    I find it so amazing, not only how disciplined and dedicated he is but also that he shares his knowledge and tries to help young violinists on his channel! Bravo, Kerson! Please, keep doing that!

    I think I’m gonna binge watch this entire channel, and add everything in my favorite list, like, add bookmarks. share each video to myself to have more ways to come back here.
    I have watched a few of your recent Art of etude, I really want to deep dive into all the subject you explore.
    I’m so impressed with your playing, and the way you can formulate and express these ideas.
    This is simply the best content for string players out there. not one of the best. the best.

    Thank you kerson! I agree there has to be a delicate balance. Also playing with a metronome is really key too especially with difficult passages which happen all of the time

    Good to know that you actually follow through what other wise teachers told in practice.
    Heifetz told to do mental study first. L.Auer told to practice intelligently and slowly. Milstein told to practice with your head instead the fingers.
    I.Perlman said to practice slowly.

    Extremely slow legato practice in a pantomime fashion, makes perfect. Too many people practice incorrectly thus wasting time.

      @@ascendedbox612 depending on the bow violin and sound you want you could alter. Some soloists use orchestra rosin and others have tried viola rosin on violin bows with good results. However, violin is probably the most common

    Great tips!
    Ok, at end of vid you asked....so my new idea is that, you should narrate documentaries or commercials with that voice. Like morgan freeman.
    Ooh, I may be swayed to watch a narwhal video or buy some un-needed item as a result though, so nevermind.

    • @ascendedbox612
      @ascendedbox612 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I shall watch a narwhal documentary for 3 hours if Leong voices it.
