Hey, Phoebe, you did fabulous! Now will you show how to make tramp art in the Crown of Thorns style? Particularly a picture frame. Phoebe, you’re my only hope!
I definitely want to try this for myself. I love the idea of applying this technique on furniture like a dresser. Are you still planning on doing that? I would love a video on it
@@rebekahschroeder7949 For this one, I'd say probably around 8-10 hours. But it's very sporadic because I do it around baby naps! And it takes longer while I test things out. So I'm sure if I did it again I could do it much quicker. And ideally, with powertools, even faster again!
The tramp Art piece I have each layer was a solid piece of wood that progressively gotten smaller. However where you only looked at a picture to figure it out you did rather good for your first attempt at tramp art.
@@phoebedoeseverything they used scrap wood and probably a hand saw. Remember before cardboard everything was delivered in wood crates. They were recycling trash into something they could sell. 😉
Dang I would have given up so soon. Love it! Great job. I had a popsicle stick lamp growing up that i loved but it was also a bit creepy? If that makes sense? I always love tramp art frames in antique stores
I know EXACTLY what you mean. I don’t quite understand why but I totally know that creepy feeling from the popsicle sticks! 😝How bizarre. Tramp art is so amazing, I think it is really underrated!
Girl, that looks fantastic for your first try! Dare I ask how many hours it took to make?? Hope your father is doing alright. Sending positive vibes to him. 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you, he’s doing amazing 🙏🏽 If I had to guess I’d say I spent at least 8 hours making the box but a lot of it was trial and error and very start and stop. If I had all the right equipment and did it again I think you could do it in half that time
i saw your tramp art episode. i also taught myself how to do it. i succeeded. all that is needed is a pocket knife . boxes with pedestal , picture frames. i also learn the crown of thorns technique. i hope to make contact with you.
You don't mess around when you're determined to follow through😂 You did amazingly well..WOW! I know from watching you how I would do it differently which is the point of watching someone else attempts these diy's. I would use full square pieces of wood and just stack them from large to small and do the carves around each wood..hope that makes sense..😊
Yes I think the full square pieces would DEFINITELY be the way to go, I just couldn’t achieve that without a lot of sawing or a power tool. I think I’m going to have to buy some power tools soon because it would open up so many more opportunities for my projects!!!
WOW! You have the patience of Job. I love your sense of style.
Oh thank you! I only have patience SOMETIMES 😜
You are very talented, but mostly your patience and determination is incredible! Beautiful box!
You are so kind! thank you! 💕

Oh my, crown of thorns is so beautiful! I will have to do some research!

You did an amazing job!!
I bought the same wood Bamboo sticks a while back but going to use paint sticks or shims.
Great idea! I hope it’s a success! ✨💕

I do still really want to do it! I need another sideboard for the office so I’ve been waiting to find the right piece 🤩
This deserved a like and a comment.
Thanks! 🥰
Mind blowing! 🤯 That was quite the undertaking…and you finished it! 🙌🏻
It took a while but I got there in the end!!! I am happy with the result 🤩
@@phoebedoeseverything Do you have an idea of how many hours you put into the project? I’m just being curious. ☺️

Yes I think the solid wood is definitely how it’s supposed to be done I was just trying to do it without power tools! I feel like I got pretty close 😅
