Just imagine 3 Michaels moonwalking backwards towards you with flames brewing in they hands. The whole idea of this was so cool it was pretty much independent of Michael, it was just cool even if you'd somehow never heard of Michael Jackson.
I think it's more that they're being hypnotically controlled by MJ's smooth moves & grooves that they just can't help it, but dance themselves to death.

I played this while visiting Toronto's Chinatown when I was very young and I remember thinking the graphics and sound were by far the best I had ever seen and heard at the time.

This game was one of the very few movie driven games to be good. For a movie about a celebrities ego, it actually excellent. Beats all other celebrity ego driven games by a mile (like Shaq Fu).

Yeah I had this movie on vhs as a kid as well. The movie wasn't that bad. Unfortunately the only way u could play this version is in the arcade in my days. The Sega home port wasn't nearly as good, but still pretty fun. Now someone has ported to emulators to play this version.
I do like that the three Michaels have different designs for their energy blasts as well as different colours. I also like the start of Round three(4:56) where two of the three Michaels have a start animation.

Finally played this last week. Such a sick game. I only ever had the Genesis game and never knew about the arcade version. Having played both now I still prefer the Genesis game but the animations in this are phenomenal given the time. Also. MJ didn't do it. He was killed because he owned 30% of the industry he was in. He pissed alot of people off and who ever did this to him just made 2 billion dollars and will continue to profit off all the things he owned.

This game was innovative for me because of the 3 player mode. I played a lot 2P games at that time like Bad Dudes and Double Dragon, 4P games like the landmark TMNT and Vendetta, but never a 3P game. A difficult game as they are supposed to be, good call by Michael.

Used to LOVE this game at the arcades as a kid! Always never have enough quarters. I never found it odd he had flames and turned into a robot. lol

This game is loud i can heard a mile in arcade store when im playing with friends. Definately a history of arcade in 90s 😊
