Dora Deliyska plays Franz Liszt's Un Sospiro in a live recital at the Bösendorfer-Saal in Vienna, Austria on December 10, 2009. Kindly recorded by Albert Frantz (www.key-notes.com).
This is one of the best interpretation (technique, tempo & especially delicate touch) of this beautiful piece. Ms. Deliyska's empathy with F. Liszt is amazing: she truly understands the meaning of his Un Sospiro.
@@doradeli Longshot. Could you, perhaps, convince Tina S to cover Un Sospiro? And thank you very much for you willingness to understand and play what Liszt wrote.
The wonderful pianist and the fantastic Bosendorfer are lucky to have each other here and to be able to give LISZT an incredible showcase on his 200th year. BRAVO to all THREE and warmest felicitations from the Philippines :)
Yes, this is exactly what he wanted!! Your playing alludes to the title (Un Sospiro - A Sigh) perfectly. The performance is indeed like an extended sigh of extasy...
Such a very beautiful piece, and from what I have heard, highly regarded by many artists as one of the most beautiful of the repertoire... and one, which I believe, must be performed on a Bosendorfer... for that hushed, muffled tone suggesting a dream.
Beautiful girl, beautiful piano, beautiful piece...you're killin' me! All you budding meastro's take note; slow down, soften the touch and...voila, amazing, isn't it, how this piece comes out just about the way Liszt intended it to! People love to try to impress by playing this 100 mph...speed ain't nothin' without class! Nice job. Who wants to take a gander at what this Bosendorfer lists for I wonder? :D
Whoa, I like that! I know how difficult it is to play ANY masterwork in a intimate concert-da-camera like THIS on a piano like THAT. (That's why I changed to church organ. It's EASIER!) 💙
Bravo!!! That was excellent!!!!! I like how you did the alternate ending, however, I was surprised you chose not to include the variation for the extension of the cadenza at measure 53. Not many people do, and I would like to know which one you would have chosen. :-) Keep up the great work!!!

It is indeed such a loss there aren't enough female composers to create the music that this mist-like type of a sound that is so oftenly met in female performers, including this one. As for the Liszt - well, no Liszt here whatsoever.
Very, very nice i wish i could play the second cadenza also that clear.. But im sorry to say that But this was never, i swear NEVER as good as hamelin. Butter its just Mythen opinion :)
One of the most beautiful piano pieces ever written and Dellyska services it beautifully. Sigh.

thank you, Eddie, Liszt stayed throughout the years as one of my favorite composers!

On the other hand I hear 'the sigh' at the end.. 5:43.. as a pleasant recollection of the music we just heard

Delightful that Dora Deliyska so dreamily displays the delectable dollops of derring do amid the adulation so very richly deserved!
@rpcjt many thanks from the three of us:)
I need to learn this. Apart from Paysage, the only difficult Liszt etude I can play is Waldesrauschen.
Dora.....Delizia!!!!
your vids are nicey
Quem não quer ouvir 'um suspiro?' só quem não se ama em espírito...
Esse suspiro diz tudo.Sinta_o seja bem-aventurado em entender ...se conseguir... vale a pena!!!
If I believed in reincarnation, I would say, she was Liszt reincarnated.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

What does that mean?
Interesting. More rubato than I normally like for this, but brings out a different side of the piece.

It’s very good... Better pedal-work would be good though...

Personally I feel more emotions coming from her play than Hamelin. So, for me I prefer her version.
Excellent Dora. Masterpiece!
