I want to thank people like you for helping out people like me by offering freebies. When you are on a limited income, you rarely have any money left over to make your life a little more enjoyable by being able to make things that take your mind off of your misery and actually give your heart joy seeing your finished product and thinking about whom shall give this one too.
So thank you ever so much for these wonderful creations and a giving heart dear lady.
I appreciate that - Thank you :) xx
@@carol.tinson-paper.craftsI must second this. Especially at the moment with the horrendous financial squeeze from petrol, insurance, food, mortgages etc. a kind gift like yours is so much appreciated 😊
Those little button booklets would make such a gorgeous gift with some buttons, needles & a bit of matching thread & scrap of ribbon or lace.
They sure would Alison -I set thee a challenge!! On your marks, get set .......... lol :) xx
These are very, very lovely. The thread you are using looks like crochet cotton size 3 or size 5. The greater the number, the thinner the thread. One thing I do when sewing on buttons or sewing through paper, is run the thread between my thumb and a small piece of hand soap. This makes the thread glide through the holes more easily and is helpful for people who have less hand strength. Holes can be made around the edge of the card by sewing with an unthreaded large needle, or a pokey tool, and then crochet Can be added or simple whip stitches, running stitches, etc. There are products for purchase such as beeswax, for example, for “conditioning” thread, but small soap slivers or the tiny hotel soaps work very well. And if they are scented, they make your tool box or sewing kit smell nice. LOL
Thanks for tips Patricia Im sure many will find them useful :) xx
Whatever you do Carol turns out to be fantastic. Creative and inspiring! TFS! And thanks for the freebies!

Nice work. Pretty, yes. I also like the Tombow glue in green bottle. I don't see many using it, and I wonder why. I also have the Tombow in blue bottle. I don't know which one to use for what. Trying to find the right glues for the right things is something that seems to be ongoing for many of us.
Thanks -I have a video on the glues I use and why - search Carol Tinson Glue - you may find it helpful :) xx
Love your idea with the button holes. How I never thought of that, I had to laugh at myself.
That Aha moment always leaves us wondering why we never thought of it before lol :) xx
These are so unique and pretty button cards. TFS!
Lovely button cards! I am a sewer and I also have a lot of vintage buttons - although I love the paper ones, too. Will definitely be adding these to some journals. ❤

Just wanted to say hello! You’re such an inspiration Miss Carol.
Not just for creative mind. We’ve both been on mental/physical health journeys. After my mom passed (I was her full time caregiver) nearly a year ago, I was bottoms up.
I see you coming back and pushing through. I know it’s not easy, but you’re doing it!
I’m back to work for a few hours a week in the outside world.
I’m not seeking sympathy, I just wanted you to know how I admire your strength and determination to keep putting one step in front of the other.
❤️
Even through the darkest of times there is a light ahead of us and all we can do is keep taking one step at a time towards it - hugs xx

luv these diy buttons!!
Hi Carol. I loved your buttons. I am fortunate to have in my possession, a Martha Stewart punch which punches 4 hole buttons. I also have an embossing folder which embosses buttons. So I will definitely have a little play around. I'm thinking also a light touch of glossy accents to make them shine might be a nice touch. I found your video quote by accident, stayed, watched, loved and have become your newest subscriber. Thanks so much. 😊🇨🇦
Well welcome aboard Brenda and have fun playing with your ideas :) xx
