    I would love for you to make some more videos with the head cam view!! I put this on my big screen tv in front of my concept2, turn off the lights and away I go!! My favorite video by far!! Thanks.

    Just you and the birds on that water, that's pretty special. 👌

    That was brilliant, really enjoyed it. Thank you. It was nice to be in the boat with you with my waterrower providing the sound effects. I’ve done many ‘rowalongs’ but this puts a different perspective on it and I’ll come back to it again and again, it didn’t feel like 30 minutes. I’ll be 70 this year and often make up interval rows for myself, as taking breaks allows me to go longer, so all I can say is I wish this was longer. I did the entire 30, and gave myself a thumbs up, then you gave me one too, very cool. 👍

      That's awesome! Glad you liked it! I think I'll have to take an extra battery out for the 60 minute edition!

    It’s been a cracking weekend for rowing. Out in the quad on the Severn at Stourport. I wish I could get my finish/tap out as clean as yours 🥴
    Here’s to the season ahead and the boat race next weekend 😎

    This one is one of my favorites. Good matching steady pace @20SPM with a couple on needed breaks at the right time.

    Love it! I row with Grosvenor on the Dee in Chester, lovely river, we are very lucky. Those conditions are most welcome!

    Super cool, really enjoyed using that to do my slog on the concept 2, made me try to pass over the line a few meters ahead of you. Think I am going to use this more often in the future. Awesome water in the video 👍👌

    You make this look very easy, and the boat looks so balanced! I was out yesterday in a quad doing some high rate power strokes, for the first time. If I’d been in a double I’m certain there would have been 5 people having a swim….. I will be in a fine boat by 2024! 🤣🤣

      It's the camera stabilisation! 😂

      A double is better to row in once you get the chance you get more satisfaction and you can feel the power of your stroke it’s the same in a single with boats like double and single best you start of slow then go faster well put more power in your stroke I mean 🙃

    Hello again Cameron. As a new subscriber I’ve been prowling your site a bit and have found another 30 minute video of you on the water, which I’ll do this afternoon. AND, I just discovered that there is a loop feature for TH-cam videos, at least on the iPad, so the video being ‘not long enough’ isn’t a problem after all. Cheers, and all the best for the upcoming season.

    We need the 6.30 2k erg row along!

    Awesome video Cam, thank you. I just tried following your rhythm and my split came down by 3 seconds! Can we have some more of these? Maybe at different rates.

    • @CameronBuchan
      @CameronBuchan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome! Glad to hear it. I have quite a few on the channel already in the "row along" playlist. Some on the erg, some not! But mostly lower rates

    Looking really awesome on the single these days Cam. You’ve come a long way and it’s been so cool to watch your progress. For a training session like this, what kind of press do you feel like you’re laying down? Do you find the single significantly easier to balance at higher boat speeds? I only row fours and eights so the feel of a single is foreign to me

    • @CameronBuchan
      @CameronBuchan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's been a fun journey!
      Press in the session, pretty easy. But I have been trying to change the technique slightly which feels as if I'm pressing harder but the overall stroke is easier. Not she if that makes sense!
      Definitely feels more balance at higher speeds. It is easier and harder to balance vs a four or eight

    What a beautiful row cutting glass. Thx for sharing. I wonder what your cruising speed is?

      On a flat day like that anything from 2 to 230/500

    So the cam is on your chest, right? Or not - but if your head, I would have expected you to look behind more often?

    I'm 14 and just hit a PB of 7:04 for a 2k erg at a 30 stroke rate. any tips on finally breaking 7 before the end of my freshman year of highschool?

    • @jackysanc7445
      @jackysanc7445 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Just train as often as you can with sufficient rest. The 2k time will handle itself. What I did was lots of longer ergs (30mins, 2x25mins) but at a relatively high intensity. Just let the process carry you.

    • @creepysherpa7481

      Lightweight has already been removed from youth rowing. It’s only a matter of time before collegiate rowing drops it too.
