I'm 52 and have been performing live since I was 15. I've played in front of 20 people in early bar bands and in front of thousands as part of much more popular and successful groups...and everything in between. Music is and has been my very lifeblood. I've listened to and have been influenced by countless bands and artists and innumerable styles. Within Temptation is one of the very few bands that has stayed with me and taken up residence deep within my musical soul. Some influences have come and gone, enjoyed thoroughly in their time but eventually fading away as my tastes evolved. A few have stood the test of time and stayed with me as part of who I truly am; Rush, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Marillion, Triumph/Rik Emmett and a very few others. Within Temptation is firmly seated in that category. From their infectious albums to the spectacle of their live performances, they are damn near perfection. It's a shame that American "culture" is currently holding aloft "singers" and "artists" with the barest sliver of talent; favoring image and partaking in the unspoken contest of removing the most clothing. This is a damn-near perfect show, my single regret being the omission of my favorite WT song, "Shot in the Dark". Here's hoping for another twenty years of Within Temptation.
I'm addicted to this show! I've watched it about 5 times now. It's the perfect rock concert! Great music. . .amazing lighting and staging, beautifully shot and edited, perfect sound. . . and totally over the top!! guitarist 100 feet in the air, full orchestra and choir flame throwers on the stage over the top!! God I wish I was there. . .
Roger Goddard I didn’t mind the stilt dancers. I didn’t enjoy the regular dancers in some of the numbers (like Sinead). Still, I’ll take the bad with the good when it comes to this show.
As a musician I can say, it was the best performance of a female singer in last some thousands of years with a support of a fantastic metal band, choir and symphonics.

I was there that night. I went to Antwerp all the way from Mexico; broke the bank but it was totally worth it. I found myself on this video during Candles which in my opinion was the song of the night.

Dan Maginnis Pop music was fine until the outfit and looks overtook in importance and hot men and women became either the singers or a compulsory part of any video with little care to the actual music. Rock was fine until the looks overtook and we had the Glam and Hair Rock. You can't ignore the looks, the interviews, the life, and the deeds of musicians. In today's culture, they are bigger than just a voice and therefore it is relevant to talk about their looks.
I have just recently had the pleasure of discovering the amazing WT. I know, where have i been under a rock? Pretty much. No exaggeration to say the last 6 years have been the lowest point in my lifetime of highs and lows... no internet, no vehicle, no cell, jobless, almost homeless, trouble with the law, addictions, buried under a mountain of depression and despair. Watched my relationships turn to dust almost as fast as my numerous bands. Harder i try to save what i love the faster it falls apart it seems. Is there such a thing as hell on earth? Yes, i have lived it. I grew up listening to such icons as Janice, Heart, Pat Benetar, Lita Ford, Joan Jett, Evanescence, In This Moment, Halestorm- just to name a few. Sharon den Adel has one of the finest voices in the industry. Her performances are top shelf and she can bring a smile or a tear in equal measure. In fact you can hear the smile in her voice when she sings- truly loves what she does, it shines through. And that is a most beautiful thing. Haters, critics say whatever. The ppl that attended this show got their moneys worth and then some. Great band, great hooks, excellent dynamics and songwriting. What an undertaking to keep a full orchestra and choir in sync during a live performance with a metal band. Epic doesnt even begin to describe this show. Thank you Within Temptation for setting the bar at a new level. You restore me, you inspire me, you make me glad to be alive and that is no small thing. Colors come alive; Life will indeed take its course; SO glad you were part of mine.

The sound associate with this concert is perfect. You can hear every section of the orchestra, but it is so well done that it doesn't distract from the drums, guitars, and bass, not to mention Sharon's voice! I would have loved to be at that concert. It looks electric!
This kind of show worths every single cent invested in the buying of a ticket. In fact, each single person whose had the opportunity to live this experience should had payed in double. This is unique and a lifetime memory.

The more i listen , the more it grows on me... first heard this band 2 days ago... great music , fantastic voice she has. They are in a League of their own.... few can follow... ahh well.. still have nightwish and old Kamelot there too... but still.. not bad to be side by side with such bands..aii.
They have released this concert on a double album called "Let Us Burn", along with the majority of their latest studio album performed live (there's also an edition that features a DVD/BluRay) :)

This is not-fully concert. Some tracks are missing such as "Never Ending Story", "Summertime Sadness", "Memories", "Our Farewell" etc. I was there. It's an incredible feeling! P.S. I caught a Ruud's wristband ;)
Within Temptation is the best band from this time. Sharon is a Goddess!!! So perfect live!!! And for the non believers that she is playbacken, no she is just that good.

I don't know why they were hesitated to publish this masterwork. I am actually prefering the live versions in favour to the album version of their songs. If I ever invent a time machine, I would go to this concert.

The sound associate with this concert is perfect. You can hear every section of the orchestra, but it is so well done that it doesn't distract from the drums, guitars, and bass, not to mention Sharon's voice! I would have loved to be at that concert. It looks electric!

The more i listen , the more it grows on me... first heard this band 2 days ago... great music , fantastic voice she has. They are in a League of their own.... few can follow... ahh well.. still have nightwish and old Kamelot there too... but still.. not bad to be side by side with such bands..aii.
They have released this concert on a double album called "Let Us Burn", along with the majority of their latest studio album performed live (there's also an edition that features a DVD/BluRay) :)

Wow, Wow, Wow, this must be the best show on earth ever made. I mean Wow. Sharon and co are absolutely mesmerising. And to show this in the Sportpaleis in Antwerp is special. Studied there (what a great city). Great music will last forever!

I don't know why they were hesitated to publish this masterwork. I am actually prefering the live versions in favour to the album version of their songs. If I ever invent a time machine, I would go to this concert.
