Some viewers thought this performance was lip synced as “the girl” 2:01 did not have her microphone to her month when her singing started. Of course, it was Mitch singing.
There's quite a buzz for our ptx right now. I didn't know they performed here until i read it on CNN! And every critic and comment is accolades. Let's hope this earns them some play on the radio and dare we hope a ticket to the superbowl? Any musical act that can hit it with sports has their career longevity made. Anyone ever find out who let the dogs out? Or that final countdown been counting down since the 80s. Just a couple examples.

They were trending on Twitter, and people were knocking it saying that it wasn't live because Kirstin wasn't signing when the higher part was sung. They were soon knocked down by those in the know. Look at Mitch next time. 🤣🤣🤣 But yes, they were fabulous!
But yet the ones complaining are not the ones up there slaying it. Maybe if the camera had stayed focused on them instead of the crowd, they would have seen how remarkable they are. Always going to be haters.

Yeah, this one is a real doozy! (I'm old too! Lol!🤪😂) What an epic arrangement with vocals to match! This made me weep when I 1st heard/watched this, & every single time I see & hear it , the tears just get me over & over. To begin with, just the breathtaking beauty of Ptx' talent reduces me to tears, and add to that my hubby is a disabled veteran, very emotional over our National Anthym, so I just can't handle the beauty & very special meaning of the words. Mitch and Kristen were amazing, Scott as usual held everything steady and Kevin, I thought some where he would make the crashing of the cymbals noise, but to get true 5 part harmonies I'll let that go. Matt was all alone with the bass but did what needed doing. I'll admit I was crying before halfway through, but then our National Anthem always does that to me. I think our Anthem is one of the best musical pieces ever written. Name another anthem that is, on one hand, the hardest to sing well, and two compels you to try.
The French Anthem, "La Marseillaise," is gorgeous too! (Don't translate the words, they're beyond aggressively patriotic, but then, the second stanza of the Star Spangled Banner will probably disturb your sleep, too.)

Wow. As usual, goose-bumps, mouth hanging open, tears in eyes, blown away reaction to another Pentatonix upgrade! Scott, great arrangement. Way to enhance each voice without losing the wall of sound PTX is known for. And Mitch, as expected, absolutely took it away with his 200% vocal commitment, astounding and moving us. I hope he could hear this huge crowd reacting to his once-in-a-lifetime voice when he started singing. His solo was magical. He has me in awe every single time he solos…well all the time he sings. I am his #1 fan. I love, love, love him! I’ve already watched this 6 times in a row, and I’m not done yet!
Hello D. Indeed that was beautifully done by PTX. They looked wonderful and they sounded fantastic. Mitch on his verse was so strong and clear, with gentle runs and then dipping into his lower register before going on to hit that high note on "wave". Signature PTX sounds, harmonies, layering and stacking of vocals. Fantastic.
Myself and my two brothers have sung the national anthem for the Cincinnati Reds 3x’s and the Cincinnati Cyclones 2x’s!! It’s very nerve racking but so cool!
Their best rendition of this. It's not their first time singing the anthem at an event. However, they've had some real disasters before (can we say Kentucky Derby mic screw up). This definitely make up for it with this one.
This was great. They performed it perfectly with all the respect that it's due. The red, white and blue was a very nice touch. Too bad, they didn't give Texas any good luck. It was a horrible blow out. 65 to nothing. They posted a selfie right before the performance. They looked so happy and proud.

Home Free is a wonderful group and I would also like to see them perform. I personally prefer Pentatonix as a group but I have like several Home Free songs.

Homefree is very vanilla and that is how they sing the anthem. Just a matter of personal preference which you are entitled to have.
