- Assam's Baksa district has many farmers growing kaji nemu along with rice. In August, around 4000 pieces of this variety of lemon reached London. The Lemu is unbeatable! I remember the taste of Lemu on rice as a daily feature. I happened to be in London and managed to buy it at a store and the Price was 2 pieces for a Sterling pound.

i managed to bring back a plant of this from north east Bangladesh, the plant is now thriving in my conservatory in the UK. a couple of fruits and flowers on it!!

This lemon is very common in seemanchal region of Bihar,almost every home in villages has its plant.Its sherbet is very refreshing with very good fragrance.
I grow it in Patna 300 plant. Now strugling to sel in market

It is a citrus fruit indigenous to the state of Assam. And no it's not a hybrid.

How is it different from Gandharaj which Bengalis consume in huge quantities?
It has more refreshing flavour. It is also more juicy. I guess you could call it more citruous or minty flavour. Also much much better while making lemon juice. Probably because of being juicer and minty flavour.
It is much bigger in size and the fragrance is different from gondhoraj. Also, higher juice content

Can I get a plant
You can get a plant but will not grow there. It needs specific climate like that of northeast
This available only in Assam coz I never found this in Maharashtra
