Naging emosyonal si Pinoy Olympian EJ Obiena nang balikan ang kanyang karansan sa Men's Pole Vault Finals sa 2024 Paris Olympics.
Nagtapos sa ika-apat na puwesto si Obiena na mas mataas kaysa noong Tokyo Olympics kung saan nagtapos siya sa ika-11 puwesto.

Man that was a sad moment, l watched 'EJ Obiena' all the way with the Olympics in Paris, and if any sincere sportsperson deserves a lift financially with the upmost support its 'EJ Obiena' he has dedicated his life aside from his family to commit himself to pole vaulting for the love of the sport and for his country. The Philippines government should give him good will financial support to see him fit as a promising athlete to win a medal at the next Olympic Games in Los Angelos in 2028. And if Carlos Yulo reads this pledge maybe he should go one better and donate 'EJ' some of your prize money as any true country man in the same sporting arena possibly would consider doing, because you both are leaders and have big hearts with the same intentions, which is bringing home a medal for your country in the Philippines.🙏🙏😇

A medal is great but being 4th in the line up of hundreds of pole vaulters in the Olympics is good enough! it is the first time for the Phiippines to have a pole vaulter of your caliber! You have raised the bar and being in competition with the best in the world Olympians is no mean feat.!

The American sports analysts were hyping up the Duplantis and Obiena matchup,and was convinced that this two was the only ones fighting for gold.But leaved it to the American feeling he's an underdog and go to Rocky mode and gun for EJ.What really hurts was that those two he were beating them in the circuit hands down and only Duplantis is the real competition.Those two just rose up to the occasion and there's no other word for it.Hopefully EJ will keeps on going to jump higher than 6 meters during the next 3 years of the circuits.
