Hi Jody, you think that’s funny... First time I learned to moon-walk was when my dad wanted me to help push our car up a steep driveway. We walked forward while the car was pushing us back 😳😁😁
Brilliant. I'm 61 and I am definitely going to learn from this excellent instruction. Thank you so much and hope you're well. Greetings from England. Keep on dancing!

Thanks for the awesome videos!! So glad universe brought me to u on youtube!! ❤️🙏
I've watched 3 other tutorials, this is the best by far. She breaks it down analytically and might add, superbly. It reminds me of when i was in high school and in Gym we did the (?) dance, four 8 ft long bamboo poles criss crossed and we had to hop dance all the way around. Tap tap on the floor then smash together. Each rotation got faster and faster. Can't wait until my feet shuffle and so they can do their thaaang again. Thanks for the Hreat instructions.

I feel ya! I'm 56 and am still crazy on the dance floor, but it is harder to learn new steps - but keep at it because it's great fitness and great for our aging brains? (What's my name again?)
Hey Emylee! For 2021 I have kept one of my resolutions by learning how to shuffle. So far I have watched this video and followed along three times. It's not as easy as I thought it would be, but I will watch this a few more times once I get the hang of it. Now I just need to find some good shuffling shoes that I can wear when I practice and shuffle on a wooden floor.
Thank you for posting this video. You have a new subscriber. Keep up the great work. I can dance really well. I’m old school 🏫 dancer. But can’t do the new kind of dance 💃 they do. The shuffling 🎉 dancing. Now I know how to. This 57 year old man. Is very happy now..
Some of the basics to this I was doing in the 90s in Nighclubs, the Running Man for sure, there was also a criss cross variant where one leg would cros infront of the other and back again, and also the backwards running man. One of the best dance track of the time for this was Rythm Device's 'Acid Rock' and also LFO, the amount of contortion the body would do dancing to LFO is insane, sucha good track to just let the body flow.
By far the best tutorial video I’ve seen. I’ve been wanting to try it, so thank you for such a great tutorial! Love your sweet personality and positivity!
Thanks Emylee for breaking these steps down because you explain and demonstrate them so much better than some videos I've seen ( and no offense to the others because everyone learns differently and there still good) i just like how your video is so easy to understand and thank you for this because I've always wanted to learn how to do the new age shuffling and thanks i can't wait to start practicing yes! Good luck to everyone and God Bless all
Thank you very much! Clear teaching and demos. I learned the T step from you. I still need to work on the running man now. I will be back to watch again. AND YES....please teach us more steps!
I’ve wanted to learn how to shuffle for so long! Everytime i’ve tried to do it tho I just decide that it’s too hard and quit and then do the same thing after a while. Now I really decided to try and with your help I already managed to do the running man some how! Thank you so much
I had to laugh when I saw the comment below, because I'm 75 and started taking lessons from Emylee today. I used to dance on roller skates at a skating rink when I was a teen, and had so much fun dancing with girls. Now roller rinks are almost all gone. Wouldn't it be cool to learn to shuffle dance on roller skates! Thanks Em for the lessons.😊🛼🛼 "YOU ARE A GREAT TEACHER!!!" All my love, Bill.
I've been doing the moonwalk and walking sideways since I was probably about 3or4 yrs old, and by the way, I'm a year older than Michael Jackson, so long before anyone saw him do it. My uncle taught me actually. But I never cared to for the Running Man,... until it became this shuffle. It's a blast... except I'm 64 now with terrible health problems and can barely balance myself anymore. Although I still dance on occasion, but usually with a cane or holding onto something next to me for stability. But the raw talent never left, and I'm still da bomb. Still seriously good and keeping up with the dances from around the world. Keep me young at heart 💜
You are the best. I'm studying and learning running man just before my 73rd birthday. If I keep my hand on a wall to. keep my balance, I can do it! And my balance is getting better and better. In a week there will be no wall. This is hugely fun for somebody my age, which is why I've undertaken this challenge. Just as a note to my juniors--. Your early 70's means you are young, really. Most people don't know this about your 70's. My brother is 76, has one leg, and still wins. national canoe races.
Super, Emylee! Good stuff and inspiring. I’m easily three times your age and I’m gonna learn these steps-and look for more of your videos! You convey fun and enjoyment; excellent!!
Maybe this explains why the running man is so difficult for me. In my own line of dancing it is forbidden to ever have you weight centered between two legs. So I automatically position my weight above one or the other foot. I'm going to pay extra attention to this. Thank you!

hotsawce I just enjoy watching the shuffle and currently cannot sleep which is very annoying but this comment here just made my week lol
bizzy247 , I had the ankle mobility until I tried this, now I’m in a Zimmerman
I’ve always been able to do these moves easily but have awful rhythm and had a hard time applying them to music. With your help breaking them down and the count down dance-along. I finally did my first shuffle to actual music!!! It felt so good thank you
Watched quite a number of videos and was going to give up. Finally get what's going on after watching! Thanks for the tutorial! 👍🥳❤
Hey, I did all those moves when I hit an ice-patch on a sidewalk and just wanted to stay upright 😂
Susan Smith this cracked me up. Here in Canada that happens a lot!! 🤣
Hi Jody, you think that’s funny... First time I learned to moon-walk was when my dad wanted me to help push our car up a steep driveway.
We walked forward while the car was pushing us back 😳😁😁
😂😂😂 lmfao, there's always one comment that cracks me up on a video
Susan and Jody mine required hospitalization.
Why there's always a comment to lol
I'm 71 and I also am going to shuffle it! Love your work/fun!
This helped me so much I stopped shuffling for a while and I’m getting my groove back!!
I was looking for card tricks but this turned out to be much more fun. Thank a bunch for this you're awesome!
😂😂😂 I appreciate this comment lol
Brilliant. I'm 61 and I am definitely going to learn from this excellent instruction. Thank you so much and hope you're well. Greetings from England. Keep on dancing!
This is exactly the kind of in-depth tutorial I need:p
This is super challenging at first!! But I’m having so much fun learninn shuffling with you!! Love your way of teaching and putting it with music makes it feel so kich better even when i’m just hopping around!! This is day one!! gonna practice at least 10-15 min or more a day!! Commitment!! Thanks for the awesome videos!! So glad universe brought me to u on youtube!! ❤️🙏
I love this Running man. i never have been able to do moonwalk properly. Emylee, you are amazing Sister!
I’ve been hitting the floor so hard the lady that lives downstairs yelled “knock it off”
I am 60 years older I went to the best clubs in the 80s. Al ways love dancing the night life. Thank you for tour video is an inspiration to live by dancing.
BEST
SHUFFLE

EVER
thank you . Soooooo helpful
Just discovered at 53 that Im not the dance demon of old days when I was doing disco splits and the worm. And Ill think Ill start with dumping 40 lbs of extra weight lol #dadbod
And doing this, you’ll shuffle off the extra pounds while having a lot of fun!
I'm 72. Was thinking more in the line of 40 years! I've discovered that I respond quite well to a pat on the ass by the younger women. Crap...they are all younger!
I feel ya! I'm 56 and am still crazy on the dance floor, but it is harder to learn new steps - but keep at it because it's great fitness and great for our aging brains? (What's my name again?)
I'm with you David. 50 and overweight but love to dance.
Just so you know, it's not a dadbod, its a Father figure. ROFLMAO
I’ve watched a gazillion running man tutorials and yours is the only one that makes sense. I CAN DO IT NOW! Thank you!
i just learned how to land on my nose without trying to stop the fall. Anyways, you're really good instructor.
Oh nooo
Lmaooo
So how the progress going?
Good luck to everyone and God Bless all
After doing this for an hour I got addicted to water 😂
After doing this I discovered water

Thank you very much! Clear teaching and demos. I learned the T step from you. I still need to work on the running man now. I will be back to watch again. AND YES....please teach us more steps!
Yes! We want more tutorials like this!
I’ve wanted to learn how to shuffle for so long! Everytime i’ve tried to do it tho I just decide that it’s too hard and quit and then do the same thing after a while. Now I really decided to try and with your help I already managed to do the running man some how! Thank you so much
awe you're so welcome! :)
@@EmyleeRatzlaff : thank you , thank you, thank you ! Very good & clear explanation. Merci, merci, merci !
Glad you're teaching the transitions as well!! It's super useful :D
WHEN SOMEONE ASK ME HOW TO SHUFFLE, I BUST OUT A DECK OF CARDS
Lmfao
I remember when jokes like this used to have us dying in like 2010-ish
JUNEORJUNE 😆
Lmao
Unfortunately, I ALSO Suck at Shuffling Cards. NO 😆COORDINATION!!!
This is how I am spending my me time during my kids nap ...I think I'm ready for da club
Wow…definitely go on… nobody else explains these in detailed & slowly for an easier performance.. Thank you so much
*Me while listening to a good beat* : Tries to perfect a simple Running Man
*Me after 4-5 steps* : Starts dancing like Jean Claude Van Damme
Love this video! This is the first video I have tried that I actually have hope to be able to shuffle! Thank you gf!
You are an amazing tutor!!! I am 52 and love learning because of the way you are teaching.
Super grateful for you releasing a few tutorial bits and pieces on youtube as well ^_^ The way you taught this was *very* good
Ah, my upstairs neighbor's youtube channel

Awesome. Wife and I can’t wait to use it next month at my 50th class reunion!!!! We both love to dance!! 🌹
Thank you for being so awesome and explaining it so simply!!! Loved your demo! It truly inspired me! You’re a legend!
That was cool. I enjoy watching shuffle dancing now maybe I can try it!
Who else is trying to discover a talent that doesnt exist? :D
MeeeeeeeeeeEeEEeEe
Meeeeeeeeewe!!!! This too hard
Bruh, I love edm, and this is just good to go with it.
Fr😆
Me xD
Just turned 70. Love this schuffle stuff. Hope to blow my kids and grandkids away with the “old dawg” learning new tricks 😂
After 15 minutes
"Mom I'll need new socks"
Lol XD
After five minutes at my age, I need new knee replacements..
Me after 15 Minutes:
„Mom I'll need a Doctor“
Emylee; I AM 74. YOU MADE IT SO EASY TO FOLLOW YOUR STEPS. THANK YOU!
Was drunk last night and I don't even know how but I just started popping shuffle moves
GREAT!!!!
or you think you did
Lol hope nobody recorded u bro
I really like this tutorial. Easy to follow. I'm definitely going to practice this.
Just loved running man by watching your tutorial, trust me I am very bad with dance but your basics made it simple.
Thank you mate
Maybe this explains why the running man is so difficult for me. In my own line of dancing it is forbidden to ever have you weight centered between two legs. So I automatically position my weight above one or the other foot. I'm going to pay extra attention to this. Thank you!
Same problem! In Taekwondo (Martial Arts), we are forced to always put weight on our back leg! lol

Emylee is cute and a great instructor on shuffle dancing. I'm taking it up - become a serious shuffle dancer!
