well be the reason why Tiësto opted for an orange shirt that day. The man knows what his native country is!

Nice to hear. When i was 17 Tiesto played his first set at Gatecrasher in Sheffield. Arguably one of the worlds most influential trance clubs. I was there & i can tell you the atmosphere just had a magical feeling that will never be repeated. Clubs were packed full within an hour of opening with 100% die hard trance & progressive fans & the music meant so much more to the people there ;l- ) Amazing amazing memories. The first time Tiesto walked into Gatecrasher his jaw just dropped ;- ) xXxXx
Crazy to see people dancing face to face and enjoying the experience. People now just face the stage and try to record everything to post of social media
That was a time not of sets, but of symphonies, it was not dancing - it was mind blowing unity of body and soul, look at people's faces - they are truly happy... i wish those times came back, we were truly blessed back then ^)

man I grew up with this music, we had rnb, rock and etc back in the day in my country but the first PC my parents bought me had Tiesto classic sets on the hdd, damn....the break beat part of Hidden flight still sounds so ahead if its time and the actual drop of flight 643 has so much energy even listening through youtube, I cannot imagine how it felt if you were actually there.

This for me is the best solo set he has ever done .... I have the set but its such a shame that the whole set as a video isn't uploaded .... As the cameras would have been there all night .... The first hour is really cool .... The last hour is just an absolute Trance assault !!!!! Especially Fearsome Bass into Revelation and then straight into Elements of Life ! Jesus wept must have been an immense night !
