👀 Cetatea de pe teritoriul satului Dăbâca ar fi fost, conform cronicarului anonim al regelui Béla al IV-lea, reședința voievodului Gelu, de la al cărui nume s-ar trage numele satului Gilău.
În secolele X-XIV a jucat un rol important în istoria Transilvaniei.
K. Hodor, care a descris în 1837 ruinele cetății, presupunea că a fost ridicată pe locul unei cetăți dacice . Alte teorii susțin că cetatea ar fi fost ridicată parțial peste o mai veche așezare datată din secolele VIII-IX.
👀The fortress from Dăbâca village was, according to the anonymous chronicler of King Béla IV, the residence of the voivode Gelu, from whose name the name of Gilău village would be derived.
In the 10th and 14th centuries it played an important role in the history of Transylvania.
K. Hodor, who described in 1837 the ruins of the fortress, assumed that it was built on the site of a Dacian fortress. Other theories claim that the fortress was partially built over an older settlement dating from the VIII-IX centuries.
