Apep's Lair is in the bright tunnel underground. Since the nail has some weird power of stabilizing its surrounding, Apep lingered beside it in the tornado. Just like how our geo fungus friend lasted for too long in the Chasm.

@Prestige V61 lol thatd be pretty funny. I'm still behind on the story if apep ate him he could very well still be alive inside. But I personally think Murata revival character is a native to natlan.
@@manchild9193 Apep says she consumed him during this quest. That was how he got rid of the forbidden knowledge that tainted him, he sacrificed himself and stored the forbidden knowledge inside apep
