"soldier keep on marching on" could also be referring to the person just having to deal with the effects of PTSD unable to ever truly heal, so they mush just keep on marching in spite of the events
Also the lyrics "waiting for that morning sun" could easily be the soldier waiting for the day it's truly behind him, that eventually that PTSD will go away, even if it is a false hope it's still some motivation to continue going

Thank you for protecting us. My sister's and brothers. Do we really understand the sacrifice that our sisters and brothers endure for us? They don't even know me ( our military sisters and brothers) but they give so much and continue to do and give so unselfishly. Tears I shed. I'm so emotional because y'all love me and give so damn much for me yet y'all don't even know me. Katrina wants to tell y'all that I Love y'all. My mom fought in the army and she survived but lost her friend that saved her from a bomb. Her friend ended up dieing from the bomb and my mom was devastated. She took it like a man and said she would she her again and she would be able to hug her again. My mom almost died that day, I almost lost my mom that day but her friend was kind enough and loving enough to know my mom had more to live for and how she would make the world a better place. I am so grateful for that friend to this day so this song has a special place in my heart for the army and the friends that care enough to die for eachother ❤❤

This song....wow. Bumped to this yesterday by accident. I do somewhat very mentally and physically hard job. Deal with lots of field work, problems, people, customers, meetings, bosses, helping out, delegating stuff, straight out sweaty honest labor also. No matter if its cold or hot. At the end of the day...this song calms so much and gives strenght! And its something i can relate very much. "Keep on marchin on". Yeap. Get it done. Over the obstacles. Waiting for that morning sun again to another day, although we start before the sun rise.

My son was just deployed. I pray all day for his safety and strength while being gone so long from home. As for this momma, praying for peace of mind and comfort until I hear his voice hopefully soon. And for the day he returns home safely to me and his baby brother who looks up to him as a role model (we lost my husband/their dad in 2007 when they were just 9, 5, and 1.5yrs old, who was an army vet) and his older sister. My son's dream was to follow in his dad's footsteps in honor of him. I'm so proud of my son so selflessly sacrificing being away from home and all he holds dear to his heart, at just the very young age of 21. To keep and protect our safety and freedoms as we lay sleeping at night, safe, and in the comfort of our homes.

My grandpa was a soldier in Vietnam he died about a year ago, Rip grandpa (Melvill) I’ll never forget our memories together.

Amazing song, I first heard it from the Netflix show the Shadow hunters. You can hear more songs from this singer in the soundtrack of the series. The song gives me the chills, it makes me think about the inner strength we have to get us through the bad times and dark paths we all have to take. Be brave and never give up!
