The officers are trying to keep the suspect calm so he will offer up more info, 9 out of 10, once handcuffed, suspects will close down or start resisting. They are doing their job. They have to stay calm & feed the suspect what he wants or needs to move forward.

Dude, he's drinking in his own front yard, he called them on himself, said he was not armed, and confessed. They just want to get as much info as possible as long as he's peaceful. Ok so I saw my neighbor digging a huge hole in the middle of the night in a rainstorm. Then his wife was gone. I told the manager, the neighbors on both sides and nobody cared. The people that lived there after him moved out and the how was torn down…soon they’ll be digging up the yard and we’ll just have to see
If this is Marion county in Indianapolis, police act like this to ⬜ people, klan state!!!! My house was broken into while I was on vacation, the criminals even slept in my house and stole all kinds of expensive things and the police wouldn't even fingerprint!!! And they stole my clothes and jewelry and left their shoes in my house!!! I asked the officer, "So, of I was someone like the mayor, it would be a different form of action. He hesitantly agreed and gave me his card after righting a report.... I had several experiences in Indianapolis and glad I don't live there anymore...

Police in situations like this where the defendant is going willfully and being calm/cooperative, tend to want to use the "in here to help you"tactic... it's beneficial to helping their investigation in ways such as building a trust between officers and defendant which in their favor gets them the most information they can get out of the defendant...

I don't think how the cops were handling it was totally bizarre. He had nothing but a beer in his hands. He was not showing any signs of aggression. He was willingly talking about the murder, which could change with the reality of being arrested. They were gathering information.

Complexion for the protection at its finest. I was put in cuffs because I shared the same name of a dude with a warrant! I was 23 and black. The dude was 50 something and white! And the cops were called because a fight had happened, I was just watching the dudes fight!

To me that means he doesn't murder all black people and that was not the reason he murdered this guy. To be fair, he may have used the racial slur because he is also a racist, in addition to being a murderer. Or he may not even be racist, but used that slur to further insult the guy because he hates P's. (I hadn't seen the rest...just commenting as I go).

Well, it looks like the devil was getting his way with those two. They never mentioned it, but where in the heck is the son?
