I’ve got a vintage Oris Pointer Date, 32mm James. Purely bought as a special occasion watch it’s stunning! I’ve eyed this model off now FOREVER, but still haven’t bought one. Having said that I did buy the Oris ProPilot GMT about 2 months ago.👍🏼😎
I own a bcpd as well. It is one of my earliest watch and still remain my favourite to this day. Still wear it regularly in my 20 watches collection. 😂 Agree it wears very well and the dial still attracts me to stare and admire it. One thing I don't agree with is the bezel. The coin edge bezel is one of my favourite part of the watch and goes very well with the whole watch design. Definitely won't want it to be changed. Nice review.
That's one heck of a nice watch, and thanks for reminding me about it. I like the Sellita base movement, and the whole design just works for me. I think a pointer date is a nice _consistent_ date indicator, and it's easier for me to read (in low light especially) than a date printed on a date wheel. The big crown looks right on the watch, just don't let that encourage you to manually wind the watch beyond what it takes to get it running.
Great review! I was lucky enough to pick up the Roberto Clemente edition BCPD at a nice discount from an AD. I’m coming up on two years of owning it and I love the watch. My BCPD has a cream dial that is iridescent in the sunlight; it’s stunning. My only regret was not initially getting the bracelet as it can be difficult to track down separately. I’ve got a bracelet arriving soon though. Regardless, the watch is a strap monster, it looks great with any strap I’ve put on it. It’s a true modern classic 👍🏽
Excellent review of my grail watch James. However, the problem isn't just the price, but if I bought one I would have to wear it most of the time and ignore the rest of my collection.
I have had this exact same watch and sold it after a while. Sits and wears very well. Beautiful (my favorite) color of dial. But somehow I got tired of it.
To similar to what I have , Too easy to get another black dial field/aviator style watch , but I do like the pro pilot x in either lazer or grey , top of my list from my next watch is power reserve.
I was lucky enough to pick up a brand new bronze case and bracelet with a burgundy dial for $2800 AUD due to a pricing error which Oris honored. I'm one lucky man!
Well fellow Aussie Jody sez the Divers 65 is the best, perhaps a grudge match, stripped tothe waist in a billabong? Each man armed with a deadly platypus, Im only worried that Jodys Scottish heritage might give him a bladed weopon advantage but I understand native aAussies can draw on a rich genetic criminal history.......😂
Thanks for WATCHing
I love how the pointer date eliminates the unbalanced dial of having a date at 3. It's basically like a no date.

The specs on this watch is literally perfect. Well for me anyway. Thanks for showing us the watch!

Some watches are just meant to be. This is beautiful. Excellent James 😊

The one model from Oris that does it for me , love these watches. .
Thanks for WATCHing
Beautiful watch, I'm not so keen on the bracelet, it's a bit blingy, but the watch would look amazing on a nice leather strap.
Thanks for WATCHing
To be honest, the oris big crown pointer date is my dream watch, such a versatile watch and has a lot of history
They are really nice

It is an amazing watch. I’ve been tempted by the all bronze version too.
It's probably the only Oris I would buy. I love me some cathedral hands.
They really add to the overall look

I know how that feels. I’ve done it before. But I find it eventually settles into the collection and might just be one of the more go to pieces.
That's a nice review of my entry-level drug.
And it's permanent in the collection.
Thanks for WATCHing
Never really been a Oris fan, can't quite put my finger on it , but everyone I can't stress this enough, buy what you enjoy and you won't go far wrong
Thanks for WATCHing

There’s a Big Crown skeleton on Joma that’s almost $3000 off retail. I think it might be my new attainable grail.
They have a few of those. Such a great brand

I saw that they were partially cheap for a while on Starbuy. I almost bought one.
Congratulations for completing 10 k subscribers .
Thank you so much
A flawed beauty but a stunning one at that! Man oh man I love these! Take care James!
They are a lovely watch
From certain angles off the side, that Oris looks like a UFO. I like it!

Imo too much gloss, flat dial, 50m water resistance are not ideal

Hahahahahaha. I like the 65 too. But not as much as this one.
