Sir I want to ask if we want to take a sight of sun for meridian passage we we will be taking the sight at the GMT time right I was bit confused so I just wanted to confirm ?

No at the local time which you get by applying your zone time to the GMT time. The GMT time is used for getting values from the almanac for calculations.
