I’m not here to reminisce. I’m getting drunk and remembering when I last heard this song some years ago. A friend of mine died of a suicidal drug overdose. He left behind a pregnant fiancé. I was around when she gave birth to the kids (twins) that he never got to meet. I consoled her for a long time and her and I grew attached to eachother. I fell for her, and she had me convinced that she felt the same. I even asked her to marry me and she agreed. It was quite some time before I came to the conclusion that she was only using me because she just missed him. I couldn’t entirely blame her for it, but it got to a point where I couldn’t be around anymore. As bitter as I am, you still have my heart ❤️
