This used to be my favorite story. I used to love to listen and sing the songs word for word. I never thought I would hear it again. Thanks for the memories.

I know that voice of narrator in Mickey and the Beanstalk: Robie Lester (voice of Jessica (Mrs. Santa Claus)) in Santa claus Is Comin' to Town (1970).

Fun and Fancy Free (1947) Voice Cast:
Walt Disney (Last voice of Mickey Mouse before retirement),
James MacDonald's Mickey Sneeze effects .... Mickey Mouse
    Pinto Colvig ... Goofy
Clarence "Ducky" Nash .... Donald Duck
Billy Gilbert ... Willie the Giant

Bradley Cotton Yep! The narrator was Robie Lester.

Robie Lester also did the singing for Eva Gabor in “The Aristocats” and her spoken lines on the storyteller record too. The original voice for the Golden Harp in Mickey and the Beanstalk was Anita Gordon, from the film “Fun and Fancy Free” (1947).

Robie Lester did the narration for this album, and the vocals for the Singing Harp were by studio cast singer Marilyn Hooven. An earlier recorded version on 78 rpm featured Martha Tilton in the songs sung by the harp. The actual filmed segment, from 1947 in “Fun and Fancy Free” had Anita Gordon supplying her voice and singing for the harp. Gordon many years later was heard dubbing for Pamela Tiffin in the 1962 remake of “State Fair” with vocals including “It Might as Well Be Spring”. On the vinyl album of “Mickey and the Beanstalk” we are listening to here, all three original film voices of Jimmy Mac Donald, Clarence Nash and Pinto Colvig were reunited as the main characters Mickey, Donald and Goofy. Mac Donald also did Willie the Giant on this record, but as someone else mentioned the soundtrack bits of the sneezes were by Billy Gilbert (Sneezy in “Snow White”) who did the giant in the original film.

Honestly, looking back now I can _totally_ understand how & why! These Disney 'audio theatre' albums are outstanmding & in a league of their very own. The amazing music paired with fantastic narration, it _really_ works! They certainly got our little imaginations running at _full_ speed without any brakes!
