I am a Portuguese living in the USA. I miss my country so much, the people, and the food, and the vibe. Ovos moles is not supposed to be breathtaking, it is after all traditionally a "holy" desert... just slightly more decadent than communion waffers. But your videography is delicious. You take me home vicariously. Your daughter is pretty. Kisses from USA.
@Joano; did you move here for work ?? Because life in Portugal 🇵🇹 is definitely much better than the 🇺🇸 USA. Hopefully you make it bk home to visit !!!
You cannot imagine how much I (and, Im sure many others) have enjoyed your many very engaging, charming and intelligent videos this year. A huge thank you!
Bill, what a wonderful thing to say. Thank you so much, it really means a lot to read comments like yours 🙏🏼 Happy holidays to you and your loved ones.
I'm Portuguese South African. Father Portuguese and mother Afrikaans - got dual nationality. I really enjoy your content as a fellow Saffa. We (my spouse and I) split our time between our place in PTA and our place in Lisbon. Can't wait to move over full time and bring my team over as well. We do software and are opening our company in Lisbon with the objective of bringing over the current team, and then any new hires will be made from the pool of talent in and around the city. Long story short, I think I have forwarded almost all your videos to our company WhatsApp group, and everyone loves your content. From one Saffa to another, great job.
We spent 2 days in Aveiro in early Nov 2017 whilst driving slowly down the coast from Porto to Lisbon. By chance we were there during University Student Week which was noisy, funny & entertaining. Stayed in the lovely old hotel opposite the shopping mall, took the canal tour and then wandered around the streets until dark eating and drinking. We went to Costa Nova & Barra on the 2nd day. Lovely strolling around the colorful town and walking on the beach and sea wall, along with a great lunch and later a beer at a beachside bar.
very cool. We (my wife and I) stopped by Aveiro briefly this fall going from Coimbra to Porto, and we both really loved it. I think (for my wife) it was because it's the only 'flat' place we visited, lol. It had a cool vibe to it though. Definitely worth a visit.
Maybe it s a bit late to tell but in Aveiro, around those fake fish on the balcony in the video, there is a famous unknown bar which is called mercado negro "black market", its a first floor hold school bar, really good vibe 😀
I've always like your videos. I love how you have morfed into including your daughter, as well as the rest of Portugal. I'm buying a home in Vila Nova de Gaia. Perhaps some day we will meet. I think I may be able to offer some good content.
AMAZING. We homeschool our children and we've been looking at BGA. We have done the webinar, but we have some more questions that we would love to ask a student. Perhaps your daughter would do a BGA question and answer session?
@@AlgarveAddicts you bet. Thanks for the reply Nick. We're in Africa so I'll send them to you on our return later this week. Seeing the BGA Hubs in action has been momentous for us because we haven't seen the inner workings of the Hubs and you've erased a lot of misgivings and doubts already. It's been the missing link. Muito Obrigado 🙏
From the time at sunset, i would say this was filmed in late October or November. If you come here again, we can schedule a tour, i can show you a lot of interesting things around here depending on your likes or what you are looking for.
Nick i so need to watch more of your videos, great information about all areas in Portugal things we never got to experience whilst we stayed there on the canal for three fabulous months in Aveiro, true opinion of your experiences in Portugal.
Been enjoying your videos for a while now. Our family of 4 is planning to move to Braga from Canada this summer, the kids were born in Cape Town, so they also love your videos. Will you be covering the Braga BGA?
Hi Robin, yes we popped in there. Next video is about BGA in Porto and then after that we'll head off to BGA Braga and down towards Fundão, Setúbal and back to the Algarve.
@@AlgarveAddicts AWESOME! Thanks for doing these BGA segments; so helpful to other families interested. Your daughter is so adorable, and I hope she enjoys the school and had a blast touring around with her dad. :-)
Find it funny that some people always are thinking that PT is like a alien nation but I've lived 37 year's in the Hamptons on Long Island New York and things aren't as different as people think they are

I bought a box of ovos moles in Porto and was underwhelmed, too. The shell was tasteless like a communion wafer, and the inside was rather bland--sweet, with not much other flavor.
Another enjoyable video, I love the rapport between you and your daughter. I pray you crossed the Aveiro lagoon and made it to Costa Nova and filmed the beautiful houses by the beach.

Thanks for the lovely Videos, truly inspiring to make me travel to Portugal 🇵🇹
You're welcome, thanks for watching 🫵🏼
My mom’s hometown I was there about 50 years ago and I remember the “ovos moles” and beaches cold water

Sounds perfect Ian, I wish we had had more time for that. I'll have to return to Aveiro!

I Born in Aveiro the most beautiful city of Portugal I live in North Carolina know
I enjoyed this video and the music was good too. The vids with dad and daughter are so sweet. 😊 Aveiro looks lovely.

It's all a question of perception. Some people don't realize the small differences which become apparent after a few years of living here.

Very pleasant video, thank you. By coincidence my worst sushi experience ever was in Coimbra. I don't know what the "Tuna" was made of ahhaa...
Maybe it was river fish? 🤣 That sushi we ate looked good AND tasted even better.

I feel your pain!
Great video. But you guys seem to be rushing through every city/village. Caldas, Leiria, etc., have a lot to see.
To stop on every village or city would be a full time job
Exactly Luis. We had limited time unfortunately.
@@AlgarveAddicts I hope you get a chance to go back!
GREAT
I wanted to reach through my screen and grab that sushi 🤣
It WAS pretty delicious 🤣

Unfortunately we didn't have time. We had to hustle to get up to Porto.
