What's crazy is I remember them from Knocked Up and thought (mind you I was 24 when that movie came up) this is just an exaggeration. Then I watched this movie when it came out and was still optimistic about healthy relationships. Now that I'm 41, I completely get Pete (mainly because I'm twice divorced now) and truth be told, I can empathize with Debbi (even though she projects, cuts down, and is demeaning to her husband).

Realistic portrayals of typical couple arguments in 'financial causes' scenarios. Q/A - Where did each one of them go wrong and what should they have done instead?
Debbie: That's because Simon writes the fucking songs. He's the better one!" Me: And that's because somehow you think you're better than Pete is, is that it? That you think you "know better" when you clearly don't. Hmm...I don't know about that.
This is such an accurate scene…..know how I know? Because the husband is bringing in all the income while the wife doesn’t bring in any, yet has the nerve to complain

This was scary accurate. Most of us have had these marital fights. If you haven’t, you’re the lucky ones.
I would argue that if you haven't had these kind of fights, you haven't been in a real relationship

hahaha that is so scary accurate
I love the way Paul Rudd cusses
This is a couple living WAY beyond their means. 4/5 times it comes down to money. Interesting performances.
Being financially incompatible kills a ton of relationships, and it doesn't help that they don't communicate well with each other at all.
I really needed this. I realize I'm perfectly content being single.

Cringe... Did you miss all the heartwarming moments between them, especially in the end?
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 It's a movie. This doesn't represent real life AT ALL. Stay single.

Leslie is a highly underrated actor.
The Simon and Garfunkel example was good

This sounds like my sister and her husband so much I got uncomfortable. Then went back to laughing 😂
I can’t believe people never bring up his cholesterol being 305. That is fucking terrifying!
Paul rudd is literally rude😂
Derek Dietl before Scott Lang
Jamie Lockwood before Linda
Paul Rude…?
At first the clip was funny and I was going to send to my wife and then realized it’s way too accurate and decided not to. 😬
She's right
The budget counts.
Nah, giving away money without a discussion is big NO NO.
IKR. That doesn’t even make sense to lend his dad money while his record company is flopping and they are still paying the mortgage. Duh!
According to who?

They patched things up by the end, so why divorce? ''war of roses'' - not funny, in fact any comparisons with war in general isn't.
