Ive had the same pallet of sennelier paints (pans not tubes) for 30+years. They are all fine still. Obviously ive replaced favorite colors as they've been used up. But like anyone, i've impulse bought colors i don't use often and have a few as old as my pallet. They still rewet and haven't spoiled in any way. I love them. I think they are more luminous and transparent and layer better than the daniel smith which i value more for granulation and also love. Anyway. Since you expressed thoughts on the honey and longevity i thought id comment on my personal experience with mine although i usually buy pans rather than tubes.😁 nice water study! 😎
Im sure a bunch of people would appreciate hearing your experience especially because you have used them for a while.. I am really impressed with them and after hearing how well they do for you, I appreciate them even more. Im going to pin your comment for future watchers. Thanks so much 😃 Have a great day!
I love sennelier watercolors I bought a test set of them to start with and for they were great and then I bought some sennelier half pans and I love them and see the difference in my paintings now as before I didn't think my paintings look good until I got them
I agree they are so so nice to work with! I am definitely noticing a difference in my work too. Its like they are so much richer in pigment then other brands ...
Nice color studies. Those watercolors look really cool 😎. It can be very tricky to work with hot pressed paper since it doesn’t have any texture so the pigment of the paint won’t spread as much. Maybe try more studies with the paper; trial and error. Love your video by the way. ❤️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽😊
Thank you! Great points! I usually always swatch with the hot press paper and this paper in the sketchbook does have a bit more texture. I will definitely have to do some more experiments with it 🖤 Thanks for watching!
I agree! I wanted to buy them for a couple years and finally took the plunge 😂 definitely worth the money in my opinion, I can’t wait to use them again 😊 Thanks for watching!
I enjoy these paints as well. I have found that the experience with water color on hot press paper isn't for me. I find hot press better with gouache. These paints truly are beautiful. Thank you for your nice video. Karen from Canada
I do love my Sennelier paints and am constantly struggling against the desire to buy new colours I don't need. To give you a small warning about the honey though, it does attract insects. While I've only witnessed it once on my mixing palette other people have also reported it, so if you're going to be painting somewhere hot or in the wild I would suggest you make sure to keep your palette closed so that no ants can pass through. It's not a sweet, powerful beacon for hungry insects either, but it's a thing you should be made aware of :)
Okay does anyone else’s Sennelier paint smell like mint???? I just got my first tube of Sennelier ever (Turquoise Green) in the mail today. And when I opened it I immediately detected a slight smell of mint. I thought I was going crazy lol. I smelled the paint closer to my nose and the mint smell was very faint. I ignored it and closed the tube. I opened the tube to paint a swatch a little bit later and sure enough, the mint smell was there again and this time I was for sure there was a smell. Anyone else notice this?? How strange. Like, is it just this color? I googled this and couldn’t find anything. I am so intrigued to figure this out 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 I just went and smelled mine.... I personally don’t smell anything, but I also do not have that color! This is very interesting though... I wonder if its from the honey preservative 🤔

Hi great. Thank you. I think sennelier layers well. How do you do those white streaks/lines?
Hi there! I believe I used the copic white ink for this spread 🙃
My husband gave me the 100 tube Sennelier case a few Christmases ago. I think they are gorgeous.
What a lovely gift!! Do you have a favorite colors in the blue or green range? Id live to add a couple colors to my set and I prefer cool colors

@@KelliPaints I know, I want more of them but I can’t justify the purchase until next year.
Have you ever tried these paints? Let me know 👇
I have them. I really like them for layering and for delicate botanical work.
@@dees3179 I definitely agree :)

Oh wow! Good to know. I could definitely see that happening 🙃 Thanks so much for the heads up!
Left a LIKE 😁👍
Thanks so much!
What a pity you glaze the bottom centre painting. It looked like such a great snowscape but this is a great demonstration!
