I was actually curious when I saw the 5mph speed limit on the approach to Newry Harbour and then I found out it is part of the new distruption events

I’ve seen the boat collision disruption at Eden Quay and the high winds at Newry Harbor, but I’ve never seen the Leighton zone flood.

I think instead of express going to Newry, they should’ve had Airlink go from the airport to Newry. This would make more sense and also allow for Airlink to go via benton.

not really, since why would you connect two stations where people arrive by plane and where people arrive by boat. having the two instead stop at benton makes way more sense.

Nice vid! Hot take but I think it would've been better for Connect to go to Newry and via Morganstown Docks instead of Express because it's more of a commuter line. Perhaps it could've been a class 68/444 exclusive route.

The one thing I don’t like is that how Express gets to Newry or Newry Harbour is that it access it via the Morganstown Shuttle tracks which lt limits capacity as Morganstown Shuttle runs there but not often but it does limits capacity the logical options of getting express onto the Waterline tracks without using the MT shuttle tracks is to
add another interlocking switch from Benton Bridge through Benton Junction and then have the switch set crossing the Eastbound tracks to Benton Bridge and connecting to the Westbound Waterline Tracks Before Benton and connecting the Eastbound Waterline Tracks to the Main Eastbound Connect and Express before the Benton Junction it would take a bit more time but at least heading Westbound on express passing Morganstown you don’t have to slow down so quickly and unexpectedly for the 30 mph speed limit onto the shuttle tracks just after Morganstown

Outside of Newry is a feather signal, and there are 2 tracks which go onto the 2 platforms. If you are heading on the left platform, there will be a white arrow above the signal, and a white arrow to the right, if you're going to the right. I hope this explains it enough.
