I just found your channel this past week. So I'm not so sure I should say anything lol but you asked. I would wait a bit and really think what do we as a family NEED. Yes all the things you said and others was some great ideas but I feel like you need to see what fits your family best. I also thought if you do the "bedroom" then you shouldn't need any more sleeping areas. That would be 5 beds, so get a couch/love seat. If ya needed any more room for sleeping you have the couch/love seat or make a pilot on the floor. RV refrigerator would be the only appliance I would put in there and wood stove. I can't wait to see what you decide to do. You have plenty of time to see what fits best.
Good ideas! I guess the thoughts for more beds is we are a family of 14 still at home. Our large family friends would have 8 -16 children ☺️ I agree with time as well even the week since it’s been here has given me much more clarity. Thank you for your thoughts!
wow! smooth landing! its the sweetest little homestead cabin ever!! what fun! we have built several cabins ourselves. then we sold and moved to town. i and the mister speak of him building me a little pioneer cabin in our yard in the back. i dont really know what i would do out there. maybe it would be a guest cabin. we dont get company that much. it could be for when our son comes with his girls to visit. i thought of having a canning cabin. i thought of a spinning wheel cabin for my spinning. i dont know for u all.i am excited to see what u come up with. thank u for this. i havent had time to see some of your latest videos.the one i really want to see is canning 200 jars in a week. love your channel.

@@mommabear2many i dont have any animals. i got my three big bags of wool for free. Llama's were shorn at a place my sister was staying when they came to visit. i had her ask if they were gonna use the wool. they said no i could have it. that was years ago and i have not yet to spin it all up. i love drop spindles the best. excited to hear and see what u all do...thanks for your reply.
Oh girl, that place is great. My mind starting going crazy with ideas. Can’t tell good in video but could you put a ceiling in and have a complete upstairs? And out house would be great. I’m in central fl. You said you once lived in this area, I live in woods out in what is considered river ranch area. Dry camping is fun and I bet your company and kids would love it. Like you said it would be temporary situations. Have fun with it. Love you and your channel.
Not really tall enough for an upstairs. I know so hard to tell on video. Nice I miss Florida a bit. Especially mid winter lol. Also theres alot to do there like zoo, ocean ect.
My opinion, if it were mine. Leave it rustic, get woodstove back in. You can cook on it, look for used camper appliances. I'd do composting toilet outside for summer, portapoti inside for winter. I know my adult kids be fighting over the cabin! I would do it way I wanted, for my needs, company will be fine just having place to stay. My aunt passed several yrs ago, 3 of us stayed in hotel in Camden, 800.00 for 2 nights!
all great ideas ,but if family don't come often ,i think be great for older girls to study and chill out in there own space ,then let family stay when come up . he done a great job at dropping it off i was keeping fingers crossed it didn't snap lol , great space though maybe extend the back for a extra bedroom with a bath room
I would make it a sewing/ craft area hang out place for your older girls. I would definately do a composting toilet in an outhouse form there is a channel I watch called cluttered mother and tgey live off grid in the utah desert and they have a composting toilet outhouse situation. Maybe you could still do what you were saying about bunks in the back corner area to where if your kids came to visit with families it would be a functional place for them. Its a hard situation it would be nice to have the space usable for your family thats there but also to be multifunctional for guests to come visit. My ideal would be to blow out the back wall and add on an extra space but I am saying this and I have a huge atic that I wanted to turn into a extra bedroom and have yet to come up with the money to do that. I just have to many ideas for the space.

You can plant trees to have a natural fence. 😊

Maybe we actually talked about getting a bigger kitchen in the house so we can put our stove out there.

All over yard sales, walmart just depends I have been collecting for years. As I need more I get them. I'm fairly good now unless some break.
