Buu is one consistent entity. He has several forms, but they're all the same Buu. The different Shredders are all completely different entities. One's an alien, one's a demon. One's a human. They all just go by the same name.
There are two shredders the first is the original who allowed himself to be possessed by the demon and everybody knows that shredder. 2003 TMNT went on for 7 seasons. Season 6 was Fast Forward where the turtles get yeeted into the future. Season 7 was Back To The Sewers where they came back to their time but we’re dealing with a “Cyber Shredder” in Cyber space.

Sounds like the original Oruku Saki was a fool who didn't have a true purpose if all he was promised was wealth and comfort. The 2012 Shredder had better character development. He was basically Loki because he was the adopted son who always did the right thing but Hamato Yoshi was the arrogant loud mouth that goofed off and was a jerk. Just like Thor. It took failure and the responsibility of a romantic relationship/fatherhood to humble him. Whereas Saki gave into jealousy and anger. Unlike Loki he rejected any attempt to turn from villainy and kept getting obsessed more and more with gaining power to get "revenge" on Hamato Yoshi. That's more interesting as a backstory than that Utrom/Demon Shredders.

BY THE WAY Tengu Shredder comes from the Season called "The Lost Episodes" this was a season that they had been making before 4kids wanted them to put the Turtles in the Future & an episode was axed because they deemed it too violent. The TMNT show ran from 2003-2009. I watched every single episode every week growing up. It was my favorite show as a kid. It was also my introduction to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So regular human shredder always seemed kinda pathetic to me compared to this guy who I grew up with. But I did learn to grow to love the idea of Oroku Saki and Yamato Yoshi having personal beef as two people, good storytelling in its own right. But the 2003 just kept going up and up. They fought aliens in Space, they fought in a multiversal tournament, heck they spent an entire season in the future. Now, talking about the Tengu Shredder. He wasn't the same as the Utrom Shredder. The Utrom Shredder took his name from old legends and used that to beef up his reputation. Also, the Tengu Shredder was kinda like an exciting side story they decided to do between season and it was really cool when it was coming out.
Quick recap: The kaiju that is the TENGU DEMON is known as as “The Shredder” but the OG Oroku Saki (2003) is seduced by greed and power, causing him to be a host and become one with the demon to become the REAL SHREDDER to the 2003 universe. Due to him getting demon powers, the gods gotta seal his ass away. Around that time, Ch’rell; the Utrom, caught wind of Oroku Saki/OG Shredder (2003) and stole his identity for himself and be The Shredder, an IMPOSTER (Utrom) SHREDDER. The 2003 series actually had multiple shredders. The Demon one was technically the first one. He possessed the OG guy. Then the Otrom shredder stole his mantle and impersonated him. When we start the series he was already the shredder for hundreds of years by that point. Then we had his daughter start being shredder and even a cyber shredder at some point. “The Shredder” is more of a mantle than a actual person, a mantle that multiple people have held (in the comics Raph even became the shredder). So thats why he deserves multiple seats over buu. Buu has different forms yes but thats all buu still.
There's a reason that tengu-shredders season was called "The Lost Episodes". As a side-note utrom-shredder kicked all kinds of ass with reproductions of outdated Utrom tech occasionaly mixed with dimension x/triceraton tech, who else thinks he could have gave tengu-shredder a run for his money with modern utrom tech.

I mean, lets be honest, outside of MAYBE the 87 series*, the turtles have ALWAYS needed some bullsh*t to beat shredder. either someone jumping in to save them, or broke ass magic swords or whatever. in that regard, needing dragon forms is not really that far off brand. *you could probably make the argument for the 87 show as well, henchmen incompetence, faulty technology, etc. and to be fair, he glossed over or left out a LOT of stuff. it didn't play as bad as it seems here. this season was actually the darkest, most violent one. it was fucked. and to, the 87 series did something similar in the later seasons, with the turtle transforming into alternate forms, and this show handles that idea way better.
Tbf Demon Shredder also only had one Season whereas Utrom Shredder had 3 Seasons and a Movie later on. So he got more time to be considered a big Villain and one with a lot of buildup.
The diff is that Utrom Shredder wasn't really considered by the setting's "big dogs" to be as much a cosmic threat as Tengu Shredder. Utrom has more feats because he was able to fly under the radar allowing his activities on Earth to last over a thousand years, but make no mistake. Tengu Shredder would have been INFINITELY worse if he hadn't been put down early, and put down hard. He only had 3 years max to try his tyrannical shit, and if the Tribunal hadn't sealed him, he would have gone on to consume the universe before Ch'rell could. I will note that Ch'rell was more of a tactical mind than Tengu, if for no other reason than he's used to having to overcome his tiny stature. Tengu got stupid because he had the power to compensate for shit tactics.

Krang Shredder and Demon Shredder are two entirely different people as the comments have pointed out. Krang Shredder just yoinked the Shredder title and Oroku Saki's likeness. Krang Shredder only landed on Earth 800 years after Demon Shredder was sealed. Edit: Utrom is worse in terms of scope but most of his kills were indirect, and he had several seasons of lore, and several seasons to become a crash out to try and erase the multiverse. He also is a better tactician. However, Tengu Shredder is actively worse of a threat overall. Raw power wise he's terrifying, and unlike Ch'rell, Tengu takes actual pleasure from torturing for the sake of it. He drags out his fights because he's invulnerable to almost everything, and is cocky as well. He doesn't need strategy because the Tengu only needed to merge with Oroku Saki for his fighting skills because his magic power was already covered. Literally four others ascending to godhood and a long as heck ritual, and/or soul attacks from Hamato Yoshi (Splinter's master who was also trained by the Tribunal before he diverted his attention from Tengu Shredder to Utrom Shredder) can make Tengu Shredder actually lose. But that requires prep time and training that would have absolutely disappeared in 2003 if the Tribunal didn't decide to form, and Yoshi only could be summoned by his literal Pet Rat's adopted turtle children due to their familial connection. The ability to turn Earth to hell is really the only thing the Tengu Shredder has to do over multiple sessions, and he only is drawing that out because he's having fun being a menace cause he's a demon. Utrom Shredder is entirely about efficiency and obedience with a dash of cruelty and disregard for lives but incredible strategy. Tengu is literally here to mess with everyone his way. His mayhem on the way to Foot Clan HQ was literally casual blasts of energy on a floating stroll through the city. His hands are just giving passive side blasts to cause this mayhem, he's literally meming on New York for the laughs. The snake was literally just for fun, as was making Kurai fall for his father trick because he knew she was related to Utrom Shredder. Also, this was when Ch'rell was banished but before Fast Forward with future Shredder, Back to the Sewers with Cyber Shredder, and the TMNT movie with the multiversal erasure once 1987 Shredder brings Utrom Ch'rell back from exile.

I honestly didn't think he was going to put Tengu Shedder on the table because he was only a one season villain, his time was so short, he didn't do enough evil things for his season, and he was the final boss before the series end, the Turtle was at their most powerful, if you watch all the TMNT 2003 series than Tengu Shedder does made sense and remember this is a multiverse now, the multiverse start with 2003,at least Idk if they talk about multiverses prior and other new TMNT series made reference with different universes, I grew up on this series, I didn't watch the 1990 one where Shedder was just a human, watching this made me open to other series having different version of the Turtle, I can definitely said this version was my favorite I would say Tengu Shedder is more powerful but Ultrom Shedder being an alien and galactic terrorist was far eviler
At 33:55 the Turtles transform into Turtle-Dragons. At the very least I expected Leonardo to astral project his dragon to fight, given that was his unique ability among the Turtles during training. At most, all four turtles astral projected dragons; but actually changing into them…is god-level. Only the Ninja Tribunal could do that feat, and that was only after their YEARS of training. Basically there are 3 Segments to the '03 Series. The first, i think, 3 seasons were dedicated to Utrom Shredder (with the finale to him being in the 2009 crossover Turtles Forever which is where CJ pulled that how final exhibit from) but past that there are two more shredders because the series takes on a few changes. '03 had seasons dedicated to things called Fast Forward (takes place in the future and I believe is where Cyber Shredder appears first) and then its wrapped up in the twilight seasons with Back to The Sewer (if I remember correctly they go back to the present or something and that is where Tengu Shredder comes in, but I may be misremembering, it was a long time ago). Either way TMNT03 had a lot going on after Ch'Rell was sentenced to eternal exile, and the way the timeline of events work is probably that Tengu came first, then Ch'Rell, and then Cyber, but they just aren't shown in that order. (probably due to production reasons, or maybe they wanted it to be a big twist that Shredder is some sort of omni-temporal constant.)
Tengu happened after utrom shredder was exiled to the ice planet fast forward happened the next season after tengu and back to the sewers is where cyber shredder came in the only plot point from that season I remember haven’t seen it in years
@@K.A.P_ if I'm remembering correctly, this season was supposed to take place after the Utrom Shredder's defeat and before the "Fast Foward" seasons but because of how dark the season was, 4Kids refused to air it and it went straight to vhs/dvd and 4Kids skipped to "Fast Forward" because it was more lighthearted. After they finished with "Back to the Sewers" CW4Kids went back and aired the final season with the Tengu Shredder on their Saturday block calling it "The lost Episodes".

The TMNT show ran from 2003-2009. I watched every single episode every week growing up. It was my favorite show as a kid. It was also my introduction to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So regular human shredder always seemed kinda pathetic to me compared to this guy who I grew up with. But I did learn to grow to love the idea of Oroku Saki and Yamato Yoshi having personal beef as two people, good storytelling in its own right. But the 2003 just kept going up and up. They fought aliens in Space, they fought in a multiversal tournament, heck they spent an entire season in the future.
Now, talking about the Tengu Shredder. He wasn't the same as the Utrom Shredder. The Utrom Shredder took his name from old legends and used that to beef up his reputation. Also, the Tengu Shredder was kinda like an exciting side story they decided to do between season and it was really cool when it was coming out.

The kaiju that is the TENGU DEMON is known as as “The Shredder” but the OG Oroku Saki (2003) is seduced by greed and power, causing him to be a host and become one with the demon to become the REAL SHREDDER to the 2003 universe. Due to him getting demon powers, the gods gotta seal his ass away.
Around that time, Ch’rell; the Utrom, caught wind of Oroku Saki/OG Shredder (2003) and stole his identity for himself and be The Shredder, an IMPOSTER (Utrom) SHREDDER. He became the one that the audience saw at the beginning of the show that we’re used too because of the familiar armor.
So it’s a matter of “wait, we’ve been following the WRONG Shredder the WHOLE TIME?!” Type of deal.
300s, Oroku Saki is a warrior who became one with the demon Shredder, anf Tengu Shredder rises and falls.

The 2003 series actually had multiple shredders. The Demon one was technically the first one. He possessed the OG guy. Then the Otrom shredder stole his mantle and impersonated him. When we start the series he was already the shredder for hundreds of years by that point. Then we had his daughter start being shredder and even a cyber shredder at some point. “The Shredder” is more of a mantle than a actual person, a mantle that multiple people have held (in the comics Raph even became the shredder). So thats why he deserves multiple seats over buu. Buu has different forms yes but thats all buu still.

As a side-note utrom-shredder kicked all kinds of ass with reproductions of outdated Utrom tech occasionaly mixed with dimension x/triceraton tech, who else thinks he could have gave tengu-shredder a run for his money with modern utrom tech.

and to be fair, he glossed over or left out a LOT of stuff. it didn't play as bad as it seems here. this season was actually the darkest, most violent one. it was fucked. and to, the 87 series did something similar in the later seasons, with the turtle transforming into alternate forms, and this show handles that idea way better.

Tbf Demon Shredder also only had one Season whereas Utrom Shredder had 3 Seasons and a Movie later on. So he got more time to be considered a big Villain and one with a lot of buildup.
The diff is that Utrom Shredder wasn't really considered by the setting's "big dogs" to be as much a cosmic threat as Tengu Shredder. Utrom has more feats because he was able to fly under the radar allowing his activities on Earth to last over a thousand years, but make no mistake. Tengu Shredder would have been INFINITELY worse if he hadn't been put down early, and put down hard. He only had 3 years max to try his tyrannical shit, and if the Tribunal hadn't sealed him, he would have gone on to consume the universe before Ch'rell could. I will note that Ch'rell was more of a tactical mind than Tengu, if for no other reason than he's used to having to overcome his tiny stature. Tengu got stupid because he had the power to compensate for shit tactics.
Scru plz keep in mind that when it's a fight for your life there are no rules. It's either you or them and 100% of the time we all choosing ourselves as the victor. I got a daughter waiting at home so imma win by any means cost.
Krang Shredder and Demon Shredder are two entirely different people as the comments have pointed out. Krang Shredder just yoinked the Shredder title and Oroku Saki's likeness. Krang Shredder only landed on Earth 800 years after Demon Shredder was sealed.
Edit: Utrom is worse in terms of scope but most of his kills were indirect, and he had several seasons of lore, and several seasons to become a crash out to try and erase the multiverse. He also is a better tactician.
However, Tengu Shredder is actively worse of a threat overall. Raw power wise he's terrifying, and unlike Ch'rell, Tengu takes actual pleasure from torturing for the sake of it. He drags out his fights because he's invulnerable to almost everything, and is cocky as well. He doesn't need strategy because the Tengu only needed to merge with Oroku Saki for his fighting skills because his magic power was already covered. Literally four others ascending to godhood and a long as heck ritual, and/or soul attacks from Hamato Yoshi (Splinter's master who was also trained by the Tribunal before he diverted his attention from Tengu Shredder to Utrom Shredder) can make Tengu Shredder actually lose. But that requires prep time and training that would have absolutely disappeared in 2003 if the Tribunal didn't decide to form, and Yoshi only could be summoned by his literal Pet Rat's adopted turtle children due to their familial connection. The ability to turn Earth to hell is really the only thing the Tengu Shredder has to do over multiple sessions, and he only is drawing that out because he's having fun being a menace cause he's a demon. Utrom Shredder is entirely about efficiency and obedience with a dash of cruelty and disregard for lives but incredible strategy. Tengu is literally here to mess with everyone his way. His mayhem on the way to Foot Clan HQ was literally casual blasts of energy on a floating stroll through the city. His hands are just giving passive side blasts to cause this mayhem, he's literally meming on New York for the laughs. The snake was literally just for fun, as was making Kurai fall for his father trick because he knew she was related to Utrom Shredder. Also, this was when Ch'rell was banished but before Fast Forward with future Shredder, Back to the Sewers with Cyber Shredder, and the TMNT movie with the multiversal erasure once 1987 Shredder brings Utrom Ch'rell back from exile.

I honestly didn't think he was going to put Tengu Shedder on the table because he was only a one season villain, his time was so short, he didn't do enough evil things for his season, and he was the final boss before the series end, the Turtle was at their most powerful, if you watch all the TMNT 2003 series than Tengu Shedder does made sense and remember this is a multiverse now, the multiverse start with 2003,at least Idk if they talk about multiverses prior and other new TMNT series made reference with different universes, I grew up on this series, I didn't watch the 1990 one where Shedder was just a human, watching this made me open to other series having different version of the Turtle, I can definitely said this version was my favorite

Basically there are 3 Segments to the '03 Series. The first, i think, 3 seasons were dedicated to Utrom Shredder (with the finale to him being in the 2009 crossover Turtles Forever which is where CJ pulled that how final exhibit from) but past that there are two more shredders because the series takes on a few changes. '03 had seasons dedicated to things called Fast Forward (takes place in the future and I believe is where Cyber Shredder appears first) and then its wrapped up in the twilight seasons with Back to The Sewer (if I remember correctly they go back to the present or something and that is where Tengu Shredder comes in, but I may be misremembering, it was a long time ago). Either way TMNT03 had a lot going on after Ch'Rell was sentenced to eternal exile, and the way the timeline of events work is probably that Tengu came first, then Ch'Rell, and then Cyber, but they just aren't shown in that order. (probably due to production reasons, or maybe they wanted it to be a big twist that Shredder is some sort of omni-temporal constant.)
Tengu happened after utrom shredder was exiled to the ice planet fast forward happened the next season after tengu and back to the sewers is where cyber shredder came in the only plot point from that season I remember haven’t seen it in years
@@K.A.P_ if I'm remembering correctly, this season was supposed to take place after the Utrom Shredder's defeat and before the "Fast Foward" seasons but because of how dark the season was, 4Kids refused to air it and it went straight to vhs/dvd and 4Kids skipped to "Fast Forward" because it was more lighthearted. After they finished with "Back to the Sewers" CW4Kids went back and aired the final season with the Tengu Shredder on their Saturday block calling it "The lost Episodes".
