In the real world of Alaska I own a 1999 Duce & Half with super singles & it has after I had the engine gone over roughly 310 hp & just under 600 feet pound of torque. My wife and I found a travel trailer that takes up all but the last 5 feet of the bed. We were able to keep the canvas bed cover so our home away from home that can not be seen. I am running 44's x 12 "s wide but not with v- tread up here in the cold they would be useless. One has to know when to chain up but chains can also be your worst enemy & dig yourself 6 deep holes. Winches front & rear front runs off the PTO rear is rated at 15,000 but I still need to use block & tackle to double it. My point Ok the people having fun in video's like this is what we have to do just to get the 60 miles to town & 12 miles to the closest road. Our lives depend at times on our truck so that if we get stuck not only in mud but snow we have to know how to get unstuck. This past winter we had over 12 feet of wet snow that caused our houses roof to give way 8 -12 pitch just a really wet snow that I could not remove in time if we had not had our truck set up with - heat - generator - food - etc. we would have frozen to death. We chose to live our lives the way they are just like you chose to have what may seem boring or stupid to others. I at times have to wonder am I the stupid one but it's all in what you enjoy doing or living the type of life my wife & I do. I do not judge anyone doing what they enjoy after all my wife & I would not trade our freedom for any thing. Sorry if I am off topic and such a long reply. I was just trying to give some insite as to why people do what they want & it's because they can. Thank you & cheers
Really you think my part of real life is a crappy story - coming from you a Ten Year Old Girl that's still into playing with dolls I can understand why you would think so. Cheers
awesome video........ Always been just a fan of 4x4's and mudding. I finally did the jump and got a 4x4 to go mudding with. ........question-what is that spinning thing on top of the front pumpkin? (looks like a disc brake)
spool so they can spool up before hitting a mud hole to get the wheel speed up its just like drag racing hold the clutch bring the engine up to 4-5k rpms drop and go same concept but with mud lol
I'm more of a track guy and road racing and all but let me tell you...I had a blast going mudding the other day...haters gonna hate, we're all passionate drivers at heart whether it be on the asphalt or in the mud.
SurvivalSkillz1 I was clearly not talking about a mudding truck. Though I'm sure they exist. If my rock crawler Jeep can push over 100mph I don't see why a truck couldn't hit 150mph.
Geez, the excitement level here is through the roof! Now I know what to do for fun in Texas. I just need to get my truck modified, buy a cowboy hat, and acquire an obligatory "git 'er dun" bumper sticker and I can drive through mud puddles all day!!
are the brakes above the diffs the primary brakes or are they just supplemental to the ones on the axles? I'm not up to par on my mud truck anatomy so thanks for the response!
here's what I dont get ..... if you people dont like and are ragging on what there doing with there own dam trucks . then why the hell are you watching there vids and shit . 99% of you cant even change your own oil or anything else lol quit hating and get off there nuts lol
Yeah that, or the battery is bad, or the alternator is overcharging meaning the alternator is bad. But most of the time its the belt needing to be tightened. usually it wont squeak until you get it wet..then its hell.
slowpoke96z28 If it was that Id imagine he would feel it while driving, it would be really heavy to turn and jerky when you go straight but hell i cant tell from watching a video
I love the low speed torque that monster Dodge Diesel churns out. Just idles through the junk, with only a light touch on the pedal to crawl over anything in its way. Nice job dude.
+SmartassX1 Almost like drag racing, or nascar, or formula one racing. Specially built vehicles to drive along a specific predesignated path. :eyeroll: fuck all of those idjits
Those others can only drive on very flat surfaces. They could be made street-legal in some countries tho. Off-road vehicles with large wheels should be driven in forests and generally places that haven't been driven in yet.
I am by no means a mid trucker, so excuse my lack of knowledge. But what is spinning out of the front and back of your diffs and others that I've seen as well in various videos? Is it simply an additional brake means to slow the gears themselves down? I've tried searching Google for what they might be, but have had no luck. Just interested and curious. Thanks.
I'm glad this isn't my first ever mud trucks clip, it would be enough to put me off looking at any others. WTF is this, the geriatrics nursing home event?
Honestly, if I charged that first steep drop, my wj could get through that mud hole no problem. If you big cowboy hat boys are going to drive monster trucks through mud at least make it impressive...Just saying..
Most boring way to use a truck ever. Hey guys! Lets build huge trucks, and go through random mud puddles really slow until we get stuck.... Trail Running, Baja, Climbing and crawling I get.. This shit......
NoOneImportant556 its called a hobby. Not everyone has the same one. That's why you don't understand it. If its fun to them, then that's all that matters. I happen to like offroading as well, in the mud or rocks. I enjoy it! It's no different than someone who likes to golf, or someone who likes to race cars, or ride motorcycles, etc.
Austin Kalenda i like off roading and various stuff too even stuff i dont like i can see why people would think its fun... This i dont get absolutely nothing fun at all... Get one of them 4 wheelers in the back goin through there and that would be pretty cool i guess.
I know right, it's a waste of time to drive through muddy water, you use a truck for hauling stuff and people put big tires in their trucks and lift them. Anybody can do that
Looks fun. wanted to get into this sport, but cost too much money. lol.. I like that older white suburban. you guys know how much for that 4 wheel steering that suburban has cost?
On Rockwell brand 2.5 and 5 ton axles, it is so the axles of one vehicle can be connected to a second vehicle via a driveshaft and tow bar. Those axles came in military heavy movers, usually 3 axle, 6x6 trucks. If one truck had a motor failure, another truck could hook up to it, making a single engine 12x12, 6 axle vehicle. Also, some trailers have a drive axle to make an 8x8, with extra cargo capacity. In the aftermarket, most ppl put brakes there.
wow now these are trucks like monster trucks wow I love trucks like these especially the really big one I don't know what its called but it the hudge one its ausome but I would have loved to see a little more splashing and mud more of every where not just driving slowly threw but other wise great trucks
That last truck that was forsale sucks balls. I love that huge jacked up white Dodge 2500 turbo diesel, that truck was sick. And also who in the world would buy a truck that was recorded driving through a huge mud pit that was then put on TH-cam!
I love how everyone hates on these videos and then goes to the next one to hate some more...just admit it your addicted. I mean seriously out of all the videos on TH-cam you accidentally came across epic mud trucks? Someone's a closet muddin fan!
i dont know much about 4 wheelin so could some one tell what that is spinning on the front and rear diff.......it looks like some kind of brake to me, not sure though.
Obviously these trucks are for mudding only. No one actualy drives these as a daily driver... Just a fun toy. Id have one of these in a heart beat. I love everything with a motor u can have a blast in!
This might be a stupid question, but idk that much about cars. How does that GMC control its rear steer? Like I said this is probably a really stupid question
a stupid question ... (dont hate on me though) ... why do some of these off road trucks have brakes on the differential ? :? ... im no off road specialist, thank you :)))
It's easier for the brakes to stop power transfer to the wheels than to stop it at the wheels. The brake is on the pinion gear of the differential and uses the gear reduction to amplify braking power. They are less maintenance, perform better, located in a better spot (clearing mud debris) and less plumbing to worry about.
whats the brush guard on the dodge for? just incase it hits a sky scraper or something?
damn thing flexed like a crawler props to whoever built it
The guy who's driving it built it himself

Crappy story.
Really you think my part of real life is a crappy story - coming from you a Ten Year Old Girl that's still into playing with dolls I can understand why you would think so. Cheers
My dolls have stories that are more interesting than yours.
Is that a true story
awesome video........ Always been just a fan of 4x4's and mudding. I finally did the jump and got a 4x4 to go mudding with. ........question-what is that spinning thing on top of the front pumpkin? (looks like a disc brake)

Why do half of these trucks have a squeaky ass belts?
Because aside from doing this they are completely useless
Uh because they are driving through mud and water. Plus their belts are probably dry rotted. Lol.
+30spooln lol there nothing deep enough to get on the belt and I think it's just one truck
With mud tires shits gonna get slung all over the place. Yes on the engine and it's belt.
They to damm lazy to stop and tighten up the alternator belt if it's not a serpentine belt.
I'm more of a track guy and road racing and all but let me tell you...I had a blast going mudding the other day...haters gonna hate, we're all passionate drivers at heart whether it be on the asphalt or in the mud.
The answer is yes: It's called suspension
that white gmc has 4 wheel steering!! awesome! what are those fans on the back of the diffs? never seen em before
Driving 1 mph through a puddle? Fun fun.
It's the adrenaline of flipping, getting stuck, causing damage, etc. Going 150mph+? Dying? Fun fun.
.
SurvivalSkillz1
I was clearly not talking about a mudding truck. Though I'm sure they exist. If my rock crawler Jeep can push over 100mph I don't see why a truck couldn't hit 150mph.
***** Is that even possible?
xcon Productions Sounds pretty fucking stupid to me.
The white GMC at around :40 does it have a diff brake? Those trucks are friggen awesome, I'd love to get 30 min in one of those.
Are you kiddin me?? i can do that shit in a prius
Nyeeeeeh, I'd like to see that.
(No anger intended.)
I think you understands what i mean
Naif Alshehri I do, but I would LMAO to see that. (Says as I see a Prius in a turbo car video.)
I mean that shit is fuckin easy
Naif Alshehri Yup.
Geez, the excitement level here is through the roof! Now I know what to do for fun in Texas. I just need to get my truck modified, buy a cowboy hat, and acquire an obligatory "git 'er dun" bumper sticker and I can drive through mud puddles all day!!
2 inch deep puddles. My Corolla can handle that. This was extreme for sure. :I
are the brakes above the diffs the primary brakes or are they just supplemental to the ones on the axles? I'm not up to par on my mud truck anatomy so thanks for the response!

Amen
+Jess Lamtman i learned how to change my oil at the age of six people at my school ask me if i can change their oil so i make money off of it
Good shit buddy . I just don't get the b.s. people and say to people who make vids about there lives lmao
+Jess Lamtman I don't get why people don't watch this stuff it's cool/funny to see how big these Damn trucks can get lol
Jess Lamtman true
and im glad i motivated you to upload your passion ...and hope nobody trashes you for it
Looks like one of those things you have to do in order to understand why.
How do they make those huge spacers under the coils? Is that stuff welded onto the axle then a coil mount is made? I've only seen it done with leafs
yup all custome made
Andres Rivas I do not know ask your ASS!!!!!!
DEEZNUTZ MAN
tighten your god damn alternator belt
is that what the terrible squeaking is? lol
Yeah that, or the battery is bad, or the alternator is overcharging meaning the alternator is bad. But most of the time its the belt needing to be tightened. usually it wont squeak until you get it wet..then its hell.
willy2535 either that or hydraulic pump belt...
slowpoke96z28 If it was that Id imagine he would feel it while driving, it would be really heavy to turn and jerky when you go straight but hell i cant tell from watching a video
Xejj bad battery causing belt squeak????? haha that's a new one
I love the low speed torque that monster Dodge Diesel churns out. Just idles through the junk, with only a light touch on the pedal to crawl over anything in its way. Nice job dude.
Buy a large SUV and have it rebuilt with giant wheels, only to drive it along a specific predesignated path. :eyeroll:

now this, is surely a sport! i broke a sweat watching i can only imagine how much pain and effort they're putting out there my god!
Honestly, if I charged that first steep drop, my wj could get through that mud hole no problem. If you big cowboy hat boys are going to drive monster trucks through mud at least make it impressive...Just saying..
Man the articulation of that dodge is seriously impressive! Seen alot of trucks break parts trying that!
Most boring way to use a truck ever.
Hey guys! Lets build huge trucks, and go through random mud puddles really slow until we get stuck.... Trail Running, Baja, Climbing and crawling I get.. This shit......

Yea, i feel you lol this mud is not even deep enough for these huge ass tires to get stuck lol
You guys are awesome! The trucks are breathless! Hell yea!
That's a boring video of some slow ass moving trucks on toothpick suspension systems that will snap when they do anything a bit faster.
are those skidder tires on the Dodge and the 4 door GMC
Cash for clunckers all these trucks for $1
I won't lie. I'm a Ford man but that white dodge that crossed all the ruts is amazing.
Why is this even a thing it's boring.
why are you here then?
Looks fun. wanted to get into this sport, but cost too much money. lol.. I like that older white suburban. you guys know how much for that 4 wheel steering that suburban has cost?
Crew cab truck. No Suburban. & I'd bet it's all custom, but still pretty expensive
Sure thing! Glad ya enjoyed it :)
does autozone have mud flaps for those tires
is that a chain drive for axles on the white dodge.?
what are those spinning discs on the front and rear diffs
trip377 Pinion disc brakes.
What exactly do they do?
trevor philips they apply brakes to the whole axle instead of each wheel.
They spin like spinner rims .
+robgrinder fbs
Just by the looks of you, whats yours 3 and 1/2 4 inches?
Are y'all hand making y'all's lift kits. I wanna build one that swivels in the middle too
Are those diffs out of a duece and a half?
When does the fun start??
that trick still for sale ?
the suspension on that dodge was like click pen springs
can you take that on the freeway? and what is the mpg of one of those thing?
how much time and money does it cost to lift a full size truck like that? cost of tires, suspension, driveshafts, shocks, springs?
On Rockwell brand 2.5 and 5 ton axles, it is so the axles of one vehicle can be connected to a second vehicle via a driveshaft and tow bar.

In the aftermarket, most ppl put brakes there.
One word about the video title... YES! That Dodge Cummins was clearly built right.
what are those fans on the axle tubes for?
is that blazer still for sale?
how much do one of those suspension lifts cost? or they all 100% custom?
so what can these kinds of truck hold in the back without leaf springs 1ton?
That DOdge was WICKED badass and a good driver as well
That dodge can't be stopped best mud truck I've seen so far
Do they use automatic gearbox?
how big a lift kit to make it like that i want one when i get older!
what scale rc crawlers is this?
at 0:31, what is that little fan like thing in the bottom left part of the truck?
what is that disc brake looking setup in front of the rear and front diff's?
This is a great event to bring your cousin for your first date.

Can they go any slower?
Is the gmc still for sale

wow now these are trucks like monster trucks wow I love trucks like these especially the really big one I don't know what its called but it the hudge one its ausome but I would have loved to see a little more splashing and mud more of every where not just driving slowly threw but other wise great trucks
do they have power steering?
what is that thing spinning in between the wheels at 0:23 to 0:36?
That last truck that was forsale sucks balls. I love that huge jacked up white Dodge 2500 turbo diesel, that truck was sick. And also who in the world would buy a truck that was recorded driving through a huge mud pit that was then put on TH-cam!
I love how all the trucks go up and down the track, then the dodge says "move over ladies", and cross-threads the hell out of it! lol
what kind of axels are those?
Why the differential have a disc like brake? you know, on the center. what is?, and what it does?
does anyone know what year that big old gmc is? definately thought it was a big old ford...
what kind of differential is that?
how much would it cost to take a ford raptor and make it like one of these trucks?
whats the triangle on the back of the white dodge at 1:44?
Can you tell me what just one of them tires cost?
it sounded like someone was playing ridin dirty towards the end haha well played sir
What part of the country is this? It's gotta be a "fly over state!"
Amazing trucks, and like "startwiththeballs" thanks for not putting music. Cool vid like always, thanks.
I love how everyone hates on these videos and then goes to the next one to hate some more...just admit it your addicted. I mean seriously out of all the videos on TH-cam you accidentally came across epic mud trucks? Someone's a closet muddin fan!
& the Chevy with the Monster Mudders at the end walked up, out of the bog like it was a speed bump. Awesome trucks.
i dont know much about 4 wheelin so could some one tell what that is spinning on the front and rear diff.......it looks like some kind of brake to me, not sure though.
Obviously these trucks are for mudding only. No one actualy drives these as a daily driver... Just a fun toy. Id have one of these in a heart beat. I love everything with a motor u can have a blast in!
How bottles of armor to completely dress ur tires?
Is that legal on road
wat year is that gmc?
Sick trucks! I would love to take any one of those out for a day of muddin!!
how do you get through the drive threw at McDonald's like that?
damn look at that flex, beautiful rigs, those must be some heavy axles
This might be a stupid question, but idk that much about cars. How does that GMC control its rear steer? Like I said this is probably a really stupid question
That flex game is increadible
how do you even get into that thing...
must be so much fun going through the mud as slow as possible.
a stupid question ... (dont hate on me though) ... why do some of these off road trucks have brakes on the differential ? :? ... im no off road specialist, thank you :)))
Some of the surplus military truck axles brake through the differential instead of out at the wheels. They are just using those.
CanadaBud23
thanks :) just what i needed to know :)
How the hell do you get inside those
Ridin Dity is playing in the background, I noticed it towards the end lol
how much is the truck
gotta like the old white gmc truck with the fat wheels and the exhaust stacks out the tray nice vid
honestly i didn't think it could be, and then i went and it was awesome. Especially doing donuts and spinning around. Try it and you might like it.
Never seen a suspension like that before.
Haven't seen rear steering in years.
A lot of people I know that go out to Gator Run have rear steering. It comes very handy
