This movie is a very thought out representation of masculinity and its forms in different people. There's a review on yotube that extensively talks about this movie I forget the name of the channel rn. But this movie and that review kinda changed my outlook on masculinity and life in general. So this movie has a special place in my heart.
Yep,the moral is masculinity is definetly needed in this society,but masculinity could turn toxic and that could hurt people around them.the movie teaches that ,every guy needs to have some feminine traits (the traits that society says are feminine like being a little soft at times,crying to get out of emotional period etc)
Having no privacy, especially for the younger ones, was/ still is a very common thing in an Indian family. They just exaggerated to make it entertaining in that 'Shammi peeping into the sister's at kitchen' scene.
Def you guys should watch more Malayalam movies. I believe its what the majority wants and along the way you will find many hidden gems you never knew that had existed. So its a win win situation😊😊

To have a neighbour whom we were scared of, or were very angered about "was" a very common Malayali/Indian/Asian thing I guess. I'm 25. Times have changed. It's not the same for the kids in my area anymore. Because we are the uncles whom we feared back in days. And the only thing I'm proud of my generation getting aged is that, our generation is correcting and blocking the cycle of a hell lot of generational traumas we collectively used to handover just to keep the culture unbroken 😂
