What she says about Shakespeare is exactly what my English literature said to me and my colleagues: Shakespeare is a man for all seasons, centuries and years because we as humans, do not change.
Glenda is right. Thatcher said: "There's no such thing as society" in 'Women's Own' magazine, 31 October 1987. Glenda Jackson: great actress, whose fundamental integrity made every part real. And when Glenda left Parliament for the last time, reality left with her.
Glenda Jackson has danced on, and commanded, two public stages in her life - acting and politics. Those two mistresses rely on artifice and truth. I know little of her private life, but artifice and truth appear central to her public and her private life also. Quite an achievement. She appears to be a woman utterly without vanity, ego, or design. A great actress. A good politician. I have always wanted to know her better. It would be wonderful to read her biography - if ever she would write it herself, which I doubt, or by someone with an inside track to her quality. It would be a bloody good read.
‘FORTNUM & MASON’ should send Glenda Jackson The Most Wonderful extra~Large Wicker Basket full of Splendid GOODIES ;] She Deserves it!! She is Absolutely MARVELLOUS!! ;]
So interesting, such an amazing actress, a dedicated politician, a principled person. I hope some writer writes her story. She went/died as said in "Fried Green Tomatoes" " A Lady Always Knows when it is Time To Leave." With Dignity. Glenda you left an amazing legacy in the body of work You will be missed. R.I.P.
A huge actress, a wonderful woman, and a true citizen. Respect 🙏🏻♥️🙏🏽♥️🙏

RIP…One of the greatest actresses of her generation…indomitable , principled , magnificently talented.
I absolutely adore her! She died completely alert and oriented, active and as sharp as she always was. RIP genius

Every week. Good idea.
What an artist. Love the description of Lawrence, not unlike Virginia Woolf
Grande attrice!
Can't hear some of the audience questions, but thanks for the great interview.
