The new ones have a one-way clutch with instant anti-reverse Edited: I spoke too soon…not sure which reel I was thinking of. The anti-reverse mechanism is different but not a one-way clutch (OP60D) 😅
How the heck did you figure out how that spring was suppose to seat when it fell out when you initially took the reel apart? I'd be there for 2 days figuring that one out , and then have to text you for help🤣
I think I put the quantum optic 60 back together correctly but now the reel clicks when I turn the reel handle. Everything works properly it seems. Any thoughts?
My guess is that it would be a spring associated with the A/R assembly under the rotor. It may not have been set correctly. Is the A/R working properly or sporadically? I would remove the rotor and check that first - Dennis
@@2ndChanceTackle Yes, that was the problem I was having. AR was sparatically working. It now works all the time. The spring was mostly off when I took it apart so I didn't know exactly how it went back on. Your vid helped me on figuring it out. The clicking is now like the some of the older reels. Not sure if you have a vid of fixing the AR. Prob will take apart again. Oh, the hearing fell off from under the reel cover. Wasn't sure which side is up. One side was recessed and I placed that facing up.
Excellent video!
Very thorough job!
YW - thanks for the note and for watching - Dennis
Quantum has eliminated the anti reverse override on the new Optix's and that's a deal killer for me !
It's cheaper to eliminate the switch. Manufacturer's figure most people don't use it, so the eliminated it and saved a very pennies - Thanks - Dennis

I don't know. Just a lucky guess from years of guessing incorrectly! Thanks
Where can i buy that spring? My fall off and disappear. 😢

There is a normal clicking with the A/R ratchet and dog movement. That is not an issue
@@2ndChanceTackle OK, thanks. Barry
Cool
Thank you
@@2ndChanceTackle you’re welcome Dennis
