+Rebirthsouls yea same here for me and my Brother, he died 3 years ago withut any sickness or anything, no cause of death ever found, he just died.., he would beat my ass almost everytime in this game, but the glorious duels and memmories still remains ^^
5:40 Split-screen, Hot Pursuit, Atlantica, 8 laps. It used to be me vs. my dad, or one of the few kids in the neighborhood who didn't have their own games. I remember this playing when you hit like 120+ on the straightaway right before the finish line.
2:21 Ahh the memories. Since the song would change depending on what section of the track you were on, i remember slowing down just so i can hear this part.
@@nadgamer381 Unfortunately there is not. I went through the raw game audio, other than multiple unused takes, there is no other audio. Even more difficult is that the audio is not meant to played in a straight line, it was also dependent on speed, position in the race, on the track, and if you were on the last lap. This was a very unique game with some amazing audio tech.
When 2:22 hits, I picture myself driving on a coastal road full of sweeping curves next to a glimmering ocean with nothing but bright, blue sky and a warm sun overhead. Magical.
Same! Funny thing I just noticed, if you look at the image for this track, and compare the size of the palm trees in the background to the buildings in front, they are GIGANTIC, like dinosaur sized! Looks like they added the buildings/road to possibly a stock image, but those trees look way too big.
Matt Ragan has a mix of part of this song on his FB where it's mixed slightly differently, so you can hear all the cool guitar parts and the pick-attack. Also, according to Matt himself, the term "Rear Flutterblast" is a flatulence joke.
Imagine how much fun they had recording these beautiful tracks? If this game was remastered id buy it Full Price! Like I did the original (it was my 1st ps1 game) lol
I'm not a big fan myself of the Rock soundtrack in this game, but this one is the exception. It is literally just as good as Aquila 303 and i love listening to both
+Júnior França to be honest the new nfs games all suck badly in my opinion, if they where to make remakes of these old games like this and need for speed porche and such, id deffinetly get em.
+gunnerthedenmark (sorry my bad english cause im brazilian) yeah, same here, dont like new NFS music... and the cars man, i love so much 90's cars design, Diablo SV and CLK-GTR are my dream ❤
Yes, i know what u mean, i lost my nfs 3 cd a long time ago, still, i play asphalt 8 on my ipad, while listening to nfs 3 music, this one goes great at the Dubai ( this track has the same underwater tunnel as Aqquatica ), Barcelona and French Guyana tracks.
3:29 - 3:50 -> orgasmic, breath taking epicness. Can you stop listening to it? I couldn't when I was a kid. 2:25 - 3:28 -> yes, it is lovely. 5:19 - 5:39 -> freaking badass ah the memories...
I don't know if I love this kind of music because I grew up playing this game or if one of the reasons I played this game was because I liked the music so much. There's not a single song in this game I don't like except for maybe Empire City although that one is interesting in its own right.
In my opinion , NFS 1,2,3 and 4 were the best NFS games. They had really good music to match the speed and excitement. The newer games try to appeal to the new generation of kiddies with the rap music and lame bands and no music to match the actual situations during the race. The newer games lack the exotics that most people will never get their hands on in real life. The newer games have cars that almost every spoiled college kid can get their hands on in real life, mods and all. 2FAST4U
+Silver X yea those where kinda overpowered :P, i remember once my game bugged and my Brother was alloved to use Ferrari ageinst the cops wich was not normally possible on playstation, it was wrecking through everything, literally drove through roadblocks like there was nothing there, i guess there was a reason why it was not normally alloved to be used there :P

Or like an updated graphics mode like they did for Halo CE anniversary. Same game, music, cars, tracks just an update to the graphics of the environment and cars.
2:22 This part hits hard, man!!! It feels like you driving down a road with palm trees surrounding you along with the big blue ocean on your right, the vibe is so strong which reminds me of Outrun
Reminiscent of the Monaco Grand Prix, this course is a real driver's utopia. Emphasis on racing technique will insure record times on this futuristic track.
Urban utopia now gives way to an exciting coastline driving experience. You have to possess superior driving skills to make good times on this formidable course.
Down the highway, followed by a route through the convention center or a detour to the coastal cliffside and underwater tunnel, race down the cruise ship terminal and resort, and back onto the highway.
The nostalgia!! I'm in the process of watching all of these videos! I used to play this game all the time when I was a kid. Thanks for the memories, you the real mvp 👊
I still have this game, brand new! Found it randomly one day for $30. My PS2 is on its last breadths after 18 years of service, but this game stays with me!
These comment sections all have more Childhood Memories than any number of PS1 Memory Cards can ever hold. And I'm just sitting here, wondering why I had to miss this era of games. I was born days after the ps2 dropped, so my first experience with a game was NASCAR 2003. Son. Of. A. Bitch.
Yes. Back when it wasn't some completely random not well thought out course in a city that's just seperated with a few borders and such, but a course in a whole city that's well thought out making it unique with lots of hazards, and cool scenery and not random corners and stuff at all!

true
That sounds like angels & airwaves pretty much

So beautiful !
Yeah
You can tell the drummer must have been having a blast recording this one!
The bass player too. Don't know if Matt Ragan played that too, but he's certainly a hell of a guitarist and composer.
99% sure the drums are programmed
RIGHT

yes me too, my favourite part
is it possible to find an extended version of this part ? i want to hear the full version ,if it exsists :P
