    Every 4weeks is the way to clean regular....4weeks times by 12 = 48weeks...take 2weeks for Christmas and 2 for summer make up your 52 week calendar year😀...I do a few big houses every 8weeks but they are over priced abit so I don’t mind...Nice vid👍

      Cloth Man! Thanks. My schedule isn’t as precise as that. With the extra services I offer I’m always getting asked to do other things, which I like as it’s where I make money. I don’t get too behind though, my customers know I will be round soon enough.😃👍🏼

    Really good advice, many points I have developed in the 11 years I've been cleaning for so it's nice to see similar methods from someone else in the trade.

    I like your videos most informative. I've just bought the sky vac atom, a good little machine. The reason I got it was ladders can get to every area. Plus its dangerous. Anyhow I was .most impressed on how you carry out your work. All the best. John A Jenkins

    If new jobs are really dirty I charge a higher one off price to get them clean but offer a lesser price for periodic maintenance cleans thereafter, this is discussed in the quote. Obviously if the windows, frames etc are fairly clean I only quote a maintenance clean price.

    Hi Ashley do you charge any extra for 6 and 8 weekly cleans as they can be a pain when they clash with your regular monthly customers and also the windows are dirtier. Thanks

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gordon S All my work is either monthly (5wk) or every 2months (10wk). I have a few that are done every 3months but I try to discourage that, and that’s when I would start charging a bit more.😃👍🏼

    have a question what is the best was to price an apartment block say 5 floors and 30 windows across on all floors all the way around and 2 stairwells glass from top to bottom

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Work out how much per drop/ column of windows. So let’s say you charge £1 for the ground floor, £2 for the one above it, £3 for the one above that, and so on. Then go round and count the number of drops/columns in the block.😃👍🏼

    Hello Ashley
    Unless you need the work or you are building a round this is the wrong way to go regular cleaning not every now and again.
    I think you did compromise your price you've gone from £25 every month to £12.50 a month
    By the time you take holidays and bad weather in to account you may do 4 cleans a year.
    The customer won't get used to having nice clean Windows or to seeing you, each time you turn up they probably wonder who you are.
    They will have dirty Windows for 8 to 9 weeks at a time.
    The Windows only stay clean depending on the weather for 2-3 weeks then the dirt starts to build.
    Only my opinion my family as been cleaning Windows since 1984
    We work every 4 weeks 10 to 11 cleans per house per year with holidays and weather taken into account
    That one house you get £100 to £125
    I get £250 - £275
    I need less customers
    And not a customer who spends most of the year with dirty Windows and as soon as they need to cut anything it's the window cleaner as we don't notice what they do anyways
    Thanks Andy

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      andrew kerrigan I make my recommendation to the customer and then it’s up to them. I need more customers to fill my time but actually that means more potential for being asked to do additional jobs. So I don’t mind.😃👍🏼

      If you're building your work any job will do 😁
      On a long term basis
      if you have dirty Windows most of the time you wouldn't notice when there Clean
      If your Windows are cleaned on a regular basis you notice when they start to get dirty
      People know when I will Be there every 4 weeks same day if possible 9 times out of 10 i will be there on the same day
      10- 12 weeks down the road nobody's got a clue when I will Be there
      I've got customers who've said my window cleaner came every 2 months
      3-4 cleans down the road and they expect me every 4 weeks nice clean Windows and frames all the time
      I never want to know any other window cleaners price
      I have my price and my time frame
      Regular reliable
      That's how my family as been cleaning Windows for the last 35yrs
      All the best
