4-20-20 UPDATE: Currently this program and method of use still functions properly with a Thrustmaster TMX Force Feedback w/ T3PA-Pro Add-On pedals and a Saitek Side Panel. I tested version 3.2.10.82 of x360ce with a Logitech G29 with frustrating results. The wheel functioned in game with the exception of the "centering spring." When setting up the wheel in the program everything operated normally, but once FiveM is launched the motors in the wheel essentially turned off. You can see in my video that it previously worked very well with the G29, so I am unsure why it's not working properly now or what the solution is. I do however have some ideas: A) Something with Logitech's new GHub software does not properly read x360ce and/or FiveM. I can imagine shutting the wheel off is like a safety protocol for when the game parameters are unknown. Perhaps using an older version of Logitech's software will stop this? 2) Something with FiveM stops the game from recognizing the .ini or .dll that is created specifically for Logitech wheels. Possibly visiting their forums to see what they can do to help is in order? C) Something with x360ce version 3.2.10.82 is not working for Logitech wheels. You could try an older version of x360ce, or test out the Alpha version 4? (Just remember that version 4 operates differently overall and the final steps from my video will not work. Instead of moving files, you have to keep the program running in the background). If you have any further questions we can TRY to find a solution here, but I want to point out that I'm not an expert in this matter so my comment thread is not an end all be all. @Zordaxovo Vids Sorry for the late response! I currently do not have any experience with hotas or flight stick controllers and x360ce. You can check out their website and forums for possible solutions. The program I showed in this video might work for you, but I don't know for certain.
I've tried this multiple times and I never get any prompt to search for settings on the internet. I do get some buttons that light up when I press the gas pedal or brake but then, in the game, nothing works. Frustrating. In the setup, I can't get many of the buttons to respond to anything I set them to. I'll have to retry this again.
Sorry to hear you're having trouble (also sorry for the late reply), it's been a while since I have attempted to re-setup everything. Hopefully one of these upcoming weekends I will have enough time to double check different things. What version of the software are you running and what wheel/pedals are you trying to use?

Hello, Mine doesn't work for some reason? I had it setup for atleast 2 years then it just stopped working Im using the version 3 im gonna try version 4 as i speak
Mine did the same thing... something with the new FiveM update made version 3 inoperable. I did try version 4 and that seems to work. For version 4 all you have to do is keep x36ce running while you play.
Based on the comments here as well as any DMs I have received, other people are having an issue with the g920/29. My assumption as of right now is that it's an issue with the Logitech drivers switching "off" in a way because it doesn't recognize the game. I can't be certain, but that's what my guess is. I just checked this over the weekend, the combine controllers checkbox is there. I still had issues getting version 4 to map buttons on my Saitek Sidepanel though...
As far as I have noticed, v4 more or less automatically combines controllers. I did have issues with my controller setup so it's a bit of trial and error unfortunately.
Original Video Maker Here. You go into a lot better depth for the people who are unfamiliar with X360CE. And cover most of it! I can clarify A few things for you guys Though! Xbox controller - if you want to have both this plugin and the controller, You MUST program it in the software. The game will only load one plugin and if the controller isn't Initialized, it will not work. 32 Bit - Is used for older games that are not on 64-bit Architecture. Same with the different versions of xinput. Loading the installer in the Bin folder - The program does actually initialize, but it uses the first available xinput to do so, indicated in the bottom right. (Microsoft one) Without the modded DLL, it cannot make changes. If you remove the original Microsoft xinput1_3.dll, it will work for editing. But should you uninstall X360CE, your original controllers won't work either. Force Feedback - I haven't really figured out how to make it work, however, you have to remember it is the controller force-feedback, so for EX. Vibration on explosions or crashes. It cannot give you road feedback like racing games do, (if you do want that, and you play singleplayer or your server supports client scripts(trainers for ex) Lookup Manual Transmissions by IKT.) Also your right, GTAV decreases Sensitivity as you go faster to account for the limited XBOX 360 Joystick. You have convinced me to play with my dead zones a bit more though, would like to get a little smoother and maybe some more degrees out of my Setup! Awesome video! -Olivia-282
It worked like a charm! After reading some post i might be lucky, the only issue is that force feedback is not working, what i meant is not even self centering, and becomes difficult to drive since you have to center the wheel each turn and if you go past center will turn the other way and drive like a snake on the road, but if from the Logitech G hub move the operating range you'll feel the motor stooping you to the selected range, any recommendations to have self centering on, thanks! I'm glad it worked for the most part. Sadly as I have posted in the recent past... I still couldn't find a solution. It seems something just drops out once FiveM is launched. Since x360ce just creates some extra files I'm guessing that there is miscommunication between those and FiveM, or between FiveM and Logitech GHub. I'm leaning toward the latter, but I'm not smart enough to solve that one....
@@schubird43 Hi! you are right, as soon as fiveM kicks in the wheel force drops, the wheel keeps working but no self centering function, which make difficult to drive, if you're gonna drive on the highway is cool but not the full experience, the best I could came up was to remap the left paddle to Alt-tab and switch to any program on windows really quick to get the self centering back and it works but as soon as I move the mouse or press any key on fiveM you loose the force again, so I press the left paddle again to get it back. You can even still drive while in a different window, you loss any contact with the game but the wheel and voice chat doesn't, I know because I have double monitor setup so i can see what happens in fiveM game while in other programs on the second monitor, (cool). I have try different combinations on the x360e buy nothing seems to work. There's a script/mod for gta v (manual Transmission & steering wheel support) that I saw on some youtube videos, seems to work, even force feedback!, I havent try it because I am afraid to mods and the bann issue, even if it works the fiveM server has to allow external mods or user scrips, some allow it like the drift or race ones but the RP don't, at least the one I like doesn't. I was thinking, what if there's a program who controls the self centering regardless the window you are in, for me that will be enough. Hope you'll share any new info Best regards
how does it work? does it have any form of force feedback? mostly centering. im running a mod for manual and wheel support, and everything works fine force feedback and all. but one issue, its client side so that means i need to run a script witch means its a no go for fiveM for understandable reasons, cheaters and all running crazy ass scripts. all i want is to use my g920 with a h pattern and ffb
Centering works pretty much normaly, but I haven't been able to figure out if there are any options in the program that will successfully pass FFB through. I have only attempted to test a few options because if I get it wrong then FiveM doesn't like to load, or it loads but the .dll files don't initiate properly. As for the manual gearing mod, yes that uses scripthook or whatever so it's disabled by servers that don't allow client side mods (and FiveM's latest update made it even more difficult to use client side stuff like visual packs). So as for now I don't know of a way to use an H shifter, and have FFB, in game unless someone develops something that will run server side and give users the option.
It seems there is an issue with the g920. I don't have one, but I will test my g29 this weekend. My thoughts so far are: A) Logitech updating something with their drivers or... 2) A recent update to FiveM may be causing an issue but somehow just for Logitech? At www.x360ce.com there is a "forum" as well as an "issues" section. I suggest people go there to search for a similar issue or voice their own troubles. They should definitely know more than I do.
my wheel works completely fine in the x360 client but the emulated controller doesnt show up anywhere, ive tried scanning for controllers with stream and in fivem i can only use keyboard and mouse...
Hmm..... only couple things I can think of right now is to make sure you don't overwrite the original 1_3.dll and that you place your .dll files in the correct location. I know I messed those up once when redoing my control layout.
Oh also, it's not meant to "show up" as a separate controller, just run as a normal xbox 360 controller would. So there should be no need to scan for it, or to try and configure it in FiveM. Actually that brings up a point, don't try to configure it in FiveM or in GTA at all. Just make sure the files are in the correct spot and it *should* recognize it as a 360 controller. @schubird . In order to make the software load, you sometimes need to kill it from the memory after configuring it. Its the only way i get it to work every time. However, i still cant get the centering spring function to work neither...The best i can do is get the rumble function from impact , off road and hard turns but not quite there yet. ( Trustmaster 150)
That's interesting that the centering doesn't work. I'm using the Thrustmaster TMX Force Feedback and the centering works fine. I can't seem to get any FFB to operate though. Does the 150 use any special software? The TMX just uses the Windows Control Panel.
Ok everything works the only thing that’s not working is my pedals, for some reason they are acting as buttons which means they don’t have a sensitivity wether I press lightly or hard both full throttle any fixes?
I'll have to check out a few ideas I have and get back to you. It might be a while, currently dealing with a network issue that might involve a lot of attempts at a bunch of "fixes."
Honestly, it's been a long time since I messed with this, but I think if you're using a Thrustmaster wheel you can go into the Control Panel on Windows and change the Auto-Center setting from "game" to "wheel." If you're using a Logitech wheel, I'm not sure what the settings are for that anymore.
Im following the steps in the video, but when I close out of the application it does not add the files I need(the ones that go into FiveM). Does anyone have an idea of why this is?
If you're using version 4 of x360ce it won't create those files. Instead you must leave the program running while gaming. Other programs like AntiMicro work the same way, they must be open as you game.
I have done everything you did in the video and it still does not work. I tried it with my controller plugged in, without it plugged in. I cant figure it out

Either you mean you're using a Logitech wheel and you have no centering spring or you're using something else and you just want to feel the bumps and stuff... either way the answer is no. On the Logitech side of things, sadly I tried a whole bunch of ideas in order to trick the program into working properly and keep the centering force while in game but nothing worked. As for FFB on other wheels, all it would do is mimic the vibrations of the controller, not give you true FFB like in a racing game. Sorry!
i wish this worked i did all the steps and dragged the files in the bin and the game loaded fine but i didn't hear the noise and as soon as i tried to drive it did nothing.

That is odd! I'm not sure what could cause that, unless maybe you have some sort of double bind going on? Maybe try resetting your throttle control in x360ce...? That is a stumper of an issue!

hi, whenever i accelerate the car, car is locking and unlocking. it's really annoying because every second i hear "blip blip" voice. Do you guys know the solution?
That would have to do with a script in the server I think? Like for me, when I'm backing up if I have a gun in my hand the character will try to do a drive-by. I was told it has to do with how the game handles controller vs keyboard controls. I guess it thinks you're using a combination and so something is getting crossed. I don't remember totally, it's been awhile, but check with the admin of the server you are on and maybe they can help you out?
I have two devices, separeted pedals + Logitech G29. That software will support to insert this in GTA V Fivem? G29 need only works to steering and the separated pedals to... pedals.
Wow I am so sorry for the delayed response... this software worked with the G29 in the past. However, I have been having difficulty getting it to function properly with FiveM lately. I'm trying every now and then, but have not found a work around.
It created the .ini and the 1_4.dll file, and you moved them to the "bin" folder in your FiveM Application Data like I showed? Also did you make sure to not replace the 1_3.dll? (Just a couple thoughts off the top of my head).

Works alright with my g27 wheel, thanks. Is there anyway to use the full rotation of the wheel, mine only seems to rotate 90 degrees left or right while normal I should be going much further?
So your wheel only rotates 90°? Weird... I have not run into this issue. It might be worthwhile to double check any Logitech settings, you could also explore the x360ce software to see if there is an oddball setting in there? (I would do that in a new folder so you don't mess with your working configuration...)

Dang that sucks! Well you don't need the x360ce program in the FiveM folder. You just need the 1_4.dll and the .ini file that gets created. Umm... I know I had this same issue but for the life of me I can't think of what caused it. OH! Check to make sure your stuff is connected, kinda dumb I know, but if it's not connected then the game doesn't like to launch properly. Also, try to make sure you're connected to the same USB hubs every time. With my setup for some reason if I switch which USB port the devices are plugged into then it doesn't like to find them.

If all your files in FiveM and GTA V have stayed the same then I would check your G29 drivers. Recently in another game I have been having trouble getting my G29 to work even though it was fine previously. Something about this new GHub software doesn't seem to work properly for me.
@@schubird43 since I copied the file from gta v directory to the fivem directory, it only works on fivem but not in gta (original online). and when i open the x360 exe in the fivem directory, it doesn't recognize my g29, it lights up red. but in the gtav directory he recognizes the g29.... can u please add me discord? eXpect_Bruno#0315
@@Brunitoooツ I've learned that x360ce works best if you use it in a separate folder. Run it like normal, let it create the necessary files, and when you're done simply copy/paste them into GTA V or FiveM. That way there is no crossover in the files, meaning the file you place in FiveM isn't expecting something extra that is way over in your GTA V folder.
@@schubird43 i tried, same problem... :( x360ce files in a separat folder, anc copied just the neccesary files into fivemund gtav but still the same problem... edit: i removed the data from fiveM and only gtav has the files and it still didn`t worked.... but in fivem still works... and the file was new creadet its something with the gtav but i don't know what....

Wow I have missed so many comments in the last couple of weeks... Sorry to hear it didn't work correctly. Did you double check the video at roughly th-cam.com/video/KujOLwYoRxE/w-d-xo.html I show how you have to click the correct boxes so it will create those files. If you watch again, notice that the COM box in the upper right is not checked, however the last time I used x360ce it was checked by default. Try it either way and see if that makes any difference.
In the description you will now find a Google Drive link to a folder containing the .dll and .ini files for the Thrustmaster TMX wheel. I currently do not have files for the G29.
I installed everything like you did and the program detects my wheel but as soon as I join my FiveM server it won't work anymore. Might it be the problem that the server I'm playing on has custom-mods disabled?
I would be willing to guess that if mods and addons are disabled server side then maybe the .dll won't even be loaded up. You could always try..... going into a public FiveM server.... 😳 As scary as those are it will at least give you an idea if it worked or not.

It seems FiveM is great at giving us amazing modding/customization ability, but then also taking it away or breaking it with updates... I'll see what I can do for making my x360ce configs available, although everyone's PC is different so it sadly might still not work for everyone.

I have been using version 3.2.10.82 of the software. If you have Alpha version 4 of x360ce then you can skip moving files over. Instead you need to keep the program running in the background. (Sorry for the late reply, I'm trying to catch up on missed comments!)
After some quick searching it seems if you are running version 4 of x360ce then you need to keep the program running while the game runs because v4 doesn't create the .ini file. You might be able to get it to go with version 4... I haven't tried my g29 in a long time though so I'm not 100% on that. With version 4 you merely need to keep x360ce running while you play your game. No need to move files.
2 years later... If someone try this method: DOES NOT MATTER what u do, how u do, what u try, steering wheel with x360ce NOT going to WORK in FiveM. In Gta V sp and Gta V online works perfectly. (No u do not get banned). But in FiveM just not work. Just a little headsup.
Depending on how x360ce detected your wheel, the turning axis might initially be bound to the right thumb stick. Simply make sure you clear the right thumb stick by using its dropdown menu in x360ce and you should be good to go.
Should work in regular GTA Online as well as FiveM servers. If you're using a Logitech wheel there might be some difficulties getting it to operate, something with their drivers I'm assuming. Also depending on the scripts used on the server there may be some button conflicts to watch out for.
Hey I was having trouble with the x360ce_x64 so I used Xbox 360 Controller Emulator 4.13.11.0 • 2020-08-20 (x360ce) and had better results. The Emulator allows for "some" forced feedback but still not ideal for me. If your wheel has two motors make sure to set it to the appropriate feedback setting with a 2, such as Constant2. With the x360ce you only need to install > map buttons / configurations > run in background. I also made sure to exit out of steam and G Hub in case they tried to interfere. Again the forced feedback you get isnt ideal, but when you are going through bumpy roads or hit something that would make a controller vibrate, you feel it through the wheel pretty well. Final note I am using a G29 and if I figure out how to make the feedback stronger then I'll be sure to update this comment!

After you click save and then close the program it should have it created in whatever folder the program ran from. In fact I think it creates it when the program runs. 🤔 If you're having trouble with things not showing up then try moving the .exe to a different folder and running it again, basically start from square one. I had to do this several times when I experimented with some of the other settings in x360ce.
I did a quick Google search, I did find that depending on which version of x360ce you are running it might need to be open while running the game. I'm not at my PC at the moment to check what version I have been using. I found that information here: github.com/x360ce/x360ce/issues/747

Check in your wheel software, whether it's a Logitech or Thrustmaster or whatever, and you should see a setting for your centering spring. On my TM I have that to the max and on my Logitech I use it at 15-25%. I've tried this multiple times and I never get any prompt to search for settings on the internet. I do get some buttons that light up when I press the gas pedal or brake but then, in the game, nothing works. Frustrating. In the setup, I can't get many of the buttons to respond to anything I set them to. I'll have to retry this again.
Sorry to hear you're having trouble (also sorry for the late reply), it's been a while since I have attempted to re-setup everything. Hopefully one of these upcoming weekends I will have enough time to double check different things. What version of the software are you running and what wheel/pedals are you trying to use?

Mine did the same thing... something with the new FiveM update made version 3 inoperable. I did try version 4 and that seems to work. For version 4 all you have to do is keep x36ce running while you play.
Not getting any ffb on my g920/g290 anyone else have this issue?
Based on the comments here as well as any DMs I have received, other people are having an issue with the g920/29. My assumption as of right now is that it's an issue with the Logitech drivers switching "off" in a way because it doesn't recognize the game. I can't be certain, but that's what my guess is.

why does version 4 not have the combine controllers options?
I just checked this over the weekend, the combine controllers checkbox is there. I still had issues getting version 4 to map buttons on my Saitek Sidepanel though...
As far as I have noticed, v4 more or less automatically combines controllers. I did have issues with my controller setup so it's a bit of trial and error unfortunately.

I can clarify A few things for you guys Though!
Xbox controller - if you want to have both this plugin and the controller, You MUST program it in the software. The game will only load one plugin and if the controller isn't Initialized, it will not work.
32 Bit - Is used for older games that are not on 64-bit Architecture. Same with the different versions of xinput.
Loading the installer in the Bin folder - The program does actually initialize, but it uses the first available xinput to do so, indicated in the bottom right. (Microsoft one) Without the modded DLL, it cannot make changes. If you remove the original Microsoft xinput1_3.dll, it will work for editing. But should you uninstall X360CE, your original controllers won't work either.
Force Feedback - I haven't really figured out how to make it work, however, you have to remember it is the controller force-feedback, so for EX. Vibration on explosions or crashes. It cannot give you road feedback like racing games do, (if you do want that, and you play singleplayer or your server supports client scripts(trainers for ex) Lookup Manual Transmissions by IKT.)
Also your right, GTAV decreases Sensitivity as you go faster to account for the limited XBOX 360 Joystick.
You have convinced me to play with my dead zones a bit more though, would like to get a little smoother and maybe some more degrees out of my Setup!

It worked like a charm! After reading some post i might be lucky, the only issue is that force feedback is not working, what i meant is not even self centering, and becomes difficult to drive since you have to center the wheel each turn and if you go past center will turn the other way and drive like a snake on the road, but if from the Logitech G hub move the operating range you'll feel the motor stooping you to the selected range, any recommendations to have self centering on, thanks! I'm glad it worked for the most part. Sadly as I have posted in the recent past... I still couldn't find a solution. It seems something just drops out once FiveM is launched. Since x360ce just creates some extra files I'm guessing that there is miscommunication between those and FiveM, or between FiveM and Logitech GHub. I'm leaning toward the latter, but I'm not smart enough to solve that one....
@@schubird43 Hi! you are right, as soon as fiveM kicks in the wheel force drops, the wheel keeps working but no self centering function, which make difficult to drive, if you're gonna drive on the highway is cool but not the full experience, the best I could came up was to remap the left paddle to Alt-tab and switch to any program on windows really quick to get the self centering back and it works but as soon as I move the mouse or press any key on fiveM you loose the force again, so I press the left paddle again to get it back. You can even still drive while in a different window, you loss any contact with the game but the wheel and voice chat doesn't, I know because I have double monitor setup so i can see what happens in fiveM game while in other programs on the second monitor, (cool). I have try different combinations on the x360e buy nothing seems to work.
There's a script/mod for gta v (manual Transmission & steering wheel support) that I saw on some youtube videos, seems to work, even force feedback!, I havent try it because I am afraid to mods and the bann issue, even if it works the fiveM server has to allow external mods or user scrips, some allow it like the drift or race ones but the RP don't, at least the one I like doesn't.
I was thinking, what if there's a program who controls the self centering regardless the window you are in, for me that will be enough.

how does it work? does it have any form of force feedback? mostly centering. im running a mod for manual and wheel support, and everything works fine force feedback and all. but one issue, its client side so that means i need to run a script witch means its a no go for fiveM for understandable reasons, cheaters and all running crazy ass scripts. all i want is to use my g920 with a h pattern and ffb
Centering works pretty much normaly, but I haven't been able to figure out if there are any options in the program that will successfully pass FFB through. I have only attempted to test a few options because if I get it wrong then FiveM doesn't like to load, or it loads but the .dll files don't initiate properly.
As for the manual gearing mod, yes that uses scripthook or whatever so it's disabled by servers that don't allow client side mods (and FiveM's latest update made it even more difficult to use client side stuff like visual packs). So as for now I don't know of a way to use an H shifter, and have FFB, in game unless someone develops something that will run server side and give users the option.
My g920 just stop working any thoughts?
It seems there is an issue with the g920. I don't have one, but I will test my g29 this weekend. My thoughts so far are: A) Logitech updating something with their drivers or... 2) A recent update to FiveM may be causing an issue but somehow just for Logitech?
At www.x360ce.com there is a "forum" as well as an "issues" section. I suggest people go there to search for a similar issue or voice their own troubles. They should definitely know more than I do.

my wheel works completely fine in the x360 client but the emulated controller doesnt show up anywhere, ive tried scanning for controllers with stream and in fivem i can only use keyboard and mouse...
Hmm..... only couple things I can think of right now is to make sure you don't overwrite the original 1_3.dll and that you place your .dll files in the correct location. I know I messed those up once when redoing my control layout.
Oh also, it's not meant to "show up" as a separate controller, just run as a normal xbox 360 controller would. So there should be no need to scan for it, or to try and configure it in FiveM. Actually that brings up a point, don't try to configure it in FiveM or in GTA at all. Just make sure the files are in the correct spot and it *should* recognize it as a 360 controller. Hope that helps!!!

@schubird . In order to make the software load, you sometimes need to kill it from the memory after configuring it. Its the only way i get it to work every time. However, i still cant get the centering spring function to work neither...The best i can do is get the rumble function from impact , off road and hard turns but not quite there yet. ( Trustmaster 150)
That's interesting that the centering doesn't work. I'm using the Thrustmaster TMX Force Feedback and the centering works fine. I can't seem to get any FFB to operate though. Does the 150 use any special software? The TMX just uses the Windows Control Panel.
Ok everything works the only thing that’s not working is my pedals, for some reason they are acting as buttons which means they don’t have a sensitivity wether I press lightly or hard both full throttle any fixes?

Honestly, it's been a long time since I messed with this, but I think if you're using a Thrustmaster wheel you can go into the Control Panel on Windows and change the Auto-Center setting from "game" to "wheel." If you're using a Logitech wheel, I'm not sure what the settings are for that anymore.
Im following the steps in the video, but when I close out of the application it does not add the files I need(the ones that go into FiveM). Does anyone have an idea of why this is?
If you're using version 4 of x360ce it won't create those files. Instead you must leave the program running while gaming. Other programs like AntiMicro work the same way, they must be open as you game.

Either you mean you're using a Logitech wheel and you have no centering spring or you're using something else and you just want to feel the bumps and stuff... either way the answer is no. On the Logitech side of things, sadly I tried a whole bunch of ideas in order to trick the program into working properly and keep the centering force while in game but nothing worked. As for FFB on other wheels, all it would do is mimic the vibrations of the controller, not give you true FFB like in a racing game. Sorry!

Perhaps you should try version 4. With that all you have to do is leave x360ce running while you play your game. No need to move files.

That is odd! I'm not sure what could cause that, unless maybe you have some sort of double bind going on? Maybe try resetting your throttle control in x360ce...? That is a stumper of an issue!

What type of wheel are you using? Have you tried setting it all up without the controller attached to see if that is somehow interfering?

hi, whenever i accelerate the car, car is locking and unlocking. it's really annoying because every second i hear "blip blip" voice. Do you guys know the solution?
That would have to do with a script in the server I think? Like for me, when I'm backing up if I have a gun in my hand the character will try to do a drive-by. I was told it has to do with how the game handles controller vs keyboard controls. I guess it thinks you're using a combination and so something is getting crossed. I don't remember totally, it's been awhile, but check with the admin of the server you are on and maybe they can help you out?

Wow I am so sorry for the delayed response... this software worked with the G29 in the past. However, I have been having difficulty getting it to function properly with FiveM lately. I'm trying every now and then, but have not found a work around.

It created the .ini and the 1_4.dll file, and you moved them to the "bin" folder in your FiveM Application Data like I showed? Also did you make sure to not replace the 1_3.dll? (Just a couple thoughts off the top of my head).

Works alright with my g27 wheel, thanks. Is there anyway to use the full rotation of the wheel, mine only seems to rotate 90 degrees left or right while normal I should be going much further?
So your wheel only rotates 90°? Weird... I have not run into this issue. It might be worthwhile to double check any Logitech settings, you could also explore the x360ce software to see if there is an oddball setting in there? (I would do that in a new folder so you don't mess with your working configuration...)

Dang that sucks! Well you don't need the x360ce program in the FiveM folder. You just need the 1_4.dll and the .ini file that gets created. Umm... I know I had this same issue but for the life of me I can't think of what caused it.
OH! Check to make sure your stuff is connected, kinda dumb I know, but if it's not connected then the game doesn't like to launch properly. Also, try to make sure you're connected to the same USB hubs every time. With my setup for some reason if I switch which USB port the devices are plugged into then it doesn't like to find them.

If all your files in FiveM and GTA V have stayed the same then I would check your G29 drivers. Recently in another game I have been having trouble getting my G29 to work even though it was fine previously. Something about this new GHub software doesn't seem to work properly for me.
@@schubird43 since I copied the file from gta v directory to the fivem directory, it only works on fivem but not in gta (original online). and when i open the x360 exe in the fivem directory, it doesn't recognize my g29, it lights up red. but in the gtav directory he recognizes the g29.... can u please add me discord?

@@Brunitoooツ I've learned that x360ce works best if you use it in a separate folder. Run it like normal, let it create the necessary files, and when you're done simply copy/paste them into GTA V or FiveM. That way there is no crossover in the files, meaning the file you place in FiveM isn't expecting something extra that is way over in your GTA V folder.

x360ce files in a separat folder, anc copied just the neccesary files into fivemund gtav but still the same problem...
edit: i removed the data from fiveM and only gtav has the files and it still didn`t worked.... but in fivem still works...
and the file was new creadet

Wow I have missed so many comments in the last couple of weeks... Sorry to hear it didn't work correctly. Did you double check the video at roughly th-cam.com/video/KujOLwYoRxE/w-d-xo.html I show how you have to click the correct boxes so it will create those files. If you watch again, notice that the COM box in the upper right is not checked, however the last time I used x360ce it was checked by default. Try it either way and see if that makes any difference.

In the description you will now find a Google Drive link to a folder containing the .dll and .ini files for the Thrustmaster TMX wheel. I currently do not have files for the G29.

Play around with the anti-deadzone. Somehow the game treats them a bit backwards...
I installed everything like you did and the program detects my wheel but as soon as I join my FiveM server it won't work anymore.
Might it be the problem that the server I'm playing on has custom-mods disabled?
I would be willing to guess that if mods and addons are disabled server side then maybe the .dll won't even be loaded up. You could always try..... going into a public FiveM server.... 😳 As scary as those are it will at least give you an idea if it worked or not.

It seems FiveM is great at giving us amazing modding/customization ability, but then also taking it away or breaking it with updates... I'll see what I can do for making my x360ce configs available, although everyone's PC is different so it sadly might still not work for everyone.

I have been using version 3.2.10.82 of the software. If you have Alpha version 4 of x360ce then you can skip moving files over. Instead you need to keep the program running in the background.

After some quick searching it seems if you are running version 4 of x360ce then you need to keep the program running while the game runs because v4 doesn't create the .ini file. Funny thing is, off the top of my head, I don't even remember what version I am running... lol

You might be able to get it to go with version 4... I haven't tried my g29 in a long time though so I'm not 100% on that. With version 4 you merely need to keep x360ce running while you play your game. No need to move files.

It seems once the wheel is actually used as a controller, meaning you turn the wheel or press the pedals, then it deactivates the G keys binding.

2 years later... If someone try this method: DOES NOT MATTER what u do, how u do, what u try, steering wheel with x360ce NOT going to WORK in FiveM. In Gta V sp and Gta V online works perfectly. (No u do not get banned). But in FiveM just not work. Just a little headsup.

Depending on how x360ce detected your wheel, the turning axis might initially be bound to the right thumb stick. Simply make sure you clear the right thumb stick by using its dropdown menu in x360ce and you should be good to go.
Will it work on servers too
Should work in regular GTA Online as well as FiveM servers. If you're using a Logitech wheel there might be some difficulties getting it to operate, something with their drivers I'm assuming. Also depending on the scripts used on the server there may be some button conflicts to watch out for.

Hey I was having trouble with the x360ce_x64 so I used Xbox 360 Controller Emulator 4.13.11.0 • 2020-08-20 (x360ce) and had better results. The Emulator allows for "some" forced feedback but still not ideal for me. If your wheel has two motors make sure to set it to the appropriate feedback setting with a 2, such as Constant2. With the x360ce you only need to install > map buttons / configurations > run in background. I also made sure to exit out of steam and G Hub in case they tried to interfere. Again the forced feedback you get isnt ideal, but when you are going through bumpy roads or hit something that would make a controller vibrate, you feel it through the wheel pretty well. Final note I am using a G29 and if I figure out how to make the feedback stronger then I'll be sure to update this comment!

After you click save and then close the program it should have it created in whatever folder the program ran from. In fact I think it creates it when the program runs. 🤔
If you're having trouble with things not showing up then try moving the .exe to a different folder and running it again, basically start from square one. I had to do this several times when I experimented with some of the other settings in x360ce.

Weird! I'm not sure why that would be... possibly a setting within the Logitech Gaming Software or whatever software your wheel uses?

So everything works for you in vanilla GTA? That is interesting, it makes me think more and more that my struggles with Logitech may actually be FiveM related.
@@schubird43 yeah, it was pretty straight foward with gta v , now fivem i still havent figured it out, but i will try again tomorrow , thanks for the reply
@@schubird43 I have a thrustmaster t80 btw not a logitech, but yeah its fiveMs fault for sure not gta / wheel related, since i can also use my wheel on need for speed payback with the same software
@@b.henriques9871 Thanks for letting me know the software works in other games too! I never had a need outside of GTA/FiveM so I never really knew how well it functions.

My wheel doesent go back to ita normal postion so i cannot just let my hands off the wheel i have to center it myself. It should center automatically any tips?
Check in your wheel software, whether it's a Logitech or Thrustmaster or whatever, and you should see a setting for your centering spring. On my TM I have that to the max and on my Logitech I use it at 15-25%. (Not my screenshots but hope they help)
