Pretty handle-able mission as evidenced here. Since you were able to survive for an extended time - as long as the Iron Curtain was up - more on that "trigger" will be discussed below. You were also playing with fire - Rhinos are more expendable than Apocs and more agile, Rhinos able move out of range of the Prisms quicker. I wouldn't ever send the Apocs vs the Prism barricade. I'd Iron Curtain 9 Rhinos and use drive thru tactic to clear the Prism blockade. And best part is this - because Rhinos are so expendable they can even be used as suicide units on that Prism blockade. I might not even bother retreating the 9 Rhinos if I didn't feel like it. 33:07 Neat trick to mind control the Prism Tank. This is a big move in Starcraft as Protoss as the new Terran/Zerg units do not consume from your psi upkeep. Not so big in RA2 where units are more expendable. Plus you have the Iron Curtain to clear the Prism barricade - already more than enough. 47:35 I already knew. In your first attempt I noticed the Mirage Tanks came, but in the subsequent attempts they didn't. The "trigger" had to be the Iron Curtain. Clearing of the Prism blockade wasn't done as optimally/elegantly because there are better options than Apocs. Assault on the bases were very slow/late. I also already correctly guessed that capturing Allied production doesn't give much in the way of high tech units. Rocketeers were meh because this ain't a naval map. I like it that there were no Tesla Coils available so players were forced to use Rhinos. Have you mastered Rhino usage yet? I will suggest to Đăng Nguyễn Trọng - don't make Tesla Coils available in just about any Soviet level - let players learn to use the "Rhino defensive dance". It can be done. The blockade wall could be totally ignored by just sending vehicles across with the Iron Curtain, and in this way also capture production structures across and have 2 sides operating independently. But replay this mission a few times and at least spend 1 attempt destroying the blockade for practice. Also, I earlier said Rocketeers were meh. Well, they are actually very strong in this level. Too strong in fact. I just thought it would be a good personal challenge if people didn't use Rocketeers. I totally missed the part where your Rocketeers were to face Allied AA at the endgame - not flak - and so your Rocketeers would then fare better. Rocketeers are still situational, though. Just as people tend to overuse Rhinos, there are people who will overuse Rocketeers. In fact, even without Rocketeers, this level contains many other options - you could go Rhinos, GIs, V3s to shell the spawn points, and of course the Rocketeers. All are strong units. All are good options. But Rocketeers are particularly stronger in this scenario. Yes, so there you have it - Rocketeers are not meh. I take that back.
I use apocalypse tanks because I like them. They tend to give me a feel of satisfaction. Apocalypse are also much stronger against buildings so taking down prism towers might have been a problem with rhinos.
@@tg.Sacred I completely agree with you on that. But there was an intervening wall of Prism Tanks guarding the towers and my idea was that Rhinos have the DPS needed to pop those Prism Tanks in the short amount of time the Iron Curtain is in effect. When you are left with the Patriots and Prism Towers then Apocs can go in unmolested by the Prism Tanks - which have a longer range too so if the Apocs didn't run away in time the beams could catch up :(

The first thing that comes to my mind is why doesn't the title have [Edited Harder Version]? It's easy, isn't it? I won't talk about selling building, mind-control aegis cruise and using only 4 Apocs instead of adding 5 Rhinos because someone has already talked about it. I also told you about using Rocketeers a little more instead of spamming too many Rhinos. But I forgot to say that you should disperse your force instead of using the T key to pull all the force to one place which weakens the defense elsewhere. It can be a fatal weakness but luckily you passed it. Congratulations! Just a small note to you that you should not place your units in places where enemies will appear because it can cause errors like enemy units will be outside of the map where you cannot attack them but they can do it with your units.
I think tg spam too many rhinos, he can spam half of that amount and build Rocketers, it will help cause you can see Rocketers easily kill those Prism tank, the RHINOS cant without a large group
Yeah this seems anti fun, my strat would be an overwhelming Rockie spam. Allied anti air is really bad at dealing with Rockies only elite ifvs have any chance have a couple thousand of those guys scattered around the spawn points and you'd prolly have a fairly easy time in the survival phase at the end
You should have a built War factory and Barracks right beside the World Trade Center. They should keep of producing units as the enemy attacks. The war factories outside that are lost.
Yes but you also need to paste the original save file of that mission which is also in the discord level. You load that save file and once the mission starts go to menu and restart. Now it will start in the edited level.
That was a rather inefficient use of units, not like your other videos, tbh. So many wasted opportunities. Engineers combined with captured IFVs to repair your tanks (especially the Apocalypses) Not garrisonning any of the buildings close to your base. IFV with tesla trooper for defence? IFV with GI for defence? IFV with non-occupied Yuri. Why stop at 1 prism tank? Why keep the V3s occupied with the carriers after unlocking the rocketeers, and placing them in the same spot. Leave the rocketeers there and use V3s to level the wall of towers. Also, how did you get those reworked missions? And do they work on the original RA2? I've got it from Origin when it was available for free, and I would like to try them myself. (Assuming I can get that piece of junk to work on piece of junk Windows 10 laptop
That's because I neglected completely Yuris. All I wanted was Yuris to just convert the upcoming forces and let them destroy themselves. That frees their mind control to keep doing it for the rest game. Could have used IFV with an engineer but apocalypse repair fast and by the time IC was ready they were on full health already. Plus, I had a service depot in the area where I used them the most. Garrisons are very quite weak in this level. It would be just a waste of time. Why would I need to use IFV for defense when Yuris where already preventing almost everything? IFV are weak, sooner or later they would be destroyed. Would you just keep capturing them and trying to protect them and bother yourself with garrisoning inside a unit all the time? Unless it's a key unit to win a mission I wouldn't bother. I obviously stopped at one prism because there was no need for another one. The missions are uploaded in the discord server. It's mentioned in the video description.
@@tg.Sacred Don't worry you kinda got this level. I actually disagreed with that comment. "Garrisons are very quite weak in this level. It would be just a waste of time." Finally you said it. I see some streamers go garrisons for everything. Importantly a player should know when are garrisons useful, how they're useful. IFVs are considered cheese play. The best way is to combine with Spy, get veteran IFVs, let them spend their early life as GI-turrets then they promote so fast to elite, then unload them and enjoy your MLRS. You don't even need repair IFVs for this level but good to have - so I'm on the fence with Engi-IFV. They're rather for Rhinos, not Apocs! V3s are ironically better versus units than structures. Although their damage type is geared towards structures, in terms of utility, the V3s function as anti-naval or anti-chokepoint, in AI games of course, works wonders. Like over here. The only issue or inefficient use of units would be Rhinos and Iron Curtain. You could have mopped the map with them if you mastered the Rhino. And Iron Curtain making them even more deadlier. They are the reason Tesla Coils are obsolete - in my possible mod idea I'd rather remove Tesla Coil from Soviet tech tree and only have it unlocked under stress scenarios - but the new unlocked version having more health or damage to make it scarier.
you don't even need to farm them on the carriers. 15-20 V3s targetting the SAMs in squads of 6 per 3 launchers will surely deal with them. (Target 6 on a SAM and 3 sams so you don't waste salvos and take them out faster) And after he got the prism tank (I had no idea there were prism tanks left for capture at that stage), why the hack did he stop at 1? Just repeat the strategy two more times and you don't even need V3s.
You need to extract them in your directory but in order to load the map you have to do this: Download the save file of the respective mission and throw it in your directory as well. Enter the game and load that save file. The game will begin in the original mission. Now go to menu and press restart mission and the new mission will be loaded.
For me, 1 hour to complete each Remastered Mission because I like to investigate all the map and compare with the original and find alternative ways to win, and now 😰, each mission could be 2 or 3 hours and a lot of fails probably in the beginning. I will suffer😅
@@DanielNguyen2003 The problem wasn't too little Rocketeers - tgSacred had enough Rocketeers. The problem was their positioning. The first few times tgSacred got overwhelmed, I had noticed the pattern where you the map maker spawned those waves - at the roads leading from the edges of the map. The Rocketeers could have been placed there. But in my main/direct response to the video - I sounded a little over-confident about Rocketeers being meh - I have revisited this and found that Rocketeers were the optimal solution here - especially for people new to this map - but for subsequent attempts and for added challenge - I believe it is possible to forgo Rocketeers and just Soviet units are enough to defend and beat the level. Sometimes I speak too soon because my thinking may be too far ahead to be understood or followed without context.

Where could I download the mission?
Tg leave the link in description. You join the discord and then ask where you can download the map
@@DanielNguyen2003 Thanks. I didn't notice the description.
How do you play in Ra2 in 2022? Is that some kind of remake?
No, I just use the origin version.
Everybody gangsta till TGsacred had enough
It might be easier to farm like 15-20 elite v3s on the carriers then just whittle at the wall slowly?
you don't even need to farm them on the carriers. 15-20 V3s targetting the SAMs in squads of 6 per 3 launchers will surely deal with them. (Target 6 on a SAM and 3 sams so you don't waste salvos and take them out faster)
And after he got the prism tank (I had no idea there were prism tanks left for capture at that stage), why the hack did he stop at 1? Just repeat the strategy two more times and you don't even need V3s.
Where do you extract the download files for this mod? I can't seem to figure it out...
You need to extract them in your directory but in order to load the map you have to do this:
Download the save file of the respective mission and throw it in your directory as well.
Enter the game and load that save file. The game will begin in the original mission.
Now go to menu and press restart mission and the new mission will be loaded.
@@tg.Sacred pls read the note in my comment
Nice extra Hard 💪💪💪💪💪💪
For me, 1 hour to complete each Remastered Mission because I like to investigate all the map and compare with the original and find alternative ways to win, and now 😰, each mission could be 2 or 3 hours and a lot of fails probably in the beginning. I will suffer😅
man that outro. thats just everyones luck. come up with a great plan for a stupid dog to ruin it

I think you think it easy. Haha
too much prism tower
This doesn’t even look fun.
These are no fun at all. Mental Omega instead perhaps?
Tg just spams too many rhinos instead of rocketers, you can see rocketers can deal easily with prism tanks
