You could have sued them for false advertising because they have to honor the advertisement.
Charging more than advertised is a scam which is why you can sue.
Your right she had no choice but to let him have the room if it was me I'd have threatened to report her . He paid for the room she had no right to change it in any way it was her mistake . Personally I'd have insisted on the room I'd paid for !! As for the hotel in general that place needs reporting regardless that place is disgraceful 😐
It's not false advertising if it's an honest mistake, the prices DO NOT have to be honoured, same way that stores in the past that fucked up on prices, say Tesco, Asda, etc, did not honour sales.... because they don't have to and they'd be making a loss on each product sold at the mistaken price.

@@thefiestaguy8831 Refusing to let him stay in a room because he's a single man, can be argued to be discrimination on the grounds of gender. Courts have repeatedly upheld that if a hotel room is available it must be able to be booked by anyone.
People have successfully sued hotels for not allowing a patron to check in with an army ID, refusing to allow a gay couple a double bed, refusing to allow an unmarried woman etc.
The price issue is one thing. Making him change rooms because it's a family suite is very iffy business practice from that hotel owner.

Went on a school trip here! The exact same hotel! OMG memories. I got a room to share with two other lads and to start off the door to the room wouldn’t open any further than 45 degrees because of the way the door closer had been mounted.
Secondly the toilet was blocked up before we’d even used it.
At the time I didn’t really think about it but now the school really did cheap out on things
