@@Badassvidsz i also have this RS-M45 ,it does works very good today maybe because it was used but not for hours every day i also had at the same time a M25 that matched the power meters on the amplifier display ,i had others from other brands ,i had none or the CT-F2121 and the CT-F1000 needing to be serviced and in two years i had around 20 cassette decks this in 1982, because there was a big neighborhood of german families inside the city where i was born and live there taking 5 years that went to Africa, but they were in south interior Portugal because they had a airforcefield from nato or otan and when returning to germany they would sell their tv and audio equipment very cheap and i went to all fairs they did buying a lot of diferent brands systems for what today is almost 25€, a lot of them were european brands or german and dutch, i remenber being amazed by 79 F series philips cassette decks
The M45 must be the European or non-U.S. model. It is beautiful! The dark brushed metal just works perfectly. And of course it sounds amazing. I just bought a M45, silver face and pro-restored. Awaiting delivery. Bought the M45 to fill the void while my JVC TD-V661 gets restored. Can't wait to compare the Technics to the JVC. Great video and beautiful decks you have there my fellow Hi-Fi enthusiast.
Nice buy! I was wondering why some models of the RS-M45 have the "Metal" word on left side of the front plate? Maybe different kind of versions of the same product?
@@ecanavessi Received my M45 today, works perfectly/sounds beautiful and looks sleek & gorgeous. Just found another dark-colored M45 on eBay listed in Georgia, USA. It looks so amazing but, I'm very satisfied so far w/my silver M45. I assume Technics offered these 2 finishes for same model in 1980 - how avant garde. The "Metal" designation you speak of, I thought that would be on the deck to show it is capable of playing "metal" tapes, new tech for 1980 if I remember correctly.
I have 2x Technics RS-M270x ..They're sound is amazing and even better than some of my 3 headers..I'll never sell it again..also Direct Drive and Sendust head..
I have the M65 in black and just ordered the M45 in silver.. the opposite of yours ;0).. I love the M65 in black is is probably my favorite deck .. also direct drive and just changed the idler.. the only problem with those decks..
I bought my RS-M45 in 1979 and it still works perfectly. Never serviced.
