When I was getting into AA!, I got pulled over on my way home from school for speeding, and once I started driving away with only a warning, this song came on and it couldn't have been more appropriate for the situation
I love how they are able show their diversity in music styling it just proves how good they have become and all of the hardship this band has been put through props guys all respect from me
I really don't understand why all of you are complaining (you know who you are, shut the fuck up.) I think this is a great song and they got much better after Austin left. He's doing just fine in OMaM.
I love how the intro goes into the more catchy song, then ends on an epic breakdown solo ending, Attack Attack! never fail to add originality in their own little way, I'm glad this re-release had some more originality!
Everyone keeps complaining about how this cd is not like their old stuff....well who wants to listen to the same thing over and over?! I love Attack Attack bc of their ability to be versitile! You never know what to expect with them...which is amazing & shows their artistic abilities....
@HollowEyesxx No, it's Caleb Shomo. He started on keys, and went to screams when Austin was ousted, and then did all vocals when Johnny left. His screams sound different because he worked with Melissa Cross to develop a healthy screaming style.
people need to understand that bands are bound to change over time. if you dont like it move on dont be a hater. listen to the old albums or find someone new. attack attack is gonna change whether you like it or not. Branching out causes them to earn a bigger fan base so stop hate and enjoy the music!
what makes a band interesting is having originality-- their voices are original with their own sound and feel. if all they did was scream the whole time in every song.... they would be just like most metalcore bands... i personally love their singing voices and screams. it's called being a true fan, not one who thinks all a band should do is scream.
People, I must alert you. I am a big Attack Attack! fan. On February 10th, I went to their one of their shows for their This Is War tour. It was amazing. It was so amazing, in fact, that i ruptured both of my ear drums. Thats how good they are.
u have the.. balls to thou wall chug songs.. the calm but catchy songs... then the general AA! sound we admired. this album was truly awesome. not every song in the same tuning. not just chugging. not over using of auto tune or studio drums.
The band has announced that they are set to re-issue their self-titled album on July 19, 2011 with four new songs, two acoustic songs, and two remixes. A new track entitled "Last Breath" was released on June 7, 2011, to promote the album's re-issue. It is the first song by the band to feature Caleb Shomo on both clean and screamed vocals, and was produced by John Feldmann. The band's third album is set to follow sometime in 2012.[20] CALEB did the clean vocals .
THEY'RE NOT CHANGING THEIR STYLE! You guys have to relax, seriously. This is not a new direction for the band, just a fun experimentation. Honestly, do u think they'd ever abandon what got them so famous? The dubstep remixes, this atreyu-esque song, and the poppy "All Alone" are just fun songs for the fans to enjoy. Relax. I personally am impressed AA was actually able to pull this off so well. Chill.
I am glad they're straying from auto-tune. It was old before it started. I hope they can keep the heavy aspect though, but can maintain it through these really good sounding vocals and chorus'.
I'd like to see a video page without a ton of people arguing on it. Guys every band tries to branch out a little. If you like a band you love some (if not most) of their songs and when they make something you aren't crazy about you at least respect that they took the time to make it and put it out for those who like the style. It's still Attack attack! ever since the start, they're just doing what they love for all of us to hear.
I like this. I mean sure I really miss their old sound, it was the band that I grew to love, but at the same time they all change & so does their music. Love them no matter what; ♥
i love attack attack and most likely always will. So this song is a bit different than their other stuff? Guess what! They lost johnny! So now caleb is singing. Different people have different strengths vocally meaning they do what they sound best at. Personally i love Caleb's scream. I give him props for going from keys/synth to lead vocals, and succeeding. Their latest stuff is way more polished than someday came suddenly. also "I swear ill change" kind of foreshadowing isnt it?
this is....deifferent. i love that there experimenting but i liked the heaviness of this band. either if they stay like this or go back....ill stick by them. this band changed my life and introduced me to one of the best genres ever. long live AA!
@Dalesabadass Just because it's drop tuned doesn't mean it's heavier, it's just something to make it sound heavy, I mean they can still be really heavy on the new release if they were in standard tuning.
@IvoryThePantless Yes it was, but AC-130 was recorded in Drop G, it's played in Drop A live considering they needed thicker strings to go down to G in recording. They want to get new guitars to go down to Drop F# for their next album, if it sounds bad, they will settle for Drop G, although im sure with good equipment Drop F# is a good possibility, they want something extremely heavy for their next release
This is why Attack Attack! is one of my favorite bands. You never expect what's next. They are the most experimental bands out there, and even though this isn't typical post-hardcore (if this can even be called that), they perfect whatever they try. This is more of a rock feel, as opposed to metal. They always have been and hopefully always will be an experimental band, and this is a genre they haven't explored yet. It's fucking awesome! ATTACK ATTACK! WHERE YOU AT?!
i loved some day came suddenly i loved self titled album and i love the new releases, see a pattern i love attack attack and probably will listen to their music forever(hope heaven allows ipods)
I can't believe this is Attack Attack!, it's hard to believe, I mean it sounds like it should be on the radio, which is may be actually. Hope it gets there.
so i saw someone post sounds mainstream? ummm this sounds way better than mainstream and definitely isn't that. Attack Attack finally seems to have finally found their sound and I am very happy for them.
I love how everyone is saying that Attack Attack! 'sucks now' and has 'sold out'. If you don't like the songs with just clean vocals, go listen to Pick A Side. They have songs to fit pretty much everyone's taste.
@PatrickJacobsen1 And no, they did not have an original sound for their first album. It could've been found in most other bands of the same genre at the time.
Like everyone else said, to whoever's wondering, Caleb took over clean vocals because Johnny Franck left to follow his "path towards god." Still think Caleb is the shit, they still sound so good Can't wait for their new album, wonder if they'll get a new clean vocalist because they got Sean from my ticket home covering clean vocals on their recent tours
@thaocgurlie no because when johnny quit, they had to find another singer, wich they found one that sounds like 3 days grace... they had to change the whole band when he left, but idk why they stopped screaming...
@Nicholaskins well technically people would listen to a band because of that unique style they have and that's why they like them and when they change the band just isn't the same anymore.
@tiff10122 yeah...what are you talking about? this is caleb singing and screaming. old vocalists include johnny franck and austin carlile...caleb hasn't gone anywhere.
In an interview the band said they recorded both All Alone and Criminal in 2 days while they were on tour or something to that nature. I don't think this is the direction they are going. I think it was more of a for fun thing. I also don't like it AT ALL, but seeing that their vox are getting pretty tight, I think we all have a lot to look forward to for their next full-length. Hopefully they don't stick to this and keep semi to the roots. I personally believe this was only an experiment.
@crhuble i agree with you dude, like The Crimson Armada went from technical deathcore with screams in an impossible range...now its mainly mids and lighter metal core (except a few songs) now its like its not even tca...
@Nicholaskins this sounds like a completely different band though and like I said, people are fans of a band because they like the sound and this song for instance probably isn't the sound majority of attack attack! fans like.
i still love attack attack and their music. being able to change their sound in so many ways and make it sound good shows just how musically talented they are. thats just my opinion though...and everyone has their own
every one need to stop hating on this they are just showing a different side of them and i love it and guess what i also love there old stuff u can like both its not like u can only like hard music or soft music
If this eventually becomes Attack Attack!'s mainstream sound, and they get major radio play, I will be perfectly content. :) The new material is very well written, catchy, and just overall great.
i think we should all shut up and wait for their next album to see what they really want to do. don't expect a band to reach its full potential after an album or two because it really doesnt happen. what i really enjoy about AA! is their variety of music that they have made. they are giving us tastes of several genres and yes some of them are not the best (im not a huge fan of this song myself) but why can't we stop dissing every damn band for their flaws and just please enjoy the music.
@bangnj I don't think AA! is selling out. It just seems like Caleb us completely changing their sound. I listen to AA! because of the way the perfectly blended the screaming, techno, autotune, and amazing breakdowns. The sound they had is one that doesn't really get old, at least not to me. Especially the tecno aspect, which has endless possibilities.
@XJacobGenocideX Well Caleb actually produced 2 of the songs. and John Feldman the other too. Im pretty sure Caleb did Criminal and Pick-A-Side, but yeah idk dude im just repeating what Andrew Wetzel the drumm says on twitter and formspring.
It is so....different, but i can't hate at all because honestly, its great, just different. I want some more screams back, but the style, i like honestly. Other things just got so similar in so many ways, bands need to experiment more.
and yes, there is absolutely a problem with a band going mainstream. mainstream has a set of "unspoken" requirements for you to get big: NO screams, NO individuality, NO "scary" sounds, and LOTS of repeating yourself. I've seen it happen to too many great bands. Atreyu, Bullet, and ADTR to name a few have all lost their luster. I'm not saying AA! has completely tried to go mainstream, but judging by this song, they're definitely headed that way.
@theBomBdotV2 I think the phrase is pretty contextual. They didn't sell out comparatively to another album, but they sold out in terms of conforming to what the "scene" was putting out at the time to get labels attention. No need to get hostile, man.
@TheSuttonwilson you could use a period every once in a while. I'm not even trying to be a grammar police, I just had to re read what you wrote about five times to understand.
@MusicForever735 no. they didn't have to find a new singer. their screamer (Caleb) took the lead and now does cleans and screams. his cleans are good, but of course, he's no Johnny. and they didn't have to change the whole band when he left. this is a re-release album with Caleb singing new songs, and dubstep remixes. listen to pick a side. still heavy and screaming.
Back here because Beartooth just dropped a new single and it reminded me of this
Underrated song! I still love it till this day.
gimme the song title plz
When I was getting into AA!, I got pulled over on my way home from school for speeding, and once I started driving away with only a warning, this song came on and it couldn't have been more appropriate for the situation
And why didn't Caleb sing from the beginning?
This was and still is a fuckin banger. I love the catchy ass chorus with those heavy riffs
I adore Caleb's voice! His screams are so freakin raw sounding its boss! And his cleans are SO much better then the old guys were
I love how they are able show their diversity in music styling it just proves how good they have become and all of the hardship this band has been put through props guys all respect from me
I really don't understand why all of you are complaining (you know who you are, shut the fuck up.) I think this is a great song and they got much better after Austin left. He's doing just fine in OMaM.
+Absolute_Zero310 this is a great song ans hes doing plenty fine
I'm complaining because attack attack os better than bear tooth. I said what I said.
I love how the intro goes into the more catchy song, then ends on an epic breakdown solo ending, Attack Attack! never fail to add originality in their own little way, I'm glad this re-release had some more originality!
Auto-tune is what made the sound perfect. It fit greatly with the techno, and yeah, it might not be skillful. But it sounded great
Everyone keeps complaining about how this cd is not like their old stuff....well who wants to listen to the same thing over and over?! I love Attack Attack bc of their ability to be versitile! You never know what to expect with them...which is amazing & shows their artistic abilities....

Not their biggest fan, love beartooth tho and some of their songs, but damn this one is so fucking good
theese guys change there sound everytime a new cd comes out and it always sounds good no matter what love attack attack!!!
People, I must alert you. I am a big Attack Attack! fan. On February 10th, I went to their one of their shows for their This Is War tour. It was amazing. It was so amazing, in fact, that i ruptured both of my ear drums. Thats how good they are.
Attack Attack! shows musical quality, I will ALWAYS love them. From "If Guns Are Outlawed, Can We Use Swords Instead?" till they quit!
u have the.. balls to thou wall chug songs.. the calm but catchy songs... then the general AA! sound we admired. this album was truly awesome. not every song in the same tuning. not just chugging. not over using of auto tune or studio drums.

its kinda criminal how underrated this song is even all these years later. this couldve been a beartooth song given the right time and place lmfao
True AA! fans will always love them from Someday Came Suddenly, to every new album they put out. AA! FOREVER
I like this. I mean sure I really miss their old sound, it was the band that I grew to love, but at the same time they all change & so does their music. Love them no matter what; ♥

DAMN i love this :O i like all their different sounds but the beginning of this was just like... :O
if you got to see them live you'd realize how good his screams really are
seriously sounds like the classic crimes vocalist! its crazy! seriously listen to both of them almost the same!
i like Calebs cleans, his style reminds me of D.R.U.G.S
I love how everyone is saying that Attack Attack! 'sucks now' and has 'sold out'. If you don't like the songs with just clean vocals, go listen to Pick A Side. They have songs to fit pretty much everyone's taste.

If a band that incorporates screams were ever to get played on the radio, it would be these guys.
loving the bass, delgado
So much better than all the screaming stuff. I think I would also enjoy them as a rockband.
@InAWorldOfLies Not to mention Caleb actually tweeted that these were experimentations and for fans not to worry.
The first 3 Seconds... Chills down my spine.
Whoah the clean lyrics are actually very good! :)
Possibly the best song by Attack Attack! I have ever heard! :)
@AntiLuck333 isn't a new album...Is a deluxe reissue
Includes 4 new tracks
2 new remixes
2 acoustic tracks
In an interview the band said they recorded both All Alone and Criminal in 2 days while they were on tour or something to that nature. I don't think this is the direction they are going. This is my favorite song they have ever released!
This is probably one of my favorite songs now (:
@UnicornMan94 For a screaming band that did a song with no screaming, they did pretty fantastic. Plus, Caleb is awesome at screaming and cleans now.
Another point for ATTACK ATTACK! they have proved that they can definately do anything they set there minds too.
never heard em before, but pretty damn good.any songs like this?
@crhuble i agree with you dude, like The Crimson Armada went from technical deathcore with screams in an impossible range...now its mainly mids and lighter metal core (except a few songs) now its like its not even tca...
I love this Song and the reissue, I got it at warped and met attack attack there super nice got my cd signed.
@Pacmansundea I agree and I am sad... Maybe RISE Records forced them to make this because the Word Alive also came out with a reissue pretty recently.
Everyone says all Rise Records bands sound the same. This proves you wrong
you can say you hate this new stuff but the bass is still just as good as the old stuff :)
@Nicholaskins this sounds like a completely different band though and like I said, people are fans of a band because they like the sound and this song for instance probably isn't the sound majority of attack attack! fans like.
i still love attack attack and their music. being able to change their sound in so many ways and make it sound good shows just how musically talented they are. thats just my opinion though...and everyone has their own
real Attack Attack! fans would accept the change and hope for the best
every one need to stop hating on this they are just showing a different side of them and i love it and guess what i also love there old stuff u can like both its not like u can only like hard music or soft music
Underrated song & Riffs 🤘

@simorgh811 the scream is the new vocalist haha, he does both cleans and screams.
@Sonofgmx Austin left this band a long time ago. That's Caleb Shomo.
@Dalesabadass wasnt their self titled album in drop b? im pretty sure... other than A for andrew i think?
@crhuble Don't worry. Wetzel said that the next album will be a lot heavier. This was just them experimenting with stuff :)
@bangnj
I don't think AA! is selling out. It just seems like Caleb us completely changing their sound. @Herestodinner this guitar are not "so heavy" they are kinda heavy... and the screams and cleans at least for me are the best thing about this band.
@XJacobGenocideX Well Caleb actually produced 2 of the songs. and John Feldman the other too. Im pretty sure Caleb did Criminal and Pick-A-Side, but yeah idk dude im just repeating what Andrew Wetzel the drumm says on twitter and formspring.
woah, attack attack leveled up. this stuff is sick
I don't know uh what you are listening to but I kinda dig this style of Attack Attack! maybe i'm just not as hardcore as most people though.
It is so....different, but i can't hate at all because honestly, its great, just different. I want some more screams back, but the style, i like honestly. Other things just got so similar in so many ways, bands need to experiment more.
BearAttack yo.

I LOVE THIS SONG, LEAVE ATTACK ATTACK, there working their hardest. i love it
@theBomBdotV2 I think the phrase is pretty contextual. They didn't sell out comparatively to another album, but they sold out in terms of conforming to what the "scene" was putting out at the time to get labels attention.
No need to get hostile, man.
I still love Attack Attack! no matter what.
@TheSuttonwilson you could use a period every once in a while. I'm not even trying to be a grammar police, I just had to re read what you wrote about five times to understand.
this is one of the best attack attack! song ever!
@N1NJABUNNYS you mean of mice and men just sounds like old attack attack... AA was formed before OM&M
@jboxproductions finally someone who isnt complaining
@BweVri Me too!!! I used to hate them sooo much. I love their new stuff so much!
One thing's for certain: you can't complain about them being generic anymore.
every time i listen to this i love it more and more. at times caleb sounds like adam gontier (3DG) but its still AA
someday came suddenly reissue with calebs screams would of been AMAZING they shouldve done that
