    I've never considered comparing learning to code, or learning in general, to acquiring achievements in a video game. Simply thinking about it in this way instantly changed my perception toward my coding goals. Yet again, you've made an excellent and insightful video that will help a lot of people, I'm sure. Thank you for your time and hard work in helping out the coding community.

    This is an eye opener! I have been doing these short term things and I haven’t gotten long term gratification. I’m glad that you have pointed this out. I hope now I can learn how to code effectively

    Perfect timing, true, learning code is hard no easy programming language to learn and sometimes i lost motivation and feel tired and sometimes i dont want to code or read about javascript, perfect video, thanks forthis video, keep it up sr.

    That's the toughest part actually. Like even the smallest of notifications from insta turns into a 1hr reel binging session.

    • @InternetMadeCoder

      Precisely. That’s why it’s crucial to not allow even the smallest distraction when you want to be working.

    Long term thinking always win over short term thinking : your life really start to change when you consider your future is the top priority and you do that by sacrificing the present moment and removing a lot of distracting stuff like scrolling on social media, eating candies or pretty much anything that doesn't benefit for our futures lives. Your video (and also previous ones) is a testament of this. Keep making good content, i really appreciate you discussing this even if it's not totally related to coding, it helps.

    your perspective on motivation is almost true i am also learning the web development, initially i was really motivated and was consistent about 10 hours on coding each day however after the month I was felling a little lazy and had urges to procrastinate but now i often do procrastinate but do not give up, that is the thing everyone should keep in mind "not giving up", however You will keep procrastinate until you take actions as you achieve something in coding that hit the dopamine that push you to keep going it's okay to slow... best of luck coders👍

      Imho, I feel that 10 hours of coding a day will only cause you to burn out much, much faster. It's better to study in smaller blocks of time (1-3hrs) so you can fully focus on what is being learned and also be able to retain the information. 10 hours is too long for the human brain to stay focused on a subject all at once.

    Thanks for another great inspiration video. I learned python recently, and i can not find there is hours data type. For example, if i want to make a function or variable for 14:30 to 14:50 to become a variable, so i can substract or do other maths operation in "hours".
    Could you please help me with that problems?
    Thanks in advance

    The reason why I gave up on coding was the IDEs. I couldn't get them to work as they are always demanding strange permissions in PowerShell and each time I tried to do this i get a million warnings errors and I don't know what else. What is the point of a tool that bricks my computer anyway. I mean what is the deal with that? I googled it and yes according to the official MS site PowerShell is not to be touched or used in any way because it gives hackers the freedom to destroy my computer. so yea........... I guess Python is just for Mac users then.

    • @InternetMadeCoder
      @InternetMadeCoder  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you're not into web programming, don't take CS50W.
      CS50AI is great but it requires some good knowledge of Python and data structures, I would recommend practicing Python a bit more and doing a basic data structures and algorithms course first probably, although you can always start CS50AI right away and come back to it later if it's too hard.
