starting it and using it would've been nice to see. you could compare load times on startup and web browsing and maybe some graphic work like photoshop or a video rendering
ive got a late 2014 mac mini and sadly upgrading the back was not an option for me unlike this model shown in the video, you can unscrew the back on previous models and actually upgrade the ram and everything so if your not fussed about having the most up to date software you can still have a pretty powerful machine. I recently got an m3 macbook air and honestly these m chips are something different. i was in two minds on do i even keep this mac now, it has a 1tb hdd with 8gb ram running on the intel i5 processor and not gonna lie even web browsing is a struggle, very slow in comparison. great for data storage but thats pretty much it. i looked at the value and its pretty cheap now. I feel I may just hold onto it being that it was my first mac i ever got. the thing i find weird is that it was running everything sooo good but with software updates and all that over the years this mac has just got slower and slower.
My 2014 Mac Mini was sitting in thethe closet. When I got it out about 2 weeks ago it was running surprisingly fast for what it is….. that is until I updated the OS. It had me update to two different OS’s before it said it was up to date. Now it runs so slow.
Quick question , I’m thinking about buying a Mac mini for checking web apps , testing apps from hybrid technologies and also something that I really need to, use the hardware acceleration for transparent background videos to be used on web , it’s this device still viable for those tasks ?
That is not a Mac Mini 2014… it did not have a screw off bottom (finger indentions). Not sure why you are sharing any content or recommendations when you haven’t used one in todays environment.
