Gilbert skated at my local park once (in fucking Tasmania) and he did a nollie fs 180 on flat ground right in front of me that seriously popped about my waist high and I'm 6'1. It was utterly fucked. It was my first kinda experience with how good pros actually skate. Also Dustin Dollin was piled out and was harassing Gilbert pretty hard haha. Wouldn't be surprised if Gilbert hates Dollin, which is really easy to understand. Anyways feel free to cool story bro me

Having grown up skating these spots, then seeing Gilbert crush em like this, is nuts. Its even more nuts to catch him and the other venue cats just kick pushin through the city. I love Richmond, man.

This is real street skating! It’s so refreshing to see someone be creative in an urban setting and not just giant handrails and gaps. It’s so stale watching people skate all those “famous” spots like they’re some type of proving ground. This guy obviously has all the ability of todays top skaters, but he also has the originality, style and creativity of skaters from the 90’s and and early 2000’s. Such a joy to watch! Why the rough cut without the part itself?
Backside heel at 11:45 was sick. Gotta appreciate the pop and idiosyncratic style. The spots were good too, growing tired of seeing the same ledges with just a different flip in or out. 5:45 looked like an immediate bust type spot, which made the line even better.
