Hi Rachel, The kitchen is coming together beautifully. 08 I agree with one of your viewers, the mirror is hung too low. The artwork and the mirror both need to be raised. Crown molding on the ceiling similar to the framing of the narrow cabinet would tie in the millwork well. Great job so far!!

Miss Rachel, the new additions are so lovely! I love the tongue and groove wall. May I suggest removing the door molding and making new doors for the skinny cabinet out of the tongue and groove? It would almost disappear into the wall and allow the mirror and artwork to shine. To my eye, the cabinet is more of a feature than I think you want. I also have to agree with others- the mirror and art work seem hung a little low, but if it were my kitchen, I'd hang blue and white plates over them to elevate the whole arrangement. I love your channel and the sweet, sweet way you have of expressing yourself. You are delightful!

The type of mill depicted: reminded me straight away of the famous "Golden Century" painting 'Mill near the city of Wijk bij Duurstede' (here in The Netherlands), painted by the 🇳🇱Dutch Master Jacob Isaacksz van Ruisdael, back in 1670. Which now is part of the Nat. collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. It will perfectly match any blue porcelain you'll choose to decorate your kitchen with. 👍🏻

Since you spent so much time designing the island counter top, with a rounded furniture edge; and the sink has the same soft edge. I would round the corner of your butcher block. I could see also a collection of cutting boards. I think a collection of at least 3 items or more will balance the mirror and cozy more like an English cozy kitchen.
I had a designer neighbor one time that did a wall of mirrors with all different frames but they had all the same finish like gold. It was beautiful! That’s what I thought you were going with. I like your idea too though. Thank you!

Wow what a blessing 🙏Rachel the stone countertop and back splash is stunning!! I love the edging. I am not a fan of the modern stone or marble type counter tops, but I now realise it's the squared off edges which I find harsh and ugly. I didn't realise you can cut those beautiful curved edges into it. What a difference it makes!! Also the mirror has the same curved edges at the top. I loved the fruit oil painting best. Perfect for the kitchen. There's only one thing I'd add, and it's the Laura Ashley wallpaper from your living area to above the cupboards where window is. Just across that tiny space at the very top. I think it would be tricky to do, but your husband is very skilled. Just a thought. God Bless that business for blessing you. I love how God works 💐🙏💖

Since we've wallpapered the dining room and there is already paneling on the wainscotting we'll leave that as is. But I do see us using the tongue-and-groove in several other places in our home. Miss Rachel, Your kitchen has evolved beautifully. If I may, I have a suggestion. Since you spent so much time designing the island counter top, with a rounded furniture edge; and the sink has the same soft edge. I would round the corner of your butcher block. Again, you and your husband have done an excellent job planning this room. Hugs💞
Ah, yes, hind-sight is 20/20. That is exactly what I would've done if I'd thought of it sooner. But for now, especially since we've been working on the kitchen since August 2022, we're both ready to tie things up in the kitchen. Good call!

It's coming along beautifully...in my small opinion, I would hang the mirror to where the bottom of the frame aligns with the butcher block counter. I agree with lmjo2980, if you raise the picture up to center, whatever you decide to place near the backsplash won't hinder the view. Possibly an African Violet...🥰

I had a designer neighbor one time that did a wall of mirrors with all different frames but they had all the same finish like gold. It was beautiful! That’s what I thought you were going with. I like your idea too though. Thank you!

Love the quartz counter! What a beauty. The bead board really did add the right texture to make the cabinet doors look more intentional. You are so clever. But I'll be honest, I'm stumped on curtains for my living room, so I can't wait to hear what advice you have for that in a future video. There really isn't much info on TH-cam about livinroom curtains in the English country style.

Wow what a blessing 🙏Rachel the stone countertop and back splash is stunning!! I love the edging. I am not a fan of the modern stone or marble type counter tops, but I now realise it's the squared off edges which I find harsh and ugly. I didn't realise you can cut those beautiful curved edges into it. What a difference it makes!! Also the mirror has the same curved edges at the top.
I loved the fruit oil painting best. Perfect for the kitchen.
There's only one thing I'd add, and it's the Laura Ashley wallpaper from your living area to above the cupboards where window is. Just across that tiny space at the very top. I think it would be tricky to do, but your husband is very skilled. Just a thought.

We really like the depth the tongue-and-groove added to the kitchen. Since we've wallpapered the dining room and there is already paneling on the wainscotting we'll leave that as is. But I do see us using the tongue-and-groove in several other places in our home. Glad you like the mirror! It was just the perfect style and size! Have a lovely weekend!
