I remember interviewing Will S in the 90's on an SA radio station and I asked if I could talk to Ian as well and I remember Will saying "Oh, he doesn't do that" I wish I'd realised at the time how important Will was to the sound. But this was before the interwebz and TH-cam - just relying on 1 to 2 month old NME's for the info. No rocker bought Music Maker. I remember lining up to collect our R4 rifles in 1983 during the first of my 2 years national service and just having the lines "Happy death men stand in line..." running through my head.
well said @citizenjones01.."No rocker bought Music Maker..." in the UK we had Melody Maker as the main rival to the great NME and yeah no serious rocker bought that either hahaha
seen the bunnymen a few times, best one st George's Hall. totally underrated, fully inspirational & all music teachers should play them to the next generation. my 11 year old loves them.
we saw the bunnies at Sefton Park circa '82, it was a 'Lark In The Park' one summer day bash with Bowwowwow, i drove my brother and his mates, all serious punks, to it. To be truthful i think i was the only one to go solely for the bunnies, the others mainly went for Annabella
The bunnymen are still great all these years later saw them in 2014 for the upteenth time and it won't be the last, Liam Gallagher watch a real front man
2degucitas Lol! Yup! While Mac is the only one I've heard of using specifically Coke/orange juice, such things were definitely not unheard of. The punks sometimes used Elmer's glue and even egg whites to keep their 'hawks up. Ask me about the time Mac bought entire cases of his favourite hairspray when it was in danger of being discontinued! :-D
Ian should have never gone on his solo buzz & now I see him smoking while singing in '00 I know he's a gobshite. Disappointed 😥 I love Echo and the bunnymen.
Beautiful. I saw them in Sydney in the 1981's - a transcendent experience still etched in my memory.
Me too. At the Capitol Theatre, and then the Sydney Cove Tavern.
I was 15, huge fan. Mindblown!
This "old guy" says Thank you for this upload! Echo and the Bs...never grow old.
Saw them live in Minneapolis, & then years later, the Heaven Up Here tour in Chicago. So powerful live!

I was lucky enough to interview Mac once, and Will too on another occasion.

Love the Bunnymen, thanks for the upload!!
For sure. The bassist and drummer are HUGE part of the band. They were like the studs of the band.
One of my fave bands and my old school as well 1973-78
Loved the lads since I was a wee boy, 40 years ago. Ian is my spirit animal, amongst the zoo I've created he's a top animal!
Fantastic as the opening act for The Doors, at The Whiskey in '66. I think Jim really listened...
If they had been around then The Doors would have been the opening act. Same for The Beatles or even The Velvet Underground.
@@trevorloughlin1492 The Bunnymen...Are they still dragging it out?
Love the subtitles. The Bonnie Men have come home! Must be the Scots in Mac.😀

Could have been the best band in the world? They were, they are !
True fact
@Ernie H Not a chance, two good albums then Bono's ego got in the way.
@Ernie H The Joshua Tree just goes on and on and on, it's the most over hyped album of all time. It's dull.
@Ernie H But I have, all Bono's "off the cuff" speeches written by a speech writer, embarassing. I pay to hear a band live, not to see some light show
@@AndI0td763 the first five?? The fifth was a disaster and Ocean Rain was the worst of the first four.
I love echo and the bunnyman
One of the best bands ever. Sousers thru and thru. :-)
Scousers you muppet

❤❤❤
The fans are wonderful!
Top lads - Innit!
Is that the same goalkeeper that Chelsea had last week against Spurs?
He made some superb saves last week.
Super-Pete! :0)
I always see the bunnymen as a psychidelic band. Think about it.
Ok, that proves it! Ian uses hair spray to keep his 'do 13:01.
+2degucitas Lol, or orange juice or Coke. Whatever worked.
+C. Smith seriously? people used that?

4th of 25 comeback
guy's voice is shot beyond, mates. nevertheless, for a time, they WERE the beatles. hahaha.
I have NEVER heard Will speak!
He was shy early life. Also is not a total scouser - he and Les from outer burbs
please buy his book
Loved the Bunnymen but I always felt that Mac acted a little too cool.
I love this band - it's too bad they got in their own way of success. Sad really. they could've been way bigger
Jah Lives.
Narrative sounds like he’s got beef

Disappointed 😥
I love Echo and the bunnymen.
Waving flag and wearing cowboy hats. Hmmm, I wondering who he's talking about there?
Well he ain't talking about Steps
thank you Sherlock
LOL
It looks like everyone in Liverpool got plastic surgery to look like Paul McCartney just like Paul McCartney did.
i must say that was one of the worst title sequences i’ve ever seen.
It’s a disaster
so are you, Mr. Car- Crash comment Man
