How about RBG LED with programmable driver via apps on cellphone through Bluetooth? Wireless conduction charging. Composite materials for lighter weight. Vapor Deposition Chamber Cooling for better heat dissipation.

As an outsider looking in, it would appear not much has changed in the last 4 years. Things I'm surprised I don't see much if at all:
    • Custom input mechanisms beyond clicky switches and twisty (exception: HDS rotary and Cool Fall)
    • Fancy cooling systems such as liquid or heat pipes to enable longer runtime at high lumen levels
    • Easier programming (exception: Lux-RC web based programming via light sensor in flashlight)
    • More powerful programming (e.g. choosing what click, press-and-hold, and double-click do)
    • Innovative multi-emitter designs with custom optics that let you switch between spot and flood
    • Qi2 wireless charging
    • More distinctive shapes made possible with lithium polymer batteries

I like the way the surefire looks the most out of what you have there. Lol. I went from Fenix to surefire to cloud defensive. I am blown away with the quality of the cloud defensive.

Somewhat akin to PC overclocking it was a small niche of users that now the major makers accommodate and actively market their products to. For me its been there done that.
I own what you describe as custom flashlight, more than 1 maker however I like to use mine i can see why others would not however.
To each their own at the end of the day any review is just that persons opnion, you dont have to agree.
I like the content provided by many online platforms as it adds variety.

Copper serves more function than any other metal since copper decipates heat throughout better than any other metal so a copper flashlight would be more effective than a aluminum or ti

Javier Lopez For heat dissipation purposes, yes, you are correct. However, copper is also highly malleable and overtly heavy which rules out practical use in most flashlights. It’s generally reserved only for very small flashlights in this regard. That’s why aluminum and titanium are colloquially more desirable. Hope this helps! ;)

If you want my honest thoughts? I don’t think it’s anything special. Just another fancy host cramming a Dragon driver in. Probably C grade taking into account the price.
