Wonderful explanation and Thank you! I've got a Hoover upright model UH71250 and it started making that noise within months~brand new! Hoovers are supposed to last I thought, lol. I spent an hour and half cleaning, looking, etc and still makes noise. SO frustrated that I'm going to have to buy a new one. FyI: it's over a year old now. I was so angry i just put it away and didn't vacuum until today. Loud as a machine gun! 😡😔
I have owned and still own many Oreck. Cleaning company so my go to. Many were Frankenstein. You are right about the filters. Majority of the orecks had no filters, simply air slits. Most of the time I use electric cleaner and clean out the motor. In fact, got 2 to clean and if motor still sounds like a 747, may trash it and get another. People sell cheap or give these vacs away. I wish oreck made aluminum fan housings. The number of vacs that have had cracked housings is unbelievable. Used Shark and dyson but the Oreck is always my go to. Just works better. Kirby? That old sucker pulls carpet tiles off the floor. LOL
OK! My loud noise sounds like it's the broken fan issue. I'm still speculating. So, what's the fan situation on the Hoover Smartwash? Yay or Nay? So Wayne...What's up with the pictures in the background if you don't mind me asking?
Hello I always enjoy your expertise knowledge on cleaning systems or appliances in general my question is which is better a bagged or a bagless vacuum because in Walmart Target Best buy cold Sam's club Costco you see a lot of bagless vacuums you don't find any bagged models anymore so that's why I was asking and I know you got a lot of Bissell fans out there who swear by Bissell I'm a Hoover fan I swear by Hoover but the quality is not there anymore it's like cheap plastic one guy told me they're throwaway vacuums but you paying high cost but you're just paying for that brand name what used to be a very reverence brand but I see people on TH-cam they still have old Hoovers and dirt devils and things that were made many many years ago but I guess it all depends on how you take care of your machines so I'm just asking which is better bagged or bagless also do you prefer a recommend the rainbow home cleaning systems just like your feedback thank you so much and will continue to watch
I’m a fan of the bagged. Vacuums. It seems to me that The bagless vacuums with all their convenience also come with their share of issues. It my only come down to personal preferences but to me the bagless is simpler and less maintenance issues. As for the rainbow, it’s a good vacuum for what is created for, which is hose cleaning, dusting and sweeping. The filtration system is ok at best. If the water filtration was really beyond everyone else, then there would be no need to a rear hepa filter which from my experience is always dusty with dust that the water filtration missed.

That’s true- I also prefer aluminum or Die-cast Aluminum
Clear description of issue Thank you!
You’re welcome
What about a kenmore canister vacuum making a loud noise? Cleaned, and checked for a clog.
where is the noise coming from the nozzle or motor. Does it make the noise even if the hose is disconnected

Don’t mind you asking. Those are my drawings.
I have a Tennant DMU from work. Works fine but LOUD like its stopped up. But its not
Sound like a fan issue. Try running it without any brush roll and see if it sounds the same.
Oreck is known for this aswell which I have
